My employer was sent 2 solicitation letters, appearing as bills. They were paid by mistake, and when the error was realized, the company was immediately called at the number provided on the letter (************) with no answer. An email was also sent to the email address provided on the same letter ************************* to request contact for the purchases to be cancelled and refunded.
Neither phone call nor email has been answered, even with further attempts to reach the company by both contacts provided. The phone calls have never once been answered or returned, nor have the emails received a reply or any indication they were received.Business Response

I get these letters fairly frequently. It looks like a renewal for a domain name. It is actually a fee for listing a domain name on domainnetworks .com , which I have never done and why would anyone pay $289 for that?
They must make money from this scam but it really looks like a scam and should be illegal.
They need to stop. Some people are literally being scammed out of $289Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
While it is true that tge mailing contains these words, the formatting is deceptive and gives the impression that this is a service you are meant to renew. Why anybody would willingly pay hundreds of dollars to be listed on a website is beyond me. This is clearly meant to dupe people who are not paying attention.Thank you, however, for placing us on the do not contact list.
Regards,

Received a misleading invoice for domain listing renewal. It was not a renewal it was a solicitation for services. I paid $289 with my debit card. I attempted to call the company at ********** multiple times to cancel this service and no one ever answered the phone. I sent a message on their website under the contact us heading with no response. And I emailed a request for refund via email at ************************Business Response

I have attempted to refund this payment, it is saying transaction declined, have you reported it to your card company? If so, that is why I am unable to process the refund, if you have not received a refund, please let me know, send me an email to ***********************Customer Answer

I replied to the complaint to accept the respond that they attempted to refund the card but was unable to do so because it was declined. We cancelled the card out of caution for fraud. So, the card cannot be used to refund the $289. I replied that we would like the refund to be sent to us via check. However, I typed the incorrect zip code. Below is the correct address and zip code.

Please kindly update my response to reflect the correct zip code.
I look forward to having this issue resolved as soon as possible.

12 June 2023 I received an "Annual Website Domain Listings" in the amount of $289
This unsolicited marketing bill, is the 2nd received this year. The way it is presented had me very concerned that a corporation has purchased my company web site domain, that I have been building up for a decade.
I'm concerned that others will be pulled into this scam and want this type of shell game scam to stop.Business Response

Domain Networks is sending out "marketing services" letters to individuals who already have domain name url's with ******* or others, and they are presenting their fake offer like a new bill and asking for payment for said domain url's.
Not only are they so excessivly expensive, they present like a bill that would be forwarded to an accounting department to pay, by someone who did not quite know better.
They don't show what they are offering. They are presenting in a way that is too casual, with just a few lines saying they they can "enhance their website" and they don't go into the why's or hows into reasons saying what is offered for that amount. They send this spam letter all the time and it's becoming annoying to have to deal with it.
It looks like a bill, plain and simple. It doesn't look like a real marketing offer and they know that.
They are trying to trick people into having to use their service and those that don't read the finer print will think they will have to pay to keep their domain.Business Response

Received letter at my Business PO from Domain Networks offering list my business for $289. I Have absolutely no desire to use Domain Networks, I have never ever reached out to them asking for services, nor have I signed up for any newsletter, offers, etc. from them. I do not want to receive any offers from this company with a very, very bad reputation in the website market. I want them to remove me from their mailing list and never again send me any mail, be it physical or digital.Business Response

DomainNetworks sent us a letter with an invoiced bill for $289 for 'marketing services' and 'domain registration' yet we have never done business with this company.
They included '*********' in their invoice which is our domain registrar so it tricked us into paying them.
We sent a check (mistake) and it was cashed and essentially stolen.
This is a fraudulent company that we cannot contact in any way whatsoever.Business Response
