    The core promise of Drop Technologies, as advertised, can be broken down into three steps: "Step 1 - Download the app to get Drop Points for shopping at the brands you love were free to touse! Step 2 - Dont forget to link your debit or credit card to earn pointsseamlessly. Step 3 - Cash in those Drop Points for gift cards and other greatrewards."As a 3+ year user, the initial promise of a seamless experience has eroded. Although I've consistently followed the first 2 steps of the process, Step 3 has become a major concern. I have been unable to redeem my points since Drop introduced a problematic "weekly gift card release" system. Gift cards are released weekly at 1pm EST but are impossible to redeem. The app crashes and by the time you're able to relaunch the app they are sold out within 2 minutes. The implementation of this system has been deeply flawed, resulting in a frustrating experience for countless users. This app instability is well-documented across various platforms, including Trust **************** Apple App Store, and ****** Play, as evidenced by numerous complaints and reviews. Users were lured into the platform with the assurance of a straightforward and rewarding experience. The reality, however, suggests a bait-and-switch tactic, where the advertised ease of redeeming points for gift cards has become nearly impossible to achieve in practice.Drop may respond here claiming they "have indeed been sending out gift cards as promised". This statement is neither quantifiable nor verifiable by the average user who has fulfilled their end of the deal by sharing their personal data with the service. This issue transcends mere technical glitches or operational inefficiencies; it is a fundamental failure of their business model. I urge BBB to investigate and prompt Drop to rectify this. Users should not be lured into a service with promises of rewards only to find themselves locked out of the benefits they earned due to persistent technical issues.

    This app has turned into a scam. It promises if you link your credit cards and banking information you will receive points that are redeemable for gift cards. However, they changed the app and it is impossible to redeem a gift card but they are still profiting off our financial information. The gift cards are only offered once a week 1:00p.m. eastern time and "sell out" before 1:01p.m. The app also glitches during this time further making it impossible to redeem. I have ****** points which is equivalent to $80.42 and i have been trying for months to obtain a gift card.

    Scam. Scam. Scam. Sure wish the owners, developers etc. would just be transparent and come out and say hey folks, we tried and we failed, there are no more gift cards. We regret that we cant fulfill our promise to you after collecting your data. Now they just look like fools continuing to dupe customers with the Thursday at 1pm gift card drop that doesnt exist! Shame on you Drop, your product was great now youre just a big fat #fail.

    This business has caused me to lose money. You use their app when doing online transactions with the promise of earning points that can be turned into cash. Before finalizing an online transaction, I would weigh my options for the best savings. I could use rakuten, or my credit cards money back guarantees or numerous other apps that promise the same reward in exchange for gaining access too your online transactions which can then be turned around and sold to companies for alot of money. I chose the drop app over others many times and racked up almost 300 points which is exchangeable for $300 back in gift cards. Drop suddenly changed their policy to only provide a select number of giftcards once a week. They did not honor the points turned in for gift cards months prior to announcing their change in policy. And now that the policy has changed it is impossible to obtain gift card. Sold out in a minute. Every week. Where is their proof they are giving out even one gift card a week? They can claim they are giving them out all they want, but I dont believe it.I could have used Rakuten or other apps for all my online transactions and actually obtained the money I earned had drop been transparent with users that they intended to change their policy. Instead they changed their policy and backdated it, making it go into effect months before they announced it. This is FALSE ADVERTISING. Theyre just selling everyones information to the highest bidder and laughing all the way to the bank.I encourage everyone to not waste your time using them because you wont ever see a dime and use Rakuten or go through your credit card companys discounts for retailers to ensure you actually receive money back.

    Drop is an application that is used to accumulate points to trade in for rewards. About five months ago they shut down the rewards saying you have to wait three months from the date that you have claimed those three months went by and then something happened with the bank, where they were again not issuing rewards, but not telling their Users of the app. Then they started this weekly dropper once a week they would issue gift cards at a certain time. However, I noticed that every week they are completely sold out before it even begins. After going online and finding thousands and thousands of complaints with the same issues and people that have actually gotten to the point that they can claim a gift card better than asked for verification code, which stops the process of their redemption its clear that this company is scamming their users and are crooks getting money from partnerships by using information from cards that are linked. My cards would constantly become unlinked and I did not understand why and after reading other peoples complaints I see that is also a common issue and they have you re-link them and then get repaid for monitoring your shopping. A class action lawsuit must be taken against this application as I have sent dozens of emails and they completely ignore my issue or send some kind of automated response about the drop every Thursday which doesnt work. They have also turned off screenshots on their page so that members cannot post any pictures. Something must be done as people are spending their time so they can gain points to buy items for their families like I was doing to help get items from Amazon that we needed for my baby. Now I have hundreds of dollars in points that are just sitting there and will probably never be able to be redeemed.

    This is my 4th BBB complaint in 4 months. Seems everytime I file a complaint on here I get SOME traction from Drop but my issues to this day has/have NOT been resolved. Not even a little. Drop owes me SEVERAL OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of points that have not been credited back to me & this all began with their software update that occured in the spring 2023. ****** has been the rep that was assigned to my case but as of the last 30+ days has not responded to any status inquiry emails regarding my issues. Once BBB closed out my complaint, ****** stopped responding. We left off that 2 of my credit cards was shown connected on her end, but I wasn't seeing it on my end & therefore points weren't being posted into my account. She said she escalated issue to their tech **** but that was early August. It's October 10 and NO STATUS UPDATES. Since then, another linked credit card has stopped responding to the app as well for no reason at all & won't allow me to reconnect. I think this app, this website, this company is the BIGGEST SCAM ARTIST ever created & they are finding new ways daily to fraud consumers like me.

    I have used the Drop app for a few years. Points are marketed to be redeemable for gift cards. Everything was great until this year. Ordered a few $100 gift cards in April and never received. On June 26th got this in response via email: If you had redeemed a gift card during this time your gift card is currently in a pending state and will be sent out once we have resolved this roadblock. After this still did not receive. On July 12th, we get this email: This past ****** ***** financial position was directly affected by a banking collapse that made news globally. As a result, we were forced to delay gift card delivery to ensure we can continue to fulfill our promise to reward members in the long term. I am pleased to report that the issues stemming from this incident have now been resolved. The satisfaction of our members is and continues to be the top priority for myself, our employees and board of directors. Beginning July 17, all outstanding redeemed points will be refunded back to your account, and an additional bonus will be added as our way of thanking you for your understanding and patience. Our redemption functionality will return to normal and all gift cards will be delivered instantly. New redemption limits will be introduced to ensure that we do not experience this type of outage again in the future. So redemption is now only in $25 increments and cards are released once a week. However, you can't get to the app when they drop and they are all gone before you can get on. They blame technical issues but as of right now, there is no active way to redeem your points. I have over 700K and that is $700. That is not okay and they are defrauding their customers.

    The drop app is used to scan your credit card histories for points you can redeem. It was a great app up until they changed their business practice to only allow redemption of points to gift cards once a week, on Thursdays at 1pm since this past summer 2023.Since then I have not been able to make one redemption and I have ******* points which is approximately $125 in gift cards. The app crashes and makes it impossible to redeem points for gift cards at that time. Their servers do not have the capacity and this honestly feels more like a scam than a loyalty program. As users continue to accrue points I doubt drop will be able to fulfill all the open redemptions. The page errors out only at 1pm when attempting to redeem. They state its an improvement which makes absolutely no sense. It is frustrating and a waste of time. They need to cash out their customers.

    I have I've ****** pending points in the drop app which is a $50 value and they will no longer exchange them for gift cards which is the whole purpose of this app. They will say the gift cards are sold out and you have to wait a week for them to get more. Well at that set time the following week they change it to gift cards are sold out again instantly. They will not answer my questions or complaints as to why we can't use this app for its purpose anymore.

    Been trying for the past 4 months to redeem my points. With this new update of the program, its nearly impossible. I sign on at the correct time, app has been crashing nonstop. Going forward I stopped using them for shopping as there are other alternatives that dont have such issues. My complaint is that they switched redemption options suddenly with no option to cash out prior to the switch. Im left with close to ******* points which I shouldve been able to redeem prior to the change. Its ridiculous that even at the allotted time I cant get one gift card to redeem. At this point I believe its a scam. Very frustrating.

    Hi there,

    First, I want to assure you that we are not now, nor have we ever been a scam, a bait and switch company, or the like. We are a legitimate loyalty company offering gift cards in exchange for points which can be earned through shopping with specific brands. Thousands of our members have been able to redeem their points for gift cards since the new redemption process went into place and all of those gift cards have been successfully delivered to their rightful owners.

    I want to reiterate that we have indeed been sending out gift cards as promised. We have recently made improvements to the redemption process that allowed members to redeem their points while encountering fewer errors along the way. Along with this improvement, we also made the decision to reduce the amount of app pages that are due to load around the time of the gift card drop to ensure the load on our servers was not too much to handle. Both of these improvements worked and allowed members to redeem even faster than usual. As a result, our gift cards did indeed sell out and have continued to run out in under a minute.

    We are continuing to brainstorm ways of ensuring more members will get gift cards with each drop, so please keep your eyes peeled for more improvements to come. As always, any major changes that go into effect will be communicated to the entire user base.

    While your claiming your brainstorming, youve yet to include actual data  I would like to know how many gift cards are given out each week, how many members are trying to log in  

    if youre strapped for cash, then allow everyone to get on a waiting list to redeem and get in line. Let the consumers see wheat number they are  

    Ive stopped using the app for purchases as I currently have ******* points with no way to redeem  Ive tried week after week  its pathetic
