    I had to cancel a European trip just days before a departure due to an injury. I was nervous that I would lose at least part of the several thousand dollar cost. I was wrong. I provided the required documentation online, which was relatively easy to do and received a full refund within a few weeks.

    Aon Travel seems to make it quite difficult to get approved for a refund. I booked an Alaskan cruise with ***, Purchased the Platinum Insurance which costs over $500.00. The cruise was departing in April for myself, my elderly mother and cousin to assist in handling the mobility issues with my mother. My mother contracted Covid in mid Feb with severe complications due to her underlying health conditions. She had 2 doctor visits as well as X-Rays to determine further damage. My mother is still very symptomatic and was still testing positive 3 weeks after the initial positive tests. After much consideration, my mother and her PCP decided that it would be in her best interest to cancel the cruise considering it would be a 5 hour flight and a 7 day cruise and perhaps a little too much for her to handle. An Alaskan cruise has been on my mom's bucket list so this was not an easy decision. I immediately cancelled the cruise with *** and notified ***. I immediately opened a claim and downloaded some medical records to support the reason for the cancellation. They immediately responded indicating that her records were insufficient and needed a completed Physician Statement. My mom's PCP filled the Phy Statement and it was submitted to ***. *** then informed me that they are requesting additional information from other doctors to support her PCP's decision and to make a decision on the claim. I asked if they needed medical information from all her doctors because they would be looking at a book of medical conditions, oncologist, urologist, nephrologist, orthopedic surgeon, pulmonologist cardiologist.. Why would they need additional information if the Phys Statement was already completed and a recommendation from her ** was determined? They did not indicate that they would need her complete medical history when a file was claimed. They try to make it so difficult that claimant's will just accept their denial. That is not me

    I WAS DEALING WITH VERY HELPFUL PEOPLE EACH TIME I REACHED OUT FOR ASSISTANCE.I WAS HAVING TROUBLE FILLING OUT MY CLAIM FORM ON THE COMPUTER AND I WAS FURNISHED A PRINTED PACKET WITH ALL THE INFORMATION I NEEDED TO SUBMIT MY CLAIM.WHEN I NEEDED HELP, I WAS GIVEN THAT HELP AND ALL MY QUESTIONS WERE *********** SOON AS ALL THE INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO AON, THE CLAIM WAS SETTLED OUICKLY AND FAIRLY. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH AON.

    I filed a claims to receive my funds back from a cancel cruise on **************. Aon is the insurance company that I bought the travel insurance ******* is long past the 14 days from **** policy to refund my money and they still have not refunded my money.

    We booked a cruise leaving December 2 2024 and told our travel agent first off that my husband had cancer and wanted to be assured that if we needed to cancel we would receive our money back . Our agent **** ****** at BJ's travel assured us we would get a full refund. Unfortunately we did have to cancel and *** has denied our claim 3 times! We are out $600.00. They should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of senior citizens that way. People beware of which travel insurance you purchase!

    "0" stars. It was like jumping through hoops during the claim process. Then after all the hoops I jumped through, *** denied my claim for luggage and personal property damage. They gave me no explanation. What is the point of having travel insurance? A wheel got ripped off of my luggage after dropping it off at the luggage drop off. The cruise line glued the wheel back on for me during my cruise. However, while I was leaving, the wheel came off again. The glue they used to glue the wheel on was black. The black glue got all over my brand new tennis shoes and brand new crossbody purse I bought for my cruise. I submitted all the documentation, pictures and receipts I had, etc..of damaged suitcase and property as they requested. They denied my claim and gave me no reason whatsoever as to why.

    I filed a claim for missing luggage two months ago. We have provided all the documents that were required. I spoke to someone in the claims department and was told this claim was paid on Feb. 7th but we have still not received the check or anything relating to this settlement. Please note that we took this insurance out in good faith and have been stonewalled ever since. I was the damaged party that booked a cruise with Carnival and NEVER received my luggage. My whole cruise was a disaster and as a result I did NOT ENJOY ANY PART OF IT. The ************** sent me a video of myself and travel partners getting off a shuttle with the missing luggage. It was put onto the cart with the luggage of my travel partners that was to go to the ship and be delivered to my room. It never made it there. According to Carnival it never made it onto the boat which I find hard to believe! I dont think there has ever been a time in my life that I, the injured party, have ever been treated with such disregard! I will never buy insurance again from *** as they have jerked me around for two months. According to the policy we should each receive $1500 per bag. I am still waiting! The worst insurance company I ever had to deal with.

    We just lost over $28,000 from *** and Oceania cruise line. When Oceania sold us the policy they told us how great the policy was so we purchased it. When 2 different doctors wrote us letters telling them that I should not travel because I had been falling like a lot of seniors do, we cancelled our cruise and our claim was denied as a preexisting condition. *** told me to read the 60+ page insurance policy to find this information. How many people read all the fine print when one of the parties sells it to you as ************** only to find out later that it's in combination with AON? We've cruised many, many times and have found that most of the cruise population are seniors. What senior hasn't had a preexisting condition? These companies are taking advance of seniors and making a fortune.

    I recently filed a claim with AON Affinity Travel related to our familys cruise. I was dreading the submission process but found that *** made the whole process simple. We received fair compensation and I was happy with the whole process. I would feel comfortable recommending Aon to family and friends for their travel insurance.

    Aon travel insurance-had to cancel our Alaskan cruise due to travel connections from *******. Plane had maintenance problems and flight was pushed back two times. And we wouldnt have made it in time to board the ship. Insurance .And we wouldnt have made it in time to board the ship. Aon insurance paid some but still owes me money and refuses to pay it..Ive given them all the info they need but wont budge.
