    Not quite sure if they are totally legit or not in their practices, but definitely shady in how they operate for new accounts. I opened an account online, and started a transfer of $50k into it. A couple of hours later, I get an email saying that I am locked out of my account until I prove my identity. Eh?? You would think that entering in all my info, and through the transfer process where I linked my bank account to my ********************** account (which they also say during the process is to validate your identity) that it should be sufficient. Even if that wasn't sufficient, they should have had the identity verification process mentioned during the account creation process...."Hey, thank you for opening an account, part of the account creation process is going to be you going through an additional identity verification process." but not with them apparently. They let you open the account, fund it, then lock you out of your account until you prove who you are. Shady and a big red flag for me having many different online accounts with banks and other financial institutions and never going through this process with any others. I can only raise your awareness. This type of behavior isn't worth the extra 0.2% in interest.

    Raisin provides access to the best CD interest rates. They are online only, so you need a bank for a checking account, etc.

    I have no idea why there are so many positive reviews here. I have funds in 7 online high yield savings accounts. Normally when I want to transfer money from one bank to another it is a fairly simple process....link the banks and transfer. This never takes longer than a day to get done.I deposited approximately $240k into *********************, having absolutely no idea they were associated with Raisin. There was nothing on their website indicating an "alliance" or whatever with Raisin. The $240k that I transferred was from another online bank account, which I closed with that transfer.The first issue came about when I found out you could only have 1 linked bank account....and the one I linked was the one I closed. So I had to wait at least 60 days? before I could link a different ************, I decided last week that since the **************** (Raisin) interest rates were dropping too quickly, I was going to move my funds into a CD at a different bank. Evidently to do this with Raisin (which by the way has no routing number) you first have to transfer the funds into a Raisin "cash account". That took 4 business days. Then I had to submit a form requesting the removal of the previously linked account to link my ********************** account to another bank. Per the person fairly rude person I spoke to on the phone, this could take up to another 4-5 days because there is a weekend coming up.If everything goes as promised, I will only be out between $320-$400 in interest.Nice scam if you ask me.
