      Hi,ZERO stars if possible. Rent a car any where else but here. Rented a car there on May 13, 2023. Declined all added options. Rented the car for one day and returned on Sunday May 14th. When I received my credit card statement I was charged for one of the optional that I had declined. Went through all the channels to get charge reversed, but to no avail. Terrible customer service. I see that they are not BBB accredited so I doubt this complaint will be resolved in any way.

      Avis is horrible! The woman at Joplin, MO was so rude and said we don’t rent to people with your kind of credit. Which 690-700 and no late payments is not bad. I’ll never rent from them, Enterprise has always had my business with no problems. I’m a 55 year old educated grandmother and this punk behind the counter and Avis policy is shameful

      They charged for gas even though I declined the option. I delivered the car with a full tank of gas and they will not refund the gas money which was an estimate. The employee at the counter was also very rude.

      I rented a car from STL airport with drop off at O'Hare airport on 12th May 2023 .While driving from STL to Chicago, I met an accident when a deer hit on highway 55 from front of the car.Car broke and was not in condition to drive. I called avis to file accident & get replacement but after putting me in long waiting queue for 25 min ,call auto disconnected. I tried few more time but same thing.We have to reach airport to catch an international flight.I finally called 911,where local police and IL highway police reached on spot to help. Police provided a report and arranged a paid taxi service to drop to destination. Police also guided us to leave car on location and they will get it towed to safe location. After reaching Chicago, I again contacted avis support service and they filed incident with all details .Finally with all frustration & mental harassment ,I boarded my flight & started my vacation in stress. After reaching destination ,I saw my contract is still open & getting charged with penalty on daily.After few days Avis Loss & Prevention team started sending me email that I have not returned the car ,a legal action will be taken on me .I am also not allowed to reply to that email.I called Avis Customer Support and explained full story .They stopped my credit card getting charged until car will be recovered from tow location and stopped sending emails from LP department .Now after many follow ups from Customer care ,Loss & Prevention dept ,Impound Dept ,Claim Dept ,today after 88 days ,I saw that I am charged $5658 for duration 05/12/2023 to 7/20/2023 .What can I do if Avis took 87 days to get the car back from tow location while I informed them on day 1 ? I also took LDW coverage so should not be charged for any damage .Also I should be reimbursed for amount I have paid for taxi service to drop from accident location to Chicago as avis was not able to provide car replacement . Requesting Avis to fix this as soon as possible .Disappointed with Service.

      They suck. They charged me $210 to pre pay for rental then when we dropped it off they charged us $300+. I’ve been trying to get my refund for the $210 but it’s been like pulling teeth and they only refunded me $27. No idea where they got $27 from. DO BETTER

      I rented a car with Avis through priceline for a quick weekend trip, My pick up time was set for 12pm, my flight landed early and I picked up the car at 10:20am....... they had the audacity to charge me $32 for the hour I picked it up early. The car was only $40 to rent for the day! In addition when I returned the car, I got slammed with an additional $87.61 in fees after I had paid priceline to rent the vehicle. When I called customer service I spent 30min on the phone with someone who kept repeating the same information over and over like a robot. The call was less then productive, I have never been so frustrated with a company and will never be using them again.

      I rented a car from A car from Avis in France, the tank was half full when I took the car and I filled it to 3/4 when I returned the car yet they are charging me 520CAD, asking to prove where and when I last filled the tank. What they are asking is irrelevant since Pictures that I have provided them it clearly shows the date and time with the kms and fuel level of when vehicle taken and returned. I wish there was a ZERO star choice to select for Avis Rental

      I was just cornered in the bathroom by 2 black female Avis employees accused of taking a picture of them. This never occurred. Not the best business choices. This place will never get my money or money from anyone I know.

      I have contacted this line for help, only when despite, over the years. Absolutely no help. Just another example of corporate"********" attempt to try to convince ******* and ******** born citizens that they " Care".? Not working.....There is no end to the falsehoods. There is no help.... peroid.. You all.... reading this... God bless you and I truly hope nothing but the best for you.
