      Why would they not reserve a vehicle for you if you made a reservation more than 24 hrs, but less than 48 hrs, and still charge you for it? I waited 45 mins in line only to be told at the counter that this was the case. And when I went online to cancel it and receive a refund, it says that I couldn't, as per policy. But they're policy prevented me from getting a car, and they're policy prevented me from getting my money back? Absurd. Avis ILM Wilmington NC.

      I rented an electric car through Uber from Avis. The rental location I picked the car up from is *** * ***** ***** **** **** Collingswood Heights NJ. On the Uber app it says weekly payment would be $295 and when I get to Avis location they tell me it’s $346 which is way higher than I was expecting to pay. I picked the car up June 15th 2023. Avis pulls out $346 every week on Thursday. The week of July 6th to the 13th the payment was supposed to be taken out of another bank account and the employee confirmed it and the amount was taken out of my account. The next day I check my account again and I seen it was put back and pulled off from my credit card putting my account into the negatives. I called the location to resolve the issue and the employee thought it was a joke and started laughing. I asked for the money to be put back onto my credit card and take it off the original card that that I asked for it to be taken off in the first place. The employee said she wasn’t going to do that because it’s been more than 24 hours which is not my fault because when I spoke to the representative that made this transaction and mistake she said her managers weren’t in that day and she would tell them the next day. Apparently she didn’t so I had to call back again. I spoke to another person working there and she had a stank attitude and didn’t want to resolve my issues. So I told her I was going to contact Avis customer service and the billing department. I called the billing department and complaint and also they told me they would put the money back on my credit card and take it from my other debit card and to wait 24 to 72 hours and that it would also be sent to corporate. I waited the 24 to 72 hours and nothing happened. I called again and they said it didn’t go through and they were putting it in again and that it would take 3 to 5 business days for my money to come back onto my card. It’s been more than 3 to 5 business days and nothing has happened.

      Avis rent a car , the one in newportnews virginia international airport . Guy behind the counter almost cAme around and wanted to hit me i have a video of that as well. Black chubby guy with no respect at all… i had paid prepaid 159.52 at the nortfolk international airport and my drop off location was newportnews international airport. Which i did on time all that … guy charged me 280 dollars plus 359.52 on hold.. he had no respect for the customers i asked nicely his name is he was telling me his name is G . Didn’t wanna tell me his name i called police officer for that matter he stills didn’t give me his name was playing around with me , he throws my original receipt in the garbage can, asked him nicely to give me back he left the counter and wanted to hit me i want to escalate this problem with them no-one getting touch me.. they had no idea what they were doing it plus they were going to beat me up.. this is crazy really i will never rent it from them again its not about renting a car its all about my personal information and the way they treated me was awful ! Im going after this no matter how long it takes i do have a video of him coming around the counter and try to hit me … its not even about the money the way they were acting behind the counter was awful. That guy doesn't need to be working for avis for customer service. I basically got beated by employees there and no-one doing anything about it … the white guy name is JACK and that black chubby guy didn't want to give his name to me . But he was playing around telling me his name is G then he was telling me that his name is ( ****** ) which is my name .. that is rude and awful costumer service.. please get in touch with me before i take this video to social media.

      Avis has the worst customer service. I was charged a damage fee to something that's was already on the car plus I paid for the protection. Over 30 days and I keep getting the run around. I will never use Avis again

      Rented a car from the Orlando airport 5 months in advance!! They told us a spot to pick up the car and we walked forever with our luggage to get it and it wasn’t there. Went back in the airport they finally gave us another car. We get to that car and it was filthy. Wtf get your crap together cause we will NEVER rent from this company again or recommend

      There vehicle broke down with 13000 plus miles. Left us stranded in Tennessee. They cared more about there car. After 3 tow trucks were set for the car and no taxi, Lyft, nothing for us. Left my disabled veteran husband, my mother in law, me and alot of luggage. Finally my husband walked 5 times in the storm with all our luggage to a hotel across the interstate.Hotel fee and we paid 250 to get back to Nashville 80 + miles from car breaking down. They repeated they were gonna help us. Then after no ride they told us to get an umbrella. Then would no longer except my husband's calls. We still had to pay the full amount. Lost a day and lots of$$$. There slogan is they care about you and your plans. We don't feel they do. Be-aware!

      IN AZ ALL WE NEED IS PICK UP BEFORE 3 SUNDAY AT THEY'RE OPEN STORE SIMPLE AND DROPBOFF NEXT DAY SIMPLE 5 AGENTS DIDN'T SPEEK ENGLISH EACH ONE 45 MIN CAN'T PUTTING US ON HOLD WE ASK ARE YOU FROM IS STATES THEY ALL TOLD US NO BY WEVKEPT YELLING THEM DEATIL MADE IT SIMPLE 11 am till 130 still they all are confuse hold time 4 reps we are DONE NEVER AGSIN ITS TO LATE OMG GET US SOMEONE TO SPEAK ENGLISH OR SPANISH STUPID TO HIIRE OTHER CONTRYS NO ENGLISH DON'T KNOWB WUSSY THEY ARE DOING HIRE AMERCANS OR US HISPANIC WE CAN DO THE JOB

      I booked and prepaid for a rental for July 20 - July 23, to be picked up at PA airport when the flight arrived at 11:55. My plane was delayed a few minutes. I arrived at the kiosk to pick up the car at around 12: 40. The kiosk was closed; I was unable to pick up the vehicle. I need not tell you how dangerous it is for a woman to be alone in a parking garage at an airport in the middle of the night. I ended up Ubering to the hotel at 2:00 AM, after spending about 30 minutes on the phone with AVIS personnel, only to find out they could not help. (I think they teach this phrase in their training.) Furthering the trouble, I had to pay to take an Uber BACK to the airport this morning to pick up the car. I asked if it would be possible to have the charge for July 20 removed since I was unable to pick up the car as promised. They told me they were sorry but couldn't help me out. I asked if I could get an upgrade on the car rather than a refund & was told, "No, we can not help you with that."
      In addition, when I picked up the car this morning, it was FILTHY on the inside. There are used styrofoam cups, trash, fresh coffee stains on the console, and a baby toy. I asked if I could get a CLEAN car and was told, "I am sorry, we can't help you." At this time, the attendant became rude. I was on a time crunch to get to work, so I took the dirty car. This has been the worst car rental experience we have had, EVER. Now, after 4 hours of sleep and a day of work, I get to clean someone else's mess so I can use the car this weekend and not be assaulted by other people's filth. This is terrible customer service; it's unreliable, especially concerning safety. I called customer service this afternoon and a lady created a case number & sent the information over to another department. I was told I needed to call back when I returned the car to let them know it was returned and maybe we could get refunded for the first day. MORE HASSLE

      I rented from Avis two times and had crazy issues both times where they charged me for items that were damaged when I got the car. SUMMARY: Be aware of ANY damages to your vehicle and make sure all damage in noted IN WRITING. "Noted in the computer" is not good enough.
      1: In Feb 2022 I rented an Avis car from the MSP Airport that had a tire pressure light on (not an uncommon occurrence). I reported that to the person checking the cars in/out and asked if it was okay to take possession of the car with that light on and got a very rude response "we wouldn't let you have the keys if it wasn't ready to go out of here". I took the car and had no problems with it, and reported the same issue when I turned it back in about 2 days later. I then received a bill for around $85 for "Tire Repair" with no other explanation of what was wrong.
      2: I rented again in June 2023 with a scheduled pickup for 8 am (plan to depart 6am the next morning on a trip). First vehicle (Suburban) had some caution light also and they said it should NOT go out, and they didn't have a "similar" vehicle ready to go and they would call me when they had one. It was an ordeal getting the replacement vehicle but I finally got one around 5pm that day. The new vehicle had a couple minor dings in the windshield and I wanted to make sure they had that damage noted and thus I stood in line behind 3 or 4 other people trying to report various minor damages to their vehicle before they checked them out. Everyone in line was told "Yes, we are aware of that damage and it is noted in the computer.". I was leery of that answer and wanted that put "in writing" based on my Feb 2022 experience but was running late already so I accepted their answer. During my trip a crack started spreading from one of those dings and by the time I got home it was probably 8-to-9 inches long. I reported the cracked windshield. Today I got a bill for $805.47 for windshield repair. Phone call to Avis was unsuccessful.

      Bought a car online from RubyCar and it's been a nightmare. At first there were several people e-mailing and calling me but as soon as they got my order...Cricket's.
      Purchased the car on 4/28/23 and I still have no tags and now no one will answer me??
      We financed through Capitol One and paid it off before 30 days, made 2 trips to our DMV to be told their was no Title in Virginia for that vehicle.
      I'm riding on Temporary tags that expired weeks ago and NO WORD from anyone. Very dissapointed and I'm older and honestly didn't know what I was getting in to.
      We had to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up the car and I had to do all the work on-line...Still waiting on my Commision check (eye roll).
      I wanted to give them rave reviews because I worked with a couple of really nice people but I cannot imagine this business lasting. Total chaos and no one knows what anyone is doing. Wish I'd taken my car back within the 7 days but had no idea how inadequate these people were. Would not give 1 Star if I could. Never again!
