Due to historical positive reviews, downloaded app called "Drop," a passive cashback system where you link bank accountS and/or credit cards. Weekly, "activate" rewards. If particular percentage of deal going on for a company during given week, You use linked card/bank account to purchase, get points you redeem for gift cards/other "rewards". After linking my bank account and several credit cards and earning points, it came to my attention that this company went bankrupt over a year ago. There are countless reports from consumers noting that reward points are impossible to redeem, customer service representatives are impossible to contact, and it is impossible to confirm the deletion of personal information provided to Drop. It is assumed that the company continue to sells your personal information for their benefit.After looking into this, I realized that the application will not allow me to unlink my bank accounts and/or credit cards. It receives an error everytime I try. I tried to delete my account, but I receive an error. My current device is fully updated and the application is fully updated. When navigating to the "contact" and "support" sections, a blank page loads - there is no information whatsoever to contact customer support for any reason.Following this I navigated to their webpage. Upon selecting "privacy/PII concerns," "customer support," "account deletion," etc, even the webpage gives a "page not found" error message. There is absolutely no way for a consumer to contact this company whatsoever.last resort, asked ******* conduct deep search locate any contact info for company. Reached out to ******************** and ********************* Received autoreply from both. Autoreply from ******************** told me to navigate to link to exercise my data subject rights. Link is broken. I navigated to their webpage and conducted a search of all possible directories on their domain, and the link that they provided does not exist.Customer Answer

Drop App claimed to give gift cards for points earned from online purchases. I have ******* points in my app. I have tried for 10 months to claim these points during their weekly redemption lottery. The entire premise of Drop was that in exchange for credit card data, users would gain points that could be exchanged for gift cards. Over the past couple of years, Drop has stopped giving out gift cards altogether (or, they give such an infinitesimally small amount that it is tantamount to nothing). They hold a farce gift card drop every week where they pretend there are gift cards up for grabs, but then do not actually award any to anyone. The gift cards "run out" within fractions of a second of the process starting, every single week for years. They have completely stopped answering all customer support emails in the process. The app, in effect, does absolutely nothing at all, as the points currency cannot be used for anything whatsoever.Customer Answer

I have used the Drop app for years. In its infancy I was able to redeem points for a $5 gift card as an example, but in the last year I have not been able to redeem points for any rewards and the app shows gift cards as sold out. Ive even set an alarm according to when the app said gift cards would be back in stock only for them to push the date even further. Ive tried contacting their support line and have heard nothing back. Their website link for help is not found and its really shady. Whats the point of a rewards app if you cant redeem for rewards? This app is poorly managed and Id dare to say card information is probably not kept safe if they cant even manage their rewards system.Customer Answer

I signed up for the Drop App and linked my credit card account in order to collect points for my spending. After a few years of receiving my shopping data, I was ready to cash in my points for gift cards that were promised by the company. The company then changed their redemption availability and no longer allow users to redeem their points for gift cards whenever they have accumulated, but instead have to enter a lottery for a limited number of gift cards once a week. I have tried unsuccessfully for the past year to redeem my points for gift cards and have not been able to cash in on the over $400 worth of points I have available in the app's system. I have tried to contact customer service at least three times in the past six months and have never received a response, either through their App help service or via email to customer service directly. I would not have allowed an app to gather my personal shopping data without compensation and am now left without anything for the data they received.Customer Answer

This app has been an absolute scam. They used to simply award you gift cards when you earned enough points. For a few years now they "apparently" only issue a few gift cards once a week. I log on right away at 12:00pm on Thursday on the dot, select a gift card and NEVER actually get one. I believe the app is a scam to collect data. They don't actually give out rewards and gift cards anymore. This app needs to either reward users with gift cards when they have enough points to cash in or it needs to be shut down immediately.Customer Answer

I have been a longtime Drop user since 2018. The last time I was able to redeem my points for a gift card was December 30, 2021. Since their new policy of gift card redemption, once per week @ ******* points which = $125 or 5 x $25 has been impossible to receive and they are holding my points hostage. I have reached out to customer service several times was told they were working to this to change back to a better in 2023 and have not been able to reach an agent once demanding I have my 65k points redeemed for a gift card and account closed. I have been using the Drop app to earn points through qualifying purchases with the understanding that these points can be redeemed for gift cards. However, every time I attempt to redeem my points, gift cards are out of stock within seconds of becoming available. I have tried repeatedly, over multiple weeks, without success.I contacted Drop support at **************** and received a generic response that did not address or resolve the issue. I requested either (1) a manual redemption of my points or (2) closure of my account with the rewards honored. Neither request was fulfilled.Drop continues to promote its rewards program, yet it appears to intentionally restrict redemption to an unreasonably small window, making it nearly impossible to claim earned rewards. This feels deceptive and exploitative, and I believe it constitutes false advertising and unfair business practices.Resolution Sought:I want Drop to (1) manually redeem the full value of my earned points as gift cards or a cash equivalent, and (2) permanently delete my account afterward. Accumulated ****** points since August 2022 and there is no possible way to redeem the points (which translates to $74.27) via gift cards or anything else; the option to redeem giftcard has been sold out for over 3 years. I have my credit cards linked to the app, and have been spending money through their offers in order to gain the points which I should have the option to redeem through gift cards- but Drop makes it impossible. I want my $74 now. There is also no working links when you click on Help or FAQ in their app or website. No way to contact them.Customer Answer

The app has promised gift cards for collecting my shopping data and now limits gift card redemptions to Thursdays at 1pm. When logging in early and waiting for 1pm, they are always sold out by 1pm. I dont believe they intend on filing any gift cards for people. I am owed the equivalent of almost $300
