      This company bought out Suddenlink internet a while back, when we had Suddenlink the internet was great, when optimum took over it went downhill. So we just dealt with it. So we decided to go with another company. And we called to cancel. One hour later after talking to four or five different people. Not listening to what we're saying when we say we want to cancel, and we do not want to answer any other questions just cancel the service. The service is horrible. The worst internet I've ever seen. And we want to cancel the service. But they kept us on the phone for an hour giving us a run around. I will just say this I will never deal with optimum internet again is a horrible company and the service *****

      A total waste of time. I tried on July 28th to start service on September 3rd. I told them multiple times September 3rd. What happened they sent out the equipment that day. Im in **************. The service was for a house Im moving to in September. Maybe if they would hire English Speaking people for there call centers. It might solve some of the miscommunication. Even after I had someone pick up the box and return it VIA ***** they still are trying to charge me. I have wasted so much of my time calling this poor company over a mistake on there end. No way on Gods green earth would I ever deal with this company again unless it goes to court.

      Beware of the ************ scam from Optimum - it is sold as a great service and they relentlessly try to get you to bring your mobile plans. In my experience the ************ is outsourced to third part vendors who relentlessly bill you under the pretense of missed appointments. The service under FIOS that I have is horrible. The internet service has continuous interruptions through out the day and so I get continuous interruptions in my internet, tv and phone services several times a day. After over 20 visits by the third party service vendors they have not fixed the problem. As a matter of fact I find the techs to be very inexperienced newbies who does not spend more than ***** mins during the visit. When they switched me to **** they promised me credits towards my internet and tv service to keep my bill stable for 3 years. After 5 months they jacked up the price by over $90 a month and said that the credits were billing error. And on top of that no credits for the poor and interrupted service. They billed me erroneously several times and it took me several attempts and numerous hours to get them to fix the errors. Then they will only credit for the payments they took ( under auto pay) in the next billing cycle - not even give credit towards the current bill. A Very unscruplous practice!! After being with the same service provider for over 20 years, from the time they were cablevision, it is time to get away from these new guys- Altice USA, under which ****** operates. In my view my experience tells me this is near fraud territory!!Very poor customer service, non attentive and unqualified tech support, mostly sweet talking overseas support service and fraudulent billing practices. I feel cheated and defrauded!!

      When we first signed up with Optimum we were promised our first bill would be $140.00, first month,$180.00 second month, and ****** for the next 28 months.For several months, I have experienced what I believe to be bait-and-switch tactics and harassment regarding my account. I have been charged incorrect amounts, services interrupted and lies, my attempts to resolve these issues with customer service have been unsuccessful. On August 4, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, I spoke with an Optimum representative named ****** to complain about harassment and ongoing billing issues. During this conversation, I was offered a new TV package with a promotional price. The representative initially quoted a price of $168/month plus tax, but the final documentation or offer was listed at $178/month plus tax. He also stated if he bundled my mobile phone, my bill would be $148.00 a month. I have the phone conversation recorded ****** also said he would have $236.00 credited/waved for switching to fiber. This discrepancy is a clear example of the deceptive practices I have experiencedWe are never able to speak with one person. The call always has to be escalated. One time my call escalated to the Supervisor s manager I was told, and than was told we do not have supervisors mam.Despite my consistent efforts, including speaking to multiple representatives, these problems persist. I also have a handwritten note from a representative, "Sherraya," on June 20, 2025, at 2:10 PM, regarding my cable service, and another note to "email @***** for credits," indicating the complexity and confusion created by Optimum's billing and communication.

      I had Optimum the last 12 years. Service is in and out, bill is higher than friends with the same plan. When I became a remote worker I then saw how often it glitches. Automatic 30 minute process to get anything done. Techs are very unmotivated and the call center struggles to understand english. My local electric provider now had fiber optics so I switched. Called Optimum on the 1st and they said that particular department I needed was closed. Call the next day and they said I was a day to late. After 45 minutes of them trying all sales tactics to keep my business they said my cancel is pending. It won't cancel for 30 days on the last day of cycle. Will not prorate it. Mind ypu they say no contract when advertising. So they make me pay for 30 days of service at $112. This is a testament to the kind of integrity this company has even when you have stayed with them 12 years (They were the only option) spending an estimated $14,000 . Do not recommend.

      Today I called to cancel my Optimum cable and Internet. They did not take NO for an answer. I was badgered to stay with them offering many deals even though I had already turned my equipment into their local office. After 30 minutes I asked if they understood the word NO. I finally chewed off my own foot. I get to pay through August 15 even though I HAVE NO SERVICE after July 31. I will NEVER use Optimum again. Ugh.

      We have been customers for years. Lately service would go off 2 or 3 times a day. Our bill kept going up. We were paying over 200 for just internet and local news channels. So we decided to make the switch to fiber. However trying to cancel service has been a pain. They make you listen to someone trying to sale you in staying for over an hr. Then never send a confirmation that it has been canceled. So now they are trying to bill for the next month even though we canceled before next billing cycle. I will never go back.

      I originally belonged to Suddenlink because they had a deal that stated it was $75 for as long as you stayed with them. I was very happy with them. Then I find out that Optimum bought them out and everything went to c*** I pay over $100 for 1gig internet and only receive 500-600mbps, tops. *** that is if it is actually working to begin with. I went an entire month watching DVDs and unable to even use my phone due to no WiFi. They are the only provider in my area. I have been told by other providers that they have bought a monopoly on my. They are the worst. I cannot stand this company. It is such a ******* these trying times, where us working class are struggling just to get by, this worthless company is still raising rates on a service that they struggle to ********** NOT USE OPTIMUM!!! THEY ARE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!

      I have been a customer of ********************** (now ********************* for years. I have had nothing but problems with Optimum. They continue to say that I owe money when I have a confirmation number and transaction number to verify the payment. On three occasions, the person assisting me refused to take either number. My payment is due on August 4, and as of 7/28/2025, my cable was turned off. My bill from last month was paid. I am truly tired of this runaround with them. I just want my bill to be credited appropriately.

      Optimum Mobile We attempted to cancel our land line but they instead transferred the line to a mobile phone which they send to us for free. We were told would be $5 a month for an unlimited time. When we received the phone it was not compatible with our phones and we honestly did not want the line(or have a need for it). It sat on our counter for a few weeks as we just did not know what to do with it. We went to return the phone to find out they ACTIVATED the phone with out our consent. Then they would not allow us to Return the phone without a $50 restocking fee (which we paid) the phone was not even opened. So we pay the fee and guess what? They are still charging us for the line!! We have tried to cancel multiple times and they just Transfer us around to different ************** is so unprofessional that they continue to charge when we do not even have a device or line!
