I have been contacted by this company over the past 6 months. I have tried to be very professional and understand what the problem is and and take action. With this day and age sounds like a scam. I’m sure they must understand that they way they are conducting business doees not help the cause. I have provided my new home address several time in which all I have asked for was a letterhead and information to the amount I owe, so that I can pay what with a cashier check. I do not feel comfortable clicking on links or providing financial information over the phone. Also I have check my credit report and nothing shows regarding an amount owed from 2019. Again, no formal message that the is related to “collecting a debt”. Reading through the reviews it seems very common. Again All I have asked is for a letterhead from the business on the amount I owe and it will be submitted back to them.

Hello,This consumer received Validation of Debt on 1/19/2024, 3/2/2024, and 3/25/2024. On 1/18/2024 he requested one by email, which was also sent, and viewed by him, as shown by his IP address.This consumer has also been provided the portal link to his online account where he can securely make his payments.Randy has received multiple settlement offers and payment plans, all in which, were ignored. On those letters, our website, and his emails, our mailing address is provided for payment and correspondence. Their response is invalid, as they say in their email correspondence there is return address which is not true (attachment provided) As I said before I will not consent to logging in or paying through a website that is supposedly secure. Nor will I consent to give my financial data over the phone. As I have said please send the bill with the United States postal service to the address that has been provided multiple times with a return address. I have no problem settling the debt the attachment mentions if it is indeed legit. I also have tried to call the company 3 times this week and always receiving the secure inbox of Shelly. A legit company in this day and age would understand that their tactics and lack of transparency would lead a consumer to believe that this is a scam. As you can tell by this company’s BBB rating I’m not the only one with this concern.

I have received several garbled messages that can’t even be understood from a lady named Ashley . Couldn’t distinguish the company but finally got NRG . This message claims I owe something on a transaction . So , I try to call them back and it’s a guy and he tells me I owe a 39$ check and a fee for that check not clearing and this happened over a year ago . He wants my BANK INFORMATION over the phone to pay for this !! I told him I had been a victim of identity theft and had my bank account breached and I was not comfortable giving bank info to stranger over the phone . He hung up in my face and said “well I’m taking this as your official statement that you refuse to settle this matter and we will have an attorney sue you “!!!!!!! Over 39$? Them they called my husband at work and my brother after they had already spoken with me just to harass me . If they can mail be proper information regarding what they are claiming, then I’ll go from there . But , it is illegal to harass my family members which I would have never put down on a check anyway !! This is illegal and my rights are being violated. I want this scam to stop ! This company has been reaching out to me since April, I’ve told them several times that I am no longer on contact with my father who they are looking for and to stop contacting me but they are still calling me, I have screenshots from all of the time they have left me voicemails. I don’t know how they got my number because even my father doesn’t have this number. I am currently speaking with a lawyer about seeking harassment charges. I spoke to Michelle who has been the one calling me and she was very rude as I tried to explain to her that I’ve been asking for my number to be removed since April and she hung up on me.Business Response

I have received multiple calls from this business saying it’s an urgent matter and that I could go to court. They also state that they have sent me letters regarding this and I have not received any letters at all. I have been scammed multiple times in the past using the same voicemail that they leave and I’m not going to be scammed again. Please stop calling me. Contacted multiple times a day with threatening voicemails, with what can be determined as threats of payment wasn’t made, company has continuously contacted family members I no longer have contact with and this is a violation of my privacy to concern other individuals at different numbers that are in no way connected to myself. If a relative was contacted it is more than likely because they were listed on your loan application as a reference contact, or it may have been added through a skip tracing process to attempt to make contact with you, which is normal course of business in any debt recovery, but the only message left is a phone number. However, you can contact our office to have your contact information updated to get alternate contacts removed. A dunning notice for this account was sent to your home address on 2/12/2024. There have also been multiple emails sent, and viewed. Last on being 3/22/2024. So, you are aware of this debt and the reason for our call. If you would like the alternate contacts removed please reach out to have that done.

This company has called and continued to harass family members. Their information was not provided so how they contacted them I am not even sure. I lost my oldest son 6 months ago and haven't had the heart to turn off his phone but they've even called and left messages on his phone. My husband was contacted as well and told them to quit calling as he's often in meetings throughout day and whoever he spoke with was extremely rude. They're even harassing my 80 year old parents. I'm working with an attorney on clearing some of these things up as my son's unexpected death played a huge impact on my finances. They just keep calling, even to my work. They can't tell them to stop because they're using auto dialers. This is ridiculous.Business Response

This business contacted me about a year and a half ago leaving garbled messages to call Monica. Other than the phone number, I did not understand what company she was calling from until her message today via another worker named Diane. I tried to contact Monica at the number provided but received voicemail. I did receive a text from her initially and it indicated I should click a link. I thought this was a scam. Since I’ve been a victim of identity theft twice, I will not click on any link sent to me. I have no idea what this is about other than supposedly owing money on a returned check. Their reference #******** was provided to me today. Just to be clear, I have never received any notice of a returned check via written correspondence by email or to my home address whether it be by NARG or the original creditor or my bank. NARG has threatened legal action to collect this “debt”. I want this to be resolved without threats. By the way, I’ve rarely used checks to pay for anything in many years so I question the statute of limitation on this matter. I request a copy of the check and the original creditor so I can request information from the original creditor and the bank in question. I’m not certain this is a valid issue.Business Response

This company has been contacting my ex-husband regarding setting up payments. When I contacted them, Amanda, threatened me by saying that I must set up payments, otherwise she would continue to contact other people. When told that I could not make a payment prior to 5/1, she said that it would be outsourced for processing, I was responsible for the balance in full, and I’ve forfeited anything I have already paid towards the balance. That is not what was said. While you are paying your account here, there is no interest or anything added to you balance. Your payments totaling $600.00 have all been credited to your account. Your remaining balance of $664.83 was outsourced due to non payment. That is the balance after the $50.00 monthly payments were made totaling $600.00. I have attached a validation notice. Page 3 shows your payment history and page 1 shows the current balance information. I am sure the next agency will reach out to work something out with you on the remaining balance, as we can no longer accept your payments due to default.

Their response does not negate the fact that their marketer threatened me and told me that anything I had previously submitted would be forfeited. Additionally, they called incessantly and, also, contacted my ex-husband. I previously attached the text message that I received from their marketer stating that I could forfeit everything I've paid towards this.
