    This is the worst protection plan I've ever encountered. It's just a set up to capture money from unsuspecting travelers who believe they are buying travel protection insurance. I recently paid for a trip for my daughter and I to take a Carnival Cruise for her birthday. I paid for the trip and the insurance at the same time on 6/3/24 (no payment plans). My daughter became ill/was hospitalized on 6/10/24 - 6/24/24. The cruise was scheduled for 6/20-6/24. I am well aware that I was too close within the time frame to Cancel through Carnival Cruise line, but that's why I thought I was buying Aon trip protection insurance for unforeseen issues that arise afterwards. Well, first, I was given the run around that others have mentioned. They sent documents out that never arrived at the destination. I finally asked for the documents be sent to me via email, and I forwarded them on to the doctor/hospital. I finally receive a letter 11/24/24 that says they won't pay because: "We have determined, according to the restrictions set forth in the Carnival Cancellation Fee Waiver Program, that we are unable to provide a cash refund of your prepaid cruise vacation cost. ********************* does not waive its standard cancellation provision nor provide a cash refund of the otherwise non-refundable value of your unused cruise vacation should you cancel due to a condition that first presents, worsens, becomes acute or has symptoms causing a person to seek a diagnosis, care or treatment, or prompts a change in medication, during the 60 days before the Cancellation Fee Waiver Program is purchased." Isn't this why I bought the insurance to cover me because the Cruise line's Cancellation may not? I bought it at the same time I paid for the cruise, if it wasn't valid at the time I paid for the cruise, why did they sell it to me? Why else would I need the protection.I would advice traveler against Aon. They are deceptive. They cause more heartache and stress than the life event does.

    Aon has completely given my family and I the run around about give us our money back from a cruise that we missed because of a death of a very close family member that passed unexpectedly days before our cruise. Some of the party was given a refund after 3 weeks and some were still denied money even after sending in the exact same paper work and being in the same relation (aunt) to the deceased. It has been a nightmare to say the least!!!

    We had to cancel our trip because my wife developed a new medical problem. The paperwork was easy. The form they asked my doctor to fill out was straight forward. The company refunded the cost of the trip for my wife and me as well as our son and his spouse.

    My wife and I had to cancel our scheduled cruise which were very excited about, but due to my wife's medical condition, a couple of her doctors told us Not to leave the Country and cancel the cruise. It was heart breaking, but we heeded the doctor's advice. I filed a claim with *** and they did an exceptional job. Very fast response and credited our accounts very quickly. If we try a cruise again, we will definitely use AON again. Highly recommended. Only complaint I have is there was no breakdown of the credit amounts. I think this might be a Royal Carribean issue, more that AON's.

    AON assisted us with cancellation due to a medical emergency. They were kind, compassionate and the process was extremely expedient. I would recommend AON Affinity Travel Practices.

    I was severely injured a few weeks before our cruise departure. I submitted a claim to *** with the info they requested. Within a couple of weeks we had our money returned.

    My wife and I had to cancel our trip two days before departure due to a medical emergency. While sitting in a hospital room, I was able to speak with an agent, explain the situation, and was provided accurate information as well as a link to upload documents. Within a couple of days of submitting the requested information, we were informed we would be receiving a full refund (minus the insurance premium of course). Two days following this confirmation, we had a refund directly deposited to our credit card. Overall, the experience was very positive, excellent communications, clear instructions, quick resolution and deposit of funds. Based on our experience, we would highly recommend AON travel insurance.

    Aon Affinity Travel Practice does what it says it does. I was on a two-month cruise from ******** to ****** and back. During that time I contracted a severe urinary tract infection. The medical team aboard the ship treated me immediately with intravenous antibiotics before prescribing pills over the course of the next week. My bill came to $2365.00. I scanned all the forms and the bill from the ship and submitted everything to Aon. The company approved the claim and reimbursed me within two months.

    My hsuband and I had to cancel our cruise at the last minute due to Hurricane *****. I filed my claim with ***. I was requested to submit a weather report confirming the hurricane of which I had no idea how to do and contacted AON. The representative walked me through an online weather report and continued communicating with me until I accessed and downloaded the report they needed for my claim. He was very patient during this process. Thereafter, my claim was accepted and I received a full refund for my cruise, taxes, and excursions within a few days. I was so glad that I had added AON protection to my cruise, mostly because I got a full refund, but also because of the care I experienced in my communications with their representatives. I highly recommend *** for all travel protections.
