Instead of receiving a refund they issued a $309 promo code. I used $85 for another event and the balance just went ****.No help from customer support and they say I have to wait 4 months and then bring it back up after the next event is overBusiness Response

Hi ********,
It looks like you returned this ticket with SeatGeek Swaps, which is why you received a promo code.
When purchasing a ticket via SeatGeek, if it is SWAPS Eligible, the page will read Returnable until (date and time that is 72 hours prior to event.) If you click on the question mark pertaining to this, it will read: Return your tickets for no cost anytime up to 72 hours before your event. No questions asked. Return these tickets anytime up to 72 hours before the event starts and well give you a one time use promo code for the full amount of your order to use on a future event on SeatGeek. No added fee. No questions asked. After a SWAPS eligible ticket is purchased: As soon as the return option is clicked, it says Return your tickets for credit to use on a future purchase.
In addition, you were advised that we would be able to replenish the remainder of your promo code after your event has passed, since your new order is also Swaps eligible, and you could potentially return your new tickets and get your full promo code back.
We consider this matter resolved. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at *****************************. We will be glad to assist.
Best Wishes,
CX at SeatGeek

SeatGeek never gave me the tickets for the professional soccer game that I bought. They instead likely gave them to a stranger. The issue came when either a computer glitch happened or one of their employees made a mistake, and they changed my email from the correct lowercase L to an i. Despite the fact that I made many attempts to get them to fix this mistake in time for the event, they refused to fix it giving me the run around, causing me to miss the event. They wouldnt believe that ********************* isnt my email, has never been and belongs to a stranger. Because it belongs to a stranger already, I couldnt even create that email for two seconds to get the tickets. So just to clarify they refused to give me the tickets I bought because of the email mixup, causing me to miss the event, despite my attempts to contact customer service. We lost the full $82.88 we paid because of this. My email is ********************* not their *********************. I have proof that my discover card was charged for the tickets I bought, but they gave them likely to that stranger not me, despite my proof of purchase. I tried to dispute this with discover, but they likely lied to discover because discover took their side. I have screenshots of my conversations with customer service and the proof of purchase.Business Response

On March 3, 2023 AT 11:21am I purchased two tickets for the May 24th Foo Fighters concert in *******, **. Order # *********** Section 3E Row 20 Seats 13 & 14 I paid $181. per ticket plus $66.95 in fees per ticket for a total of $495.90 They transferred the tickets to my Apple Wallet. What I didn't know was the fact that this concert is not allowing ticket transfers. SeatGeek, however, was very well aware of this and sold me fraudulent tickets. I happened to hear that the tickets for this concert were non-transferrable on April 3, 2023 at which time I immediately contacted their customer service department via the chat feature (which is the only way to contact them since the phone # I was given, ************ does not work) and chatted with *******. After telling her what was going on, she told me that she would be checking with internal support. When I asked when I would hear back from her she assured me it would be by the end of the day. I did not hear back.I contacted them again the next day April 4, 2023 and this time chatted with ****. He told me that that we were still waiting to hear from internal support. I don't know how long one needs to wait when selling the tickets the way that they did was absolutely fraudulent. I spoke with a representative from ******************* and they also said that it was known to all resellers and reselling agencies that these tickets were not to be resold, so they knowingly sold tickets that were not valid. I want a full refund of my money, which still doesn't make up for disappointment and aggravation of having to go through all of this.Business Response

I purchased two tickets from SeatGeek on April 2nd, for a June 11th ******** game, for $560. I purchased these tickets for a silent auction, as a donation to a non-profit organization that will be running the auction in May. As such, I needed tickets that were able to be downloaded in PDF form to be sent and/or printed. The reason I used SeatGeek was because the specific tickets were listed as downloadable to PDFs. After paying $560 and receiving my email and electronic version of the tickets, the tickets ended up being mobile tickets only, with no option to download to PDF. I contacted SeatGeek and was told that they do not control what a seller posts about tickets, and that the tickets I purchased can not be downloaded to PDF. When I asked why they would allow false advertising on their website, they informed me they do not verify what is posted about tickets and they will not do anything to either refund my purchase or work to find a way to download/convert the tickets to PDF. Zero effort to back up what was posted on their site. The site did say that all sales are final, which I completely understand and have no problem with, assuming what was posted about the tickets was accurate, which it obviously was not. Horrible experience and now I am out $560.Business Response

Hi
Earlier in the year SeatGeek announced a partnership with the *** as their official ticketing platform for fan to fan sales and after this years Spring Training SeatGeek's system was integrated with the *** and the *** Ballpark app. As a result PDF fulfillment is no longer necessary as tickets are instantly fulfilled and accessible from the user's/purchaser's ******************** account directly.
In regards to Abbe's initial request to have their tickets from order *********** presented in a PDF format, as the tickets were issued to them through this *** integration, simply put there are no PDF files to provide. It is possible that the initial listing was posted prior to this *** partnership where PDF fulfillment was possible and it may have been notated in the original listing details; however as the order was placed after the partnership and integration was completed the tickets were provided through our system. As the tickets provided **************** to the event and the order was fulfilled as described this order would fall under our all sales final policy. Additionally the tickets provided can still be transferred to any intended recipient through our Send feature from the user's ******************** tickets page, provided that the recipient has a SeatGeek account currently or creates an account.

On 12/20/2022 I purchased from Seat Geek 2 tickets to ****** ************ game scheduled for 03/26/2023 for $553.62. Order #*********** I have emails from seat Geek assuring me that my tickets would be available electronically 48 hours before the event. However, those tickets never came. I spent most of the day of the event engaged in a chat with a Seat Geek associate named **** trying to rectify the problem unsuccessfully. I spent $857.62 for air fare and traveled with my grandson only to see the outside of the stadium. Then return to our lodging so we could watch the game on television.Seat geek offered us a credit voucher as a resolution. Not acceptable! My resolution is we recieve a full refund for the tickets and reimbersment our air fare. total loss for us is $1411.24.That would be a baseline resolution. Seat geek did not deliver the service they promised.Business Response

Hi
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to review and acknowledge your concerns as our fans experiences are of utmost importance to us. Ive read through this matter and will address your questions and concerns as they relate to SeatGeeks policies. We feel itd be beneficial to provide an explanation of how the secondary ticketing marketplace operates as SeatGeek does not own or generate many tickets that are listed for resale. Rather, when one purchases tickets, they are buying from a third party. Because our customers are purchasing tickets that are owned and listed by individual resellers, our policies are in place to protect both the buyer and seller while still remaining fair to both parties.
When using SeatGeek, both buyers and sellers are agreeing to the Terms of Use. Which can be found here ************************************. In addition, as part of our Terms of Use, SeatGeek does offer our Buyers Guarantee, found here **********************************************
With regard to your complaint, upon review of your order *********** we were able to verify that your tickets were fulfilled on 12/20/2022 and our our support team did not receive a reach out until 3/26/2023 on the day of the event. Upon this reach out our team contacted the seller of your order who then provided evidence confirming your order's fulfillment on 12/20. In addition to this the seller of your order completed a retransfer of your tickets as requested which should have been received. Based on the evidence it seems that these tickets were not accepted in a timely manner which led to the acceptance issue. As a result a re-transfer was completed, which may have been impacted by a system/network error from the ticketing platform if they were not received.
As a resolution to not receiving your tickets you were offered a credit refund which was accepted on 5/11/2023 and issued on the same day, resulting in a promo code being added to your account that could've been used towards a future purchase. Due to a resolution being met and there being no further action required this matter has been considered resolved.
If you are in need of any future assistance or have any questions regarding your SeatGeek promo code please reach out to our team at *****************************.
Thank you

Hi there,
I see that this matter was already resolved with our customer service team. A refund was issued in promo code form which was agreed upon May 11 2023.
The seller provided proof of the transfer of the tickets. The tickets were valid and successfully sent by the seller. The seller fulfilled the tickets on 12/20/2022 at 10:31 AM EST. The event was held on 3/26/2023 at 5:00pm EDT. We did not have outreach for any issue accessing tickets until the day of the event on 3/26/2023 11:00 AM EDT.
A refund was issued and agreed upon as a courtesy in promo code form. This was issued outside of SeatGeeks policy.
We consider this matter resolved. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at ****************************** We will be glad to assist.

I purchased ************************* tickets years ago and this event has been postponed many times due to COVID-19. They issued a refund but they automatically did it to the bank account I used to purchase the tickets which has been closed since as I switched bank accounts. I tried contacting ***** Fargo and they said they cant reroute where it goes like seat geek said. I just want MY refund to my current bank account and Im getting the run around for it. Absolute ridiculous they wont refund my money to my current bank account and now the so called refund is just floating in the air apparently since ***** Fargo cant do anything since its closed. With regard to your complaint, after escalating your concern with our payments team they confirmed the following information:
"This user filed a dispute on the order on June of 2021 and the dispute was closed on Aug 16 2021 in the customers favor, so any funds owed to her would have been provided by her bank...When we lose a dispute (sometimes called a chargeback), the bank gets the money back that was spent here, and should then give it back to their customer"
Although you may have been issued an additional email regarding your refund options after this event was officially canceled, this was a issued by our automated system by mistake. Ultimately the latest refund email you received was not meant to be issued as your order was previously refunded through your dispute.
If you believe that you have not received the funds from your 2021 dispute you will need to continue to work with your previous bank that you filed your dispute under. As SeatGeek lost this dispute there is no further assistance we can provide in reference to order ***********.
As no further action is required this matter has been considered resolved. If you require any future assistance please reach back out to our team at *****************************.

date of transaction: 3/13/23 transaction total: $459.06 I purchased two tickets to the *************************/************************* concert at ************* in *************. two days before the show i got an email saying the seller couldn't fulfill the order and offered me tickets in a different section. now the seatgeek buyer guarantee which can be found ********************************************** it says they will offer comparable OR BETTER seats if something goes wrong. my tickets were in the sandbar LEFT (pit) right next to the stage. they are offering me section 106 in one of the high up rows. nowhere near comparable. there ARE currently tickets available in the sandbar left section but they are now higher priced than they were three weeks ago and seat geek is refusing to honor the buyer guarantee. they are offering a refund but considering its 48 hours before and we already have travel accommodations booked and paid for as well as other members of our party holding their own tickets in that section separately, this resolution does not resolve anything and i will be losing a lot of money. i purchased tickets through seatgeek because of your buyer guarantee and now its not being honored. Ticket prices in that section have increased 217% since i bought them 3 weeks ago. the only option here i will accept is a full refund AND reimbursement for all of our travel accommodations and the tickets of the other people in our party, or two tickets in the sandbar left section where seatgeek would absorb the $1000 cost difference because thats what your buyer guarantee says you will do.Business Response
