I was contacted by "Today's Nurse" and was told they would help promote my nursing educational products, feature me in their magazine, and create an online profile for me on their website. My card was charged but I never received the correspondence they described, requesting me to edit my profile before they submitted it. Reddit has several nurses who had the same experience, all calling it a scam. I called the number listed and the answering machine states the number is for "Find a Top Doc." I received an email from ******* *. at Today's Nurse (aka ***************) that I was being recognized and featured in *********************** On 12/12/24, I spent 30 minutes on a phone interview with ******* *. answering questions about my career. I was talked into purchasing the Diamond package for the best exposure as America's Top Nurse for 2025 and would receive a black and silver plaque. The promised article was never written and the plaque was not worth the $1013.21 that I was charged. On 12/18 I received an email that my "draft was waiting to be completed" on my account profile. On 12/28 I emailed my resume and Today's Nurse asking about why nothing was written yet. The conversation with ******* indicated it would be written by their staff and I would review/edit if needed. I received an email from ****** *. on 12/29 that they would update my profile, and ****** *. acknowledged receiving that email on 12/31. I left a message at Today's Nurse on 1/5/25 inquiring about why there was still nothing written on my profile, requested to have the autopay removed, and to delete my personal address and phone number from the profile. ****** called back and said it would be updated within 24 hours. Received email on 1/8 from ***** *. (editor) stating I need to finish my Nurse Advisor page so I could submit articles. (Not what I signed up for.) On 1/15, still nothing. I spent an hour updating my own profile only to have it all disappear. I emailed ****** requesting to cancel my account and get a full refund. She called me to say the profile would be fixed in 24 hours. On 1/16, ****** called to say their system works best with Chrome and they'll fix the profile. Offered $200 refund but not the full amount. Still nothing on 1/18, so I contacted my credit card company to file a charge dispute and request new cards. It took 6 weeks, multiple phone calls and emails, cancellation of my credit card, and two visits to the police department to finally get a refund from them. Find A Top Doc and their affiliated companies need to be prevented from scamming healthcare providers. Shame on them!! Shut them all down!!

Dear BBB, I am writing regarding ************ and their scam of an award for a Top Doc. The company operates as a telemarketing operation that promises to market your specialty and practice through a widely distributed magazine. I thought that it would be an effective advertising platform for my practice. They sent me a plaque that is cheap and unimpressive in appearance. They are pushy with you with a fast talking salesperson who is constantly complimenting you and telling you have much you deserve this "award". They charged me $1365.11 on May *******. All I have is an ugly plaque and had been told that this fee would also include my profile in their publication. I have not been able to reach anyone to cancel this charge. I cant find myself on their website. I saw another review that said it was a subscription and I have no desire or plans to pay that. Can you help me or at least get them shut down?Business Response

I was offer a subscription over the phone, after declining several times I did agree for a simplify cheaper subscription a couple of weeks a go. Today (12-21-24) I receive a second call to what I undesrtand was a review of information but after the call I was charge a second fee of $408.83. It is very hard to communicate with this company, they always call from private numbers, all email information phone numbers lead to call centers that are not from the company. I want to request a full refund, the way they make business is not clear and contacting them is very difficult.Business Response

On October 4th I was contacted by this company offering a Plaque and a one page magazine feature on myself and my medical practice to be featured in The Best In FLorida Magazine and they were supposed to send me a proof so I could approve this. I got a plaque but I never received the proof to approve then I got a call today that they wanted to verify my email address and I said is this for the proof for the magazine and they said yes. I then got another charge from them at 1900$ on top of the 1700$ today so I called the number back that they called me on and there was no answer so I called the listed number and they proceeded to tell me that I agreed to pay 1900$ today for a press release. Obviously this was absurd, what kind of press release, where is it featured and what would it be about? When I told her to cancel this, she repeatedly said that I agreed to this in the earlier phone call. She has not refunded the money and then I looked up the organization on line and I am not profiled at all in the Florida topdoc website and there are pictures of the magazine best in ******* but Im not listed anywhere in them and you can only see pics, its not a hard copy magazine that was promised to feature me. I am no where in this magazine and after te discussion today with them I looked them up online and found that they are a scam with the doctors a target. So now they have stolen 3600$ of my money and I have received a 10 $ plaque. I think someone needs to investigate these people and put them out of business.Business Response

I have contacted this site by mail and email asking them to remove their fraudulent listing that lists me as a doctor. They have listed my home address and phone number. I am not, nor have I ever been in the *************. I was contacted by a violent ex-boyfriend who went online and found this information and contacted me. Any other site that listed my information took it down at my request. This site will not. I used to have an independent provider license, and did not know it would be listed online so I canceled it and had my listing removed to protect myself. I don't understand how they can lie about someone's occupation and get away with it. Will you please contact them and have them take the listing down. ********** has listed the same information. Hello, This is my third time filing a complaint to this business. I contacted twice before about removal of my information from their website. Both times they complied but the information only temporarily was removed from their website. I am absolutely displeased with their practices and how they have continuously failed to remove my information after multiple requests to do so. I understand technical errors may occur, but his is absolutely unprofessional. Please remove my information from your website. The information is incorrect and poses a risk to me as a professional as it incorrectly states my scope of practice, location of business, and qualifications. This places me at serious risk due to the misinformation on this website. I have attached a recent screenshot to show proof that the profile is still up.
