I’ve received missed calls from this number
(###-###-####) and when I called back and asked what it was about neither representative would tell me anything. They kept asking for my name and other personal information. I didn’t want to share my information without knowing what the call was pertaining to, but persisted and became rude and unprofessional. I will never disclose any sensitive information over the phone, without knowing who I’m speaking to. They refused to even tell me the nature of their business and why they called, so I ended the conversation. I found this to be very suspicious.Business Response

I originally had a fraud claim open up with a website, and I had explained that these purchases were not made on my device. An unauthorized user had logged in using my password and racked up purchases. When I contacted said website, they told me to contact my bank because they had no way to reverse said transactions. After sorting this out with the bank, I was contacted about a month later with a letter from First Source LLC, a debt collector collecting on behalf of ******* Payment Solutions LLC. I wrote a letter to *******, explaining that this was a fraud claim, and I have all the email correspondences to back this up. A couple of weeks later, they sent me a form in which I had to provide a police report or a notarized letter explaining my situation, or they would close the fraud case and continue with collecting this debt. I've tried multiple phone numbers, but they've been VERY difficult to contact and offer no live chat or email. I recently just got off the phone with First Source, and they hung up before they could give me a resolution.Business Response

We
are in receipt of the complaint referenced above relating to this consumer. Per
our standard complaint process, a thorough investigation of the allegations was
performed. ******* Payment Solutions,
LLC placed a ** ********** Inc. check for Mr. ** with
our office for collections on May 28, 2025. Firstsource
Advantage, LLC records indicate on June 13, 2025, Firstsource Advantage, LLC
received correspondence from Mr. ** claiming there was a fraudulent charge made

time, the representative provided Mr. ** with his claim number and then
transferred him to ******* Payment Solutions, LLC’s fraud department. While
connected to the ******* fraud department, Mr. ** was frustrated with the
information ******* was requesting and then told the representative he’d rather
just pay instead. The ******* representative
asked if he could hold for a minute and records show the call was disconnected. Firstsource

representative in our office.Upon
receipt of this complaint, Firstsource Advantage, LLC removed the numbers from
the account. The fraud claim is still being investigated by ******* Payment
Solutions, LLC.The
information ******* Payment Solutions, LLC requested from Mr. ** is required to
perform a thorough fraud investigation.

I had a billing issue with a ******* account due to an expired credit card. I paid the $90.17 fee to ******* directly but then I started getting calls from FirstSource saying that they bought the debt. It was outstanding for less than a week when I made the payment to *******, who has also confirmed I have paid and there was nothing sent to collections. I have told them repeatedly over the phone and via email that this isn't a valid collections case.Business Response

This company is fraudulently trying to collect $474.25 from me for what they say I owe ****** security systems.
I closed my account with ****** when we sold our home and didn’t take our security system with us over a year ago. We paid off ALL our fees and loan and closed our account.
Then ****** started billing us afterwards and wouldn’t stop no matter how many times I wrote or called. They’d pass me from department to department and refused to close my account or stop billing me.
I called my bank and showed them my emails to ****** and they blocked ******.
I can only attribute this business practice as intentionally predatory and malicious.
If this harassment continues my next step is to engage an attorney and sue both this company and ****** for damages.Business Response

they are charging me without showing any banking/debit info
I find this a highly questionable practice especially considering the company in question originally has an F rating with the BBB, terrible reviews, and way overcharged.
They are trying to collect a debt from a severely overcharging company and refuse to show my financial data they have despite taking it 1. and 2. there being an active dispute of the debt after I gave them my debit card info (again found nowhere on their site despite showing a bill schedule).
HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE.Business Response

I received a phone call addressing me by my previous last name for a "business matter" where the agent insisted I must provide date of birth for validation of identity. The last name hasn't been a legal name of mine for over 20 years. Researching the company, I see the attempt to collect debts past the state statute of limitations, where I have none at all on my credit report at this time. Nothing exempt from the statute let alone any outstanding. They could be attempting to pull a difference in settled debt from over 20 years ago as the only assumption, however as nothing is on my report, I have no outstanding debt to collect. I believe the company is scamming to obtain a transfer of funds for no reason. As they contacted me asking for personal identification data such as date of birth, and did not identify himself as a debt collector and state that this is an attempt collect one, this is a valid BBB report for a request to investigate.
Do not provide my contact data outside of phone number. They can attempt to use this to attempt to create false association of an account that does not exist. Phone number to reference in the communication is ###-###-####. First name Melissa. No ther information should be shared as it will open the door for repercussions.Business Response
