I stayed at this hote end of January/beginning fo February 2024. The hotel was okay for the price but I had a horrible experience here and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. While I was in ***, I had to make a one day trip to ******. I was coming back next day to this hotel so asked them if they could store my luggage overnight. They said no but referred me to a luggage storage company that they told me they "highly recommend" and "********* the time with great success". Well, the company turned out to be a scam, they tried to charge me 5 times more than was quoted, and refuse to return my luggage. They kept jacking up the price until it was almost $500 for one day! The police are now involved and pursuing criminal charges. The reason I partly blame the hotel is because they referred this company and urged me to use them. The police beleive there is the possibility that one or more employees at the hotel are engaged in a criminal enterprise with the luggage company. There was over ***** worth of belongings in my luggage, including a work computer.I have called the hotel several times to discuss this matter and they have so far ignored my calls. I went through their email complaint department and received a response that this hotel is operated by a third party and I had to contact them. But they would never tell me who the 3rd party was.I found out after I got home that the company they referrred me to with such glowing praise uses a false address on their business card, and does not have a license to do business in ********. So either its true that they are working with a hotel employee, or this hotel is negligent in not doing even cursury investigation into a company they highly recommend. Because the internet is FULL of bad reviews for this company from hotel guests who have had the same experience I've had.
