On 03/07, I submitted a request through ***'s help form to remove my profile from their website for institutions where I no longer work. Despite this, I have not received a response, and my submission remains unaddressed. The automatic email lacks a timeframe for resolution and discourages follow-ups, warning that additional tickets may increase wait times: "Please note that sending additional tickets regarding your issue can increase wait times for yourself and others." Attempts to contact **** corporate number have also failed, leaving me no options for resolution.RMPs terms explicitly state that profiles will be removed for educators no longer employed at listed institutions. Yet, my profile remains publicly visible in direct violation of their own policies. Moreover, these profiles often include false, defamatory, and misleading comments that misrepresent both my teaching and the institutions where I briefly worked. **** lack of validation for comments allows anyone to post baseless claims, causing serious harm to educators' reputations without accountability. This negligence has caused me immense mental anguish. Knowing potential employers can access these damaging and false remarks has had a devastating impact on my professional reputation, leading to lost opportunities, financial hardship, and ongoing emotional distress. Every day RMP fails to act, I suffer further harm to my well-being and career prospects.I urge RMP to honor their terms and remove my profile immediately to prevent further damage to my mental health, professional standing, and personal life. This issue cannot continue unresolved.

I have requested in writing that my personal information is removed from their website on three separate occasions. After my initial request, my message was finally acknowledged nearly one week later stating they were not removing my information. Subsequent correspondences to the company were not acknowledged by the company. I did not authorize my information to be shared with this company and shared with the public for public information and possible character defamation. I demand that all of my information is permanently removed from this companys database, immediately.

I am filing this complaint against Rate My Professors (RMP) due to their failure to remove my professor profile despite multiple requests. I was a sessional instructor at ********************** for only one semester (Fall 2024) as a substitute for another instructor. I was given little to no course materials and had to create everything from scratch under challenging circumstances.*** has previously stated that they remove profiles for professors who no longer teach at an institution, yet they have ignored my repeated requests. This situation has caused severe distress and impacted my mental health, making it difficult to function in my professional and personal life. The profile contains false, misleading, and defamatory comments that do not accurately reflect my teaching, as they fail to acknowledge that I was a last-minute substitute with no preparation time. Despite following RMPs processflagging comments, emailing their support team, and requesting removal multiple timesthey have stopped responding.I am formally requesting BBB's assistance in having RMP:- Remove my professor profile immediately as I no longer teach at the institution.- Respond to my emails and confirm the removal timeline.I hope this matter can be resolved quickly, as it has significantly impacted my well-being and professional reputation. Thank you for your assistance.

I have been calling and emailing Rate My Professor, asking them to remove from their site my name, professor reviews, and anything associated with my former teaching at ************************* or any other institution. I have not taught anywhere since 2022 and I have moved on to another career that does not involve teaching. The site says " We do not remove professors from our site unless they are no longer teaching at the listed University and have been removed from the college's website." I have been removed from the *** website but I have received no responses to my multiple emails to RMP and their phone number now says it is no longer being serviced due to a "transition." The Rate My Professor reviews come up on any ****** search a potential employer might do, and it is a distraction and potentially damaging to my job prospects. As many educators have already made clear in the published BBB complaints posted on your site and in discusssions all over the web, Rate My Professor does not verify the validity of student reviews and seems to be abdicating all responsibility for managing the site. I hope you can help me to get my accout removed at the very least, but in my opinion RMP should just remove its content from the web until it is done with its transition and can properly manage its ************* about policy for removing professors from the site: **************************************************************

This is my second complaint against RateMyProfessor and now, they are saying in an auto reply that they are overwhelmingly busy with no return response guarantee, as well as a threat that trying to contact multiple times will result in a longer time for a complaint resolve. I do not teach at ***. I haven't since 2019 (you can check all records). The following review popped up the other day under my name at ***: **************************************************. RateMyProfessors is supposed to check accuracy that the course/school matches the professor prior to allowing them to post and yet again, no due diligence was done. As an adjunct instructor, any review that isn't accurate ***** my reputation. Thank you for your help.

Rate My Professors (RMP) at ratemyprofessor.com has refused to remove my name or profile from its website. Since 2020, they have allowed alleged students to post false, malicious comments about my performance as a professor, and they have followed me (cyber-stalked) me around at every university where I have taught since 2015. I perceive what the students have posted as libelous and dangerous to my professional reputation. Recently, I asked *** to stop and remove my name from its platform, but they claim they have the right to keep my name and profile on their site, yet they continue to allow alleged students to post slanderous and unverified claims about my teaching/performance and they delete my comments daily although they provide a space for professors comments. It appears that they are in an official university role, gaining evaluations from alleged students. Thus, are they acting on behalf of the **********************************************, who is my employer? I want nothing to do with *** operations. At minimum, I should be permitted to opt out of their operation, but *** refuses to let me do so. They have repeatedly published my name on their site and it feels to me like CYBERSTALKING. In addition, I work a full-time job elsewhere and everyday that they publish my name on their site they are profiting from it and causing harm to my professional reputation. By using my name on their site, they are making it seem like I want to be a part of their business and I do not want anything to do them; they are not an educational institution. What authority do they have to refuse to let me opt out of their business? I believe they are engaging in misappropriation and/or the invasion of my right to publicity. They have absolutely no right to profit from my name or image on the Ratemyprofessor website and platform and I want them to cease and desist from using my name, person, or image immediately and forever.

Rate my professor is allowing a post to stand calling a colleague a "*****" which is a clear 'obfuscation' of "*****". "**************************************************"Date: March 21st 2023 Exact Quote "She is a WH0*e"The comment has been flagged and cleared by RMP - and in no world is lobbing an accusation like that at another human being not a violation of their terms of service. When the comment was cleared, an attempt was made to resolve the issue by contacting support, but with no response. Rate My professor is tolerating defamatory and incredibly sexist harassment on their site.

Rate My Professor provides a platform for slanderous online bullying. I understand that students should be allowed to voice opinions, but on 1/3/2024 RMP posted a note from a student, which misstates the very contours of the class and misrepresents my work as an instructor.

************************************************** complaint on Aug 31st, 2024 is not correct as ******* is a programming class and ****** teaches A+ Computer Fixing videos. It clearly is a wrong class/ person. I did research on ****** and it has nothing to do with programming. I teach *******. I dont use any videos from ******. Plus it violates some of the terms and conditions. Profanity, name-calling, and/or vulgarity: The term "lazy" is considered a derogatory or personal attack, as it critiques the professor's effort without constructive *************** about employment or bias: The comment directly reference employment status or bias, stating "they should pay Professor ****** for this class, not this guy" is unprofessional and is a claim about professor's competence and employment.Constructive feedback: The comment includes personal judgments rather than constructive feedback, especially in statements like "he's clearly not putting much attention to anything in this class" and "I swear I could throw a better one together by midnight." These attack the professor's work ethic, which violates the rules on personal attacks.

I am no longer a faculty member at the university that is associated with my RateMyProfessor.com profile. The website has a policy that says that professors can have their profile removed once they are no longer listed on the college/university's website (see: **************************************************************). I reached out to the support team requesting removal of my page three weeks ago and followed up after that, but I have not received a response. I'd like them to respond to my claim and take down my profile immediately. I have already provided them proof that I am no longer listed as a faculty member, but I can send it again upon their request.
