Received a SCAM letter from this company attempting to look like my domain provider. Additionally, I am paid up for my domain thru 2025 and this letter intimates it will expire in Dec of this year.

COMPLETE scam and cannot possibly be compliant with solicitation regulations. BEWARE!!!!!!

As seems to be the most common reason that others have also written to complain about this company, our church was also misled with a written, mailed solicitation looking deceptively like a bill that's due.
I'm encouraged to read some responses from the company that they intend to conduct business ethically and will refund the complainant. I'm anticipating a fair resolution for our all-volunteer, non-profit organization, too.
I've attached the written letter that we've sent to both physical company addresses and their website contact page.

Anytime anyone asks for a refund or pays in error we immediately provide a full refund. The pin code you sent is not working, would you please double check the pin code and email me at *********************** and I will be more than happy to get you taken care of. Sorry for the confusion.

    Customer Answer

Thank you to the Better Business Bureau for forwarding this response from the business, Domain Networks. To my knowledge, we did not receive a response directly from them.

I’m confused by the reference to a “pin code.” Rather, our original letter included the “reference number” that was taken from their mailed solicitation notice [Reference Number: EWC111186]. In reviewing this, however, I see that we inadvertently left out a single digit (written as EWC11186, rather than EWC111186); we should have also included that this was paid by check number **** from the ****** *** ********* ****, for $289.00, written/sent on 10/15/2022.

Thank you for your attention in resolving this matter and issuing a full refund.

Misleading solicitation, borderline attempt to defraud. Their so called “Marketing Solicitation” at first glance clearly looks to be a bill. I have read the responses written by Domain Network, all of which have gaslighting undertones This company is clearly distorting the truth, and hoping to make a profit by deception. Yes, there are caps showing “this is not a bill” however, the font size is way small, it is smashed into another sentence.
At first glance this appears like a company seeking compensation for hosting a web-site. It even arrives looking like a bill. No legitimate company presents themselves like this.

They sent something that looks like a bill from **************.*** claiming I owed them $289 for the "domain listing" for my website. I got through ********, not them, and I'm still paid up through May 2023. They are also pretending to be My Domain with a listed website of ***.********.com and ***.********.com and claim Domain.com as registrar, saying I need to pay a certain amount if I "wish to maintain your Domain listing and keep it active." I don't even know how they go my information and it's extremely unsettling.

The company is repeatedly sending us notices that are deceptive and trying to trick consumers into thinking they are their domain registrar. Their advertising is purposely misleading into hoping you fall for their gimmicks. I hate that these businesses can exist and advertise this way. It is very unethical. There are no details about what this company offers on the sheet for $289.00

I manage the **** ***** **** *****, a small nonprofit yoga studio that relies primarily on volunteers for day-to-day operations. While our treasurer was away, a volunteer collected our mail and remitted bills to our accountant. Domain Network has been sending us solicitations disguised as bills which we routinely discard, but due to the change in personnel, the postal mailing made its way to our accountant who paid the "bill" without question in September of 2022. I was unaware of the situation until the October spreadsheets were released. I have contacted Domain Networks regarding the situation but have had no response. We continue to receive similar emails with the name of the business and the return address altered. We paid Domain Networks $289 for services we do not desire or require and can ill afford.

I have refunded and emailed the customer, I did not receive any contact from her so I am gathering whatever she can provide as far as what number she called, or email she emailed, so I can make sure this does not happen again.

I received a letter from Domain Networks on 10/5/2022 stating that a payment of $289 was due for my annual website domain listing. I did make an electronic payment on 10/06/2022. As I discovered later, after receiving another request for payment, there is fine print on the back of the letter that states the subscription is a solicitation. I do feel that the company's marketing is very deceiving. I do not need or want their services and am requesting a full refund and have attempted to call the company but was recommended that I send an email to ***********************, which I did.

To be Clear, this mailer was presented as a bill and my secretary nearly paid it. I cannot find the original mailer but  I do not recall "this is not a bill" being all caps , instead was well hidden in the find print. What kind of business has to operate this way? Scam business middle men thats what kind, preying on small charititable organizations such as ours.

thank you for your time Tell us why here...
