-Date: 04/02/2024 -I tried to use Zip pay to break up a bill in the amount of $156.26, which would be $39.07 every 2 weeks over 4 payments. Zip charged me $928.65 and charged an initial down payment amount of $442.65, which caused me to get an insufficient funds charge through my bank of $32. I tried to reach out to Zip on their messaging sight, and I'm not sure if it was an AI bot, but they were very unhelpful and just restated that the amount charged was $928.65 and that one the payment actually processes they can reimburse the amount not spent within 13 days. This is absolutely inexcusable! They should have charged $39.07 and they charged $442.65 and then have 3 more payments set to charge $164, when the original actual bill I was paying was only $156.26. I feel like they fraudulently overcharge customers to use those funds for other customers zip payments and then reimburse them back when they overcharge the next person and the cycle repeats. I did file a fraud charge with my bank as the amount they pulled was fraudulently taken, and I'm hoping they can resolve it if Zip doesn't. I need this money back in my account ASAP as I have other bills paid and now have "hot" checks floating about. At this point, I want a full refund and I will pay the bill on my own or a immediate credit adjustment to charge charge $39.07 over the next 3 payments and reimburse me back $403.58 ASAP.
