    The Drop app is an online platform that links to your debit card. You make purchases from retailers through the platform and earn points which can be redeemed for gift cards. I've used it successfully for years but they recently changed their procedures, which now make it impossible to redeem rewards. I have almost ******* points that qualify me for almost $250 in gift cards which I'm unable to redeem. I've contacted their customer support numerous times to no avail. Their new procedure is now a set date/time (Thursdays at noon) that you have to be on the app to redeem your points and they have reduced the number of rewarded gift cards to 1 card redemption per week at a maximum of $25. I have tried for four weeks to redeem my points, and despite being online at exactly the appointed time, the app hasn't allowed me to do so, citing that all "gift cards are sold out." So, the platform is still earning money off my purchases but isn't following through with rewards. Judging from the app reviews, others are experiencing the same thing. In essence, this has turned into a huge scam.

    I have been a long time Drop user, giving away personal shopping data in exchange for points which resulted in gift card redemptions. A recent change has made it impossible to redeem my points and is a problem for many others like myself. I want to redeem my points for providing my data. This is complete fraud now.

    *** tried to redeem my earned points for the last 4 months with no success. Ive submitted requests to Drop x2. Each response back is a canned response void of any customer concern or resolution/ much like the responses throughout the BBB customer complaints. The process to redeem is not working/ at 1:00 it will not even allow you to click and if it does it shows an error or it shows nothing. What is the fix for this? Im on time, follow the instructions but no way to redeem. I have earned over ****** points by linking my card, participating in Drop activities- would like to have Drop honor its practices.

    I have tried multiple times to redeem my ***** points at their site (valued at $25). Today I was logged in and waiting for 1pm (the only day and time they release gift cards) for over 10 minutes prior. Then at 1 it was still saying the same thing as always, wait until thursday the 7th at 1pm) so I closed and tried to reopen the app, with other people all trying to login obviously, so it wouldn't loggin for a couple -a few minutes and when it finally did it said that I supposedly needed to confirm my email and phone number and wasn't giving me the option to redeem at all. So I logged out and tried to log back in for another 3 minutes when it said their drop had ended. This is not the first time I have had a problem when trying to redeem. I am tired of these games, I want a $25 amazon card since that is what I have earned.

    I am having the same problems as the other complaints. Have been using this app for years. I redeemed a $50 gift card earlier this year and never received it. Then they gave me back my points and said they were changing the way they were giving gift card rewards and now require you redeem once a week with *** of $25 reward. Every time you try to redeem one, there is an error code and they are sold out within two minutes. This time they said cards were sold out in about 15 seconds. I have emailed several times with no resolution. They have $65 of my money.

    I signed up for this app and have been using it for years prior to 2023 I had had no issues with redeeming rewards. This past summer I redeemed over $100 in gift cards and waited over five months for delivery. I had reached out several times they adjusted their delivery time to be Over 12 times as long as previous but when even that adjusted wait time had been exceeded I reached out several times to no avail. We then received a letter that they were refunding the points and not sending the gift cards and will be starting a new process where every week they drop new gift cards. I have an alarm set and every week on Thursday at exactly 1 PM I log into the app and wait through the countdown until that time. After waiting the app freezes and allows you to do nothing but then says all gift cards are sold out. This is less than 30 seconds into the process and , I have waited several months of doing this to ensure this could not be anything on my end. I have reached out to customer service about this issue to no avail. This is a scam and I have $165 dollars they are not allowing to be processed.

    For a couple years leading up to the summer of 2023 I have been using Drop with no problem and enjoying the app being able to redeem gift cards very easily. Then in April 2023 I attempted to get an Amazon gift card and it never arrived. I kept getting emails that it would be coming in 60 days, I emailed and inquired about it and they sent some email out from the *** or some thing saying that they were making changes and I would get my points back. I now have ******* points that I am unable to redeem. with in a minute of the designated time each week saying that the gift cards would be available, they are all gone. This has happened multiple times and I have attempted to login at the moment that the gift cards are dropped. This is a scam website and they have your credit card information. Do not use this app.

    I have used this app since 2017, it was great until the last year and a half. Points used to be able to be redeemed, with no limit, immediately and gift cards were given immediately. Now, in 2023, there is a limit on how many points you can redeem, they can only be redeemed at 12PM (noon) Thursday, and there are only an undisclosed amount of gift cards that can be redeemed. The problem with this, if you visit the app one minute past noon, all gift cards are gone. There also used to be a bonus points wheel every Tuesday, gone. If you ask to have your points redeemed and your account closed they will refuse to distribute your points to you via check and gift card. They claim too many people have made this request and they can no longer do it. This is a scam through and through now. This app is not for its users anymore. Once a fun way to earn a few extra dollars on the side, now youre lucky if you even get to redeem your points. Please stop advertising gift cards as instant, they arent. Please disclose the amount of gift cards you have each week and to where. Please give people their money. We earned these rebates for ourselves, we were unaware that whoever oversees Drop would turn on us and keep what we made. Greed and deception will continue to make sure these businesses crumble. Even though I have extenuating circumstances, I have still been denied any form of redemption other than hoping I get a gift card each week.

We are a legitimate loyalty company offering gift cards in exchange for points which can be earned through shopping with specific brands. Thousands of our members have been able to redeem their points for gift cards since the new redemption process went into place and all of those gift cards have been successfully delivered to their rightful owners.

    I want to convey that the current redemption process is not the end of the line for how redeeming gift cards will evolve over time. We have heard a lot of feedback from our members following these redemption process changes and we are actively working on improving the experience for members. We recently released a change that successfully allowed members to redeem while encountering fewer or no errors along the way. This allowed members to redeem incredibly quickly and caused gift cards to sell out faster than expected.

    There is currently no time limit on redemptions, we simply have the gift card drop running until the number of gift cards allotted to that day's drop runs out. It just so happens that so many members login to redeem at the same time that it has caused our gift card drops to end after less than a minute week after week. We recognize that this process is restrictive not only because some members' devices may be slower than others, but also because of the time at which the gift card drops take place.

    I can assure you we are working to improve this process further. We are brainstorming and testing more changes we're hoping to release to members and we will of course communicate major changes to all members along the way.

    At the moment, there is no update we can offer as to when the process will change. But please know that as soon as the redemption process is updated or changed in any way, we will be in touch with members either through the app, by email, or both.

    The company mentioned nothing about any kind of resolution for me personally. I am no longer a member, as I was highly dissatisfied with the many self-fulfilling changes the company made. 

    The $58 I lost, is nothing compared to how much the company continues to gain from the changes they make.

    I have using this app for a few years now. I used them for shopping rewards and to take surveys and play games. I have $476 in rewards that I cant redeem. *** spent hours on surveys and didnt use other reputable cash back sites when shopping and now it seems like everything is lost. You can only redeem at $25 increments on a weekly basis. The problem is that you cant redeem at all because they allegedly sell out of gift card redemptions within seconds of launch. This is definitely a company in financial trouble and/or plainly scamming their customers by taking and selling their information with the promise of compensation but then not doing so.

    I have attempted four different gift card drop days (Thursdays at 1 pm ) to make gift card redemptions and have been unsuccessful. Demand is by far outstripping supply! In the meantime, you are obtaining new users and all users are doing surveys and like me are not getting paid in a timely manner or at all. DROP and its partners are using our information and time and not compensating us. It would take me ***** weeks of successful redemptions to cash out. I have yet to cash out once ever since this $25 max/ once a week policy came into effect. Its basically a raffle to cash out what you were promised. Your website never stated that you had to win a raffle to access your rewards. I cant prove that youre a scam yet, but youre definitely in debt to thousands of customers! Its already on social media. Your business practices are unfair and probably illegal.

    Winter redeem points for gift cards at 12:00pm but logging into the app and waiting in line and they are sold out at 12:01pm. I took a screen recording of the whole process and believe it to be a scam to get people to give them their financial information of their bank account and credit cards so they can sell. My account has been verified as I been a user for over two years not once since they changed the process to get gift cards only on Thursdays at 12 noon have I not been able to redeem one.
