I am a psychologist and have been trying to CANCEL my subscription to Find A Top Doc. It is supposed to be a referral source for patients and I have never received any referrals and do not need the service. However, despite my efforts to call, email, etc. both multiple times, I NEVER hear back or anyone answers. They continue to collect $93 a month from me and there seems to be no way of me CANCELING this "membership." This "business" seems to be a complete scam for health care providers. I have been a licensed psychologist since 2011 and have never dealt with anything like this.Business Response

Hello I am a physician and was sought out by Find a Top Doc regarding the opportunity to be a top doc in psychiatry think that the entire process was misleading and not well explained to me from the start.First they made it sound as if it was a form of recognition ie I get a plaque and a news release I got the plaque but the news release was never published. They would call and tell me that they were doing x which I thought was part of the package but never informed of the amount In the mean time they charged me 92 dollars for ongoing appearance on their list of docs which made sense. Looking back at the charges they were a lot and spaced intermittently and idfficult to keep track ** but in the end added up to a lot.I called the business they told me that ****** by rep must have told me about the amount of each charge and honestly I do not remember him doing so. the woman told me she would not charge me for something I never said okay to and forgave 6 months of the 92 dollar but I have to sign a paper that states that it is all resolved and I am satisfied.So unsure if I should sign the paper or complain I figured that I would complain. On 1/04/2023, Find A Top Doc billed me $189.00 on my Mileage ********* for a plaque which they sent me in the mail. I did NOT order any plaque or any service from this company. I contacted my **** to dispute the charge and wrote three letters, February 13, 27 , and March 17, to Find a Top Doc telling them that their charge was not authorized and requesting them to contact me by MAIL to reverse this illegal charge.Unfortunately, they have chosen to only make harassing phone calls, telling me I have to call them to 'verify'my demand, but this only results in hearing aggressive and hostile altercations, during which they insist I pay for this unwanted product.Find a Top Doc is a scam. I ordered a plaque one year earlier in 2022 stupidly thinking it was being issued by a legitimate medical association. I received a cheap plaque and found it had no value and no association with a medical association. I am a retired, 78 year old physician, and am upset I fell for this scam without checking with Better Business Bureau. In 2022 I requested a refund, but the **** charge had already gone through so there was little I could do. Now, however, I find that since they retained records of my **** number, they placed a completely unauthorized charge of $189.00 on 1/14/23 for a plaque I never ordered and did not want.I have requested by mail three times that Find a Top Doc remove this charge from my ****, but they will not agree to this. On February 10, 2023, this company charged $189 to my credit card for a plaque (I am a physician) that I never ordered. It is unclear how they had my credit card on file, or how they were able to access it. I tried to call to resolve the issue, but the phone number that was provided on the credit card **** produced a recording that repeatedly told me to hold for an agent, then hung up on me after 2-3 minutes. I then searched their number online (the same one that is presented here in the BBB company profile), which had a strange recording that said I should push a number to find out about being eligible for some "benefit" (I did not push the number), and then also hung up on me. I tried to email through their website for resolution, but after reading the complaints listed here on the BBB, I have little faith that this was some type of oversight on their part. This seems to be a repeated offense/business plan for this organization.Business Response

This company created a profile for me without my consent, which does not list my business address or business number, but has leaked my PERSONAL cell phone number and HOME address. This is a safety hazard and I want it removed immediately (the profile with my name, address, and phone number- I want it taken down completely). The company in question, Find a top *******, has published incorrect information about my practice that includes a wrong location and incorrect hours. They called me and said if I want to change it I need to subscribe by paying them and then the information can be fixed. It seems very unfair that they have published bad information and I have to pay to correct it.Business Response

I am a clinical psychologist, and Find a Top Doc **** posted a profile with my name, business address, "working hours", and personal cell phone number with the phrase "New patients:" in front of it, implying that new patients should call my personal cell phone number. This is dangerous and unethical, as I would never give patients my personal cell phone number. I am not affiliated with this business, never provided them with any of this information, and I never consented to having a profile on their website.
