I am filing this complaint against ************************* for misleading advertising practices and unauthorized charges. **** falsely advertises its subscription as a monthly plan, deliberately omitting or obscuring any mention of a binding 12-month contract during the sign-up process. This misrepresentation leads consumers to believe they are signing up for a flexible, cancel-anytime monthly service.However, once signed up, customers are unknowingly locked into a ******** commitment. When attempting to cancel, **** imposes early termination fees or continues to charge for the full annual planregardless of the customers consent or intent. I was automatically enrolled in an annual plan without my clear knowledge or agreement, and additional charges were applied without proper disclosure or authorization. I did not agree to a yearly contract and would not have subscribed had this information been made clear upfront.This practice is deceptive and unfair, and I am requesting a full refund for the unauthorized charges and the immediate cancellation of the annual contract without penalties. Purchased a one month subscription. After carefully following their hidden and impenetrable subscription cancellation procedures, during the one month period, I was informed I would be charged for an additional 26 days at a higher rate. I was not informed of this condition when I signed up. I feel the entire cancellation process is unethical, unfair and deliberately designed to prevent and discourage the customer from canceling their subscription. I signed up for a month which was supposed to expire on 7/16/25. I went to cancel on 7/13 because I did not want to renew, and they signed me up until 30 days after the cancellation, and will charge me until 8/13. This is a complete scam.Customer Answer

I signed up for the 7-day free trial and was charged for some ppv event instead. I asked for a refund but was denied saying that those events were non-refundable. I repeatedly told their customer service representative that I did NOT select that ppv event, especially since it was already over (according to them) and asked for my money back. On 12/21/2024 I ordered a sports broadcast on ******************************************* Svcs in **. Since then, **** without my knowledge, has been charging money every month from my American Advantage Aviator Red Master card number ***** for six months. On may 29th when I received the next statement from credit card I completely accidentally noticed the theft of money from my card by ****, I called in customer service on credit card and open SIX disputes about each unauthorized charge. Charges was made: December 21 st 2024 for $ ***** ( one charge for boxing match coast which was authorized)`. December 29 th 2024 for $ ***** - unauthorized January 29 th 2025 for $ ***** - unauthorized February 28 th 2025 for $ ***** - unauthorized March 30 th 2025 for $ ***** - unauthorized April 29 th 2025 for $ ***** - unauthorized May 29th 2025 for $***** - unauthorized Dispute Cases numbers are: CIS *******, CIS *******, CIS *******, CIS *******, CIS *******, CIS ******* for total amount of fraudulent charges $193.74. All cases were opened on May 29, 2025 but tooday only three transactions have had money returned from **** to my credit card. Attached below are letters received from my credit card regarding the return of funds to my account by the **** company for four dispute cases: CIS ******* - $*****, CIS ******* - $*****, CIS ******* - $*****, and CIS ******* - $*****. In fact, out of the four cases, only three cases resulted in the receipt of funds in my account. One credit from this four cases for the amount $ ***** is still missing (as evident from the attached statements). Based on these findings, I strongly suspect that the **** company is engaging in fraudulent activities and defrauding its clients accounts. Refunds for the two cases, numbered CIS ******* and CIS *******, totaling $***** each, were never received. In addition, despite the theft of $193.74 from my credit card by ****, I only received a refund of $95.97. Therefore, the company still **** me $ 97. 77Customer Answer

On Sept. 8, I renewed my **** subscription through ***** Subscriptions. When I attempted to log in to the **** app on my TV, my entitlement wasnt recognized. In order to avoid missing any live content, I signed up for a subscription via the **** website.The following day, I reached out to support to cancel the additional subscription. I was told that I would receive a refund in 2-3 days.Assuming everything was handled, I didnt check to see if the refund was issued until I noticed in January that I had been getting charged twice monthly (one from ***** and one from DAZN). I have attached receipts from my credit card statement and ***** payment history showing the duplicate payments from September-January.I made several attempts to rectify this in conversations with **** support agents. Each time, they claim a refund for two months was processed in January. I reached out to my credit card company (****************) twice and they confirmed a refund was not issued from ****. I was able to get a two-month refund from ***** (applied in January).Ultimately, I ended up paying $79.08 per month ($39.54 x2) from September to January along with a single fee for February ($39.54), totalling $434.94 for the season. I should have been charged $237.24 ($39.54 x 6 months) for the season. Accounting for the refunds issued by ***** ($79.08), I still ended up being charged $118.62 ($39.54 x 3 months) more than what I owed for the ********** is only fair that **** refund me $118.62 for subscription costs (3 months) I should have never incurred had they processed the cancellation, as they informed me they did, when it was first requested.Additionally, **** said an email address that is not mine was associated to my account. The card associated to that address is also an Amex Cobalt and we share the last 4 digits, according to the cards owner, who **** erroneously looped into our support email thread (screenshot attached). On January 11th My mother in law dog sat for us in January and accidentally subscribed to **** - thinking we were already subscribed - so she could watch the **************** football game my husband and I were at. I never received a copy of the contract or Terms and Conditions that she agreed to upon making this purchase On January 13th I canceled the subscription and received a confirmation email I continued to be billed monthly by **** and only noticed in June I chatted with **** online **** today, June 19th, to find out why I was continuing to be billed They stated I was signed up for an Annual billed Monthly plan and would continue to be billed, and that all I canceled was the auto renewal of the plan, and that I could not get a refund and would continue to be billed Eventually they offered to cancel the contract if I paid $100. I received an email stating my subscription had been canceled and no further payment would be taken however I also removed my payment method from file so Im unsure if I got this email because of my complaint or because I removed their way to take money from me. I have not received any refund for the payments taken after I canceled the subscription 6 months ago.

5-3-2025 Purchased *** event from DAZN.Cost: $97.41 DAZN forced me into a subscription without my knowledge. I was charged:$32.46 on 5-10-2025, $32.46 on 6-9-2025.I was never emailed a receipt or charge notice. I had no idea I had a subscription.And now they won't give me a refund or cancel the subscription.
