    Drop notified users it was impacted by a banking collapse in April 2023 and that gift card redemption would be significantly delayed. I had a gift card pending for about 2 months and mid July they then notified us that the issue was resolved, they are refunding points back, and we will be able to instantly redeem gift cards again. This means my $50 gift card was refunded into points and I must use the new system to redeem. I now have over $100 of points and we can only redeem gift cards once a week with a *** of $25. Gift cards are only available at 1pm EST every Thursday. I have tried for 4 weeks to log on at this time and the server shuts down, and then when I can get back on the cards are sold out. I have contacted customer support multiple times and all they have done was offered a generic response and then copy and paste the same thing if you respond to their response. It seems they are continuing to use customer data with no resolution for us to be rewarded in exchange. I would like to redeem all of my available points in the form of a gift card

Along with this improvement, we also made the decision to reduce the amount of app pages that are due to load around the time of the gift card drop to ensure the load on our servers was not too much to handle. Both of these improvements worked and allowed members to redeem even faster than usual with no issues. In fairness to our other members, we will not be able to redeem your points on your behalf and send you gift cards as you have requested.

    I am still not able to redeem my points. We are working on it with no definitive time I will have the reward, including not allowing the redemption of the reward I actually redeemed months ago and was supposed to receive and then was informed I could not redeem and the points would go back in my balance that has now IMPOSSIBLE to redeem for 3 months. Given this businesss history of not fulfilling rewards I was specifically told were pending redemption,  why would I believe the even more vague answer that they are making it easier for more people. This means we could be waiting years to redeem rewards while they continue to benefit from taking our consumer information. This is completely unacceptable and disappointing.

    Drop changed their redemption process in that you can only redeem points at 12 PM CT on Thursdays. At 12 PM, the 'network is down' (too many users) and when you get in 3-5 minutes later, the gift cards are all sold out. Essentially this company is tracking individuals data and selling it without having to pay the provider for it. This is unethical. You used to be able to redeem rewards when you wanted without issue. I have since unlinked my Credit Card; however, I would like the $50 in gift cards that I am owed.

    This is an app that gives you gift cards for shopping and completing surveys. They used to do that, but now they don't. Back in late March or early April, I requested a gift card. Usually they give you one. But Drop told me that they would send me a card within 45 days. Then they said it would be within 60 days. Then it was indefinite. Now, drop cards are "available" to claim at exactly 12pm on Thursdays. I've followed all of their instructions. I open the app and go to the gift card section where it says "more cards available on [this date]" (the date I log in). Instantly, it then says "Gift Cards are sold out, try again [in a week]". I've tried four times. I've turned in support tickets. But now support doesn't even email you, it's an auto-reply. They need to be held accountable for stealing people's time.

    The response from the business that gift cards are sold out "in under two minutes" makes it sound like they don't usually sell out in under 30 seconds (if they are actually sending out gift cards--I try every week and get an error message and then a message that they're sold out. Based on all evidence I've gathered from the past three months, they aren't actually remunerating people at all). This is not an adequate response--it is misleading at best. Grifting money off of people struggling to pay bills should be a crime.

    App doesn't allow gift card redemptions. If you even try to claim one, it says the account needs to be verified through text but has no place to input the code when given. They have my credit card information and the transaction was points for gift cards, but it seems to be a scam now where they don't make it possible to get one.

    The technical issues you faced were not intentional and we want to assure you that we are not now, nor have we ever been a scam, a bait and switch company, or the like. We are a legitimate loyalty company offering gift cards in exchange for points which can be earned through shopping with specific brands. Thousands of our members have been able to redeem their points for gift cards since the new redemption process went into place and all of those gift cards have been successfully delivered to their rightful owners.

    We have recently made improvements to the redemption process that allowed members to redeem their points while encountering fewer errors along the way. Along with this improvement, we also made the decision to reduce the amount of app pages that are due to load around the time of the gift card drop to ensure the load on our servers was not too much to handle.     Drop offers rewards for completing tasks, shopping and games. For awhile they shut down their gift card redemption claiming to be from the bank shutdown. It said all gift cards would be processed within 60 days. They were not. They recently reopened it and gave us our points back to redeem but they only allow you to redeem 1 day a week at 10am pst. The app crashes and confidently doesnt work all during this time every time I have attempted it. 4 minutes later the app comes back up and says sorry were all sold out. This has been for every attempt. They dont take any accountability for their app. I want to collect my 75 dollar Amazon gift card. And I want drop help accountable for their promises they cannot keep.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for letting us know. We are aware of this issue of being asked to verify details that have already been verified. For some reason (which we are currently investigating), our backend system is surfacing this error when a member has attempted to redeem gift cards which have already sold out.

    I can assure you our engineers and Product Managers are aware of this and are already looking into it. All we can attribute it to at the moment is gift cards being sold out. Different errors were surfaced in the past, and unfortunately right now we're trying to figure out why our system is currently surfacing this particular error message.

    We appreciate your patience while we work on figuring this out. We do not have a resolution for this at the moment, but we're hoping in the coming weeks we will. Please know that if you are seeing this error repeatedly, there is no action required on your part (no verification needed), but it does mean that gift cards have sold out. They've been selling out consistently in under one minute for a few weeks in a row now.

     This has not been solved. And is not the only issue. I have been in the app before the 10:00 drop time. And I get different errors or the app crashes and times out or doesnt load. 
    these issues have been ever since this started.. 

    the banking crisis happened a long time ago and the app issues have been since then. It seems shocking that there is no resolution to these issues.

    Drop app recently changed the way it redeems gift cards. ALL pending requests going back several months were canceled and they instituted a new method. This new method was to redeem a limited amount of gift cards each week on every Thursday at 1 PM ET. ALL available redemptions are gone in less than 2 minutes. The company is silent on how many gift cards they are redeeming each week and why they have created a fastest finger first policy rather than distributing it equally.

     They are still skirting the main issue about the change in redemption process. Rather than allowing anyone with accumulated points, they have implemented a selective process which is has a less than 2 minute redemption window. They have themselves agreed in the previous response that its a faster finger first policy.
    Before this new policy, redemption was 4 months after one requested. Then they came up with a new process to limit redemptions.
    If they are indeed handing out thousands of redemptions as they claim, why not let anyone redeem as per their schedule rather than a less than 2 minute process once a week? 
    Companies and competitors who want to redeem the points dont impose restrictions on redemptions or have a limited window period of less than 2 minutes a week redemption window.
    One can infer from all this whats going on. One doesnt need to be a rocket scientist to see through all these restrictions they have added is to directly reduce redemptions for which they have already received the money from the advertisers.
    From previous complaints from others on BBB, its very clear that since April or earlier, they have limited redemptions. Cancelled all those and introduced new redemption procedures.
    I guess next step is to direct press and all their advertisers to this page so they can get some real answers from them.

    I have been waiting to redeem my points for months without anything to show for it. I initially redeemed my points a few months ago, and was told I would get the gift card within 2 months, which didn't happen. Then drop rolled out their new gift card policy in which they drop a few gift cards each week. I have not been able to get in to redeem these gift cards, as the app continuously crashes at the time that they are available and by the time I can finally get in all of the gift cards are sold out. I have enough points to get at least two gift cards and have been putting months of work into getting to my standing. I've given the app a lot of data for my work, and this just feels criminal. I need compensation for my points.

    Drop changed their gift card redemption to only being able to redeem at 1 pm on Thursdays. The past 3 Thursdays I have logged into the app right before 1, but then the app crashes and when it reloads 5ish minutes later all gift cards are sold out. I have over $325 worth of points that I now cant redeem. This is completely unacceptable.

    The App does not payout cashback I earned. They recently introduced a new redemption way of a limit supply of gift card redeemable each week. They say the gift cards are restocked every Thursday at 1 pm. However, when I tried to redeem sharp at 1 pm, the app could not be opened and the content could not be loaded for around 10 mins. After that, all supplies were gone when I finally was able to get in. I highly doubt there was any real supply or the app is totally fraud.

    We have recently made improvements to the redemption process that allowed members to redeem their points while encountering fewer errors along the way. Along with this improvement, we also made the decision to reduce the amount of app pages that are due to load around the time of the gift card drop to ensure the load on our servers was not too much to handle. Both of these improvements worked and allowed members to redeem even faster than usual. As a result, our gift cards did indeed sell out and have continued to run out in under 2 minutes.

    We are continuing to introduce new improvements ensuring more members will get gift cards with each drop, so please keep your eyes peeled for more improvements to come. As always, any major changes that go into effect will be communicated to the entire user base.

    First, I want to assure you that we are not now, nor have we ever been a scam, a bait and switch company, or the like. We are a legitimate loyalty company offering gift cards in exchange for points which can be earned through shopping with specific brands. Thousands of our members have been able to redeem their points for gift cards since the new redemption process went into place and all of those gift cards have been successfully delivered to their rightful owners.

    I want to reiterate that we have indeed been sending out gift cards as promised. We have recently made improvements to the redemption process that allowed members to redeem their points while encountering fewer errors along the way. Along with this improvement, we also made the decision to reduce the amount of app pages that are due to load around the time of the gift card drop to ensure the load on our servers was not too much to handle.     Drop is an incentive business where they advertise if you shop/earn points then you get to redeem points for rewards like giftcards. On the front page of their website they adversities it as being as easy as 1,2,3 to shop, earn, and redeem. This is false. It is impossible to redeem points since the new updates. They are a scam. The customers like me earn points fairly based on the rules outlined by Drop. But Drop does not uphold their end. They take customers shopping/user data and their membership numbers but then dont reward members.Drop made many new rules regarding giftcards. Because its the only reward any of us members want and the main advertising incentive that drop boasts. Now giftcards are only available on Thursdays at 10am PST. Today 8/3/23 and last Thursday 7/27/23 I was prompt and opened the app right at 10am. Both time there were so many technical issues and app errors that made it impossible for me to redeem for the rewards that drop promised would be as easy as 1,2,3. Their app did not open for a good few mins. Then the giftcard page wouldnt load for another min or two. When I finally found a giftcard to redeem and I pressed the redeem button it would pop up with errors. This was while drop showed there were still available giftcards. It would just load forever after clicking redeem then pop up with an error or it would say I need to verify my account with a text message. Not once did they say this needed to be done first and it likely wasnt a valid pop up. But rather one to prevent customers from getting the rewards they promised. No text message or email or any contact from drop was received during or after this. But it made it impossible to redeem rewards during the couple minutes you can each week. Technical issues are intentionally left to prevent members from receiving rewards. Errors and issues are knowingly not fixed. App is not updated to handle app users on ************************** was contacted with no response.
