      If I can give them a NO star I would. Horrible in person service and when you call the 800# customer service, it's even worst. I expected a 6 seater car and received barely a 4 seater and then they have the nerve to charge me $45 per day for the minivan. HORRIBLE

      Rented a car on Feb 22. On Feb 23, my family and I were pulled over on an interstate highway by several state and local police. Three were holding us a gunpoint! We were directed individually to exit the vehicle, walking backwards with hands up under gunpoint, directed to our knees, handcuffed and placed in separate police vehicles. My wife and daughter-in-law were scared to say the least! It was humiliating as cars passed slowly and stared due to the 8 police cars surrounding us. Once the car was "cleared" I was told the car was reported as stolen! I asked how they found the cars location (since we were two states away) and was told that Avis was tracking it. They rented us the car yet were tracking it as stolen?!?!? After ***** minutes we were released with the car but were then late for the days activities. An officer called later to tell us that despite their efforts, the car was still listed as stolen and to drive it at our own risk. We called Avis and got the robotic, by the book non answers while they tried to negotiate with us for a 50% refund, then 75%. I was eventually promised a full refund and a car exchange at an airport an hour away! No offer to bring us a car to replace one that was listed as STOLEN. Next day we drove to the airport (not part of our planned trip!) to exchange the car/ The Avis people had no idea we were coming and did not have a comparable car to give us, so we got downgraded to a smaller car that barely fit our contents. Called Avis again and got the same robotic non answers. We asked for a return call from management and were told they'd call back in 72 hours. Five Days Later now, no return call and still have 3 charges on my credit card which total more an the original rental price! So no refund and no one has called us back with an explanation or apology or anything. We are thoroughly angered and disgusted! Now, because of the lack of being taken seriously, we are considering legal action.

      We do confirm that arrangements have been submitted by our **************** team for a full reimbursement of the rental cost in relation to your experience. Regretfully, adjustments cannot be applied to active rentals and for this reason, neither the prepayment value or additional charges were able to be adjusted until after the rental had concluded and final charges posted. The additional charges for Loss Damage Waiver coverage, refueling charges, and associated tax have been refunded and should reflect on your account by March 7th or sooner. Prepayments are processed through an automated server and are expected to be completed by March 15th or sooner. 

      We are fully aware that providing good service is a major factor in separating us from the competition. To learn that we have failed to provide you with the level of service you would expect from us was perhaps as disappointing for us as it was for you. We take this commitment to our customers very seriously and a copy of your comments has been forwarded to the responsible department for review and correction.

      Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your contacting us.

      They charged me at the airport and then never gave me a car or my money back. They told me to call corporate office but they said there is no record of me being charged. My card company told me the charge is pending and they cant reverse it until it settles. Its been over 3 weeks and still pending but the money has not been returned. $350 just missing from my account. Never again will I do business with such shady people.

      After we have completed billing, typically within 72 hours of a contract being closed, we release any amount from the hold that we did not use for rental billing. This is indicated by the pending transaction being closed and any excess funds are available again in your account balance. Because we only receive the amount we use for billing, most banks will not show the hold release as a credit; the pending transaction will simply be removed and the funds are returned to your available balance.

      If it has been longer than 30 days since the time of the transaction and your card provider still has the hold amount for this rental showing as a pending authorization, please phone Avis **************** back with your card provider on the line with you so we may facilitate the card authorization release of funds your card provider is holding for your past rental transaction.

      Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your contacting us.

      This is the WORST experience Ive ever had renting a car. Id love to give ********************** a zero rating, especially the ********** ** location! From the hour+ wait in line, in person customer service, not having the type of car I reserved in advance, not being able to get ahold of this Avis location in person when there was an issue with the rental car and the poor quality of the vehicle that was rented. I would NEVER rent from Avis again and certainly NEVER from this location!Even after vacation I continue to have to deal with this company over the phone to resolve issues with additional charges charged to my credit card (Which needed to refunded after two separate phone calls and an hour+ on the phone!) and tolls charged to my credit card that wasnt me. PLEASE check all your rental paper work to be sure its correct! Take pictures of the rental and the mileage. They mixed up the type of vehicle that I had with someone elses rental and tried billing me for it! Now I need to call a different number to dispute the toll charges. What a complete nightmare and waste of my time!

      WISH I COULD DO NO STARS!! You will never get a recommendation from me! You need to train your staff correctly!! I booked a reservation with your company almost 2 weeks in advance! I called 3 times over a week and a half to ask about using a chime debit card or chime secured credit card! I was told I could use the debit card but would be charged a deposit of $250. Not a problem! Called one more time before I prepaid online and reserved it ! Landed at ***************************** airport went to the rental counter to check in , got my debit card out and the woman was very rude and dismissive and said we can not use that card ! I explained to her everything I just said and she dismissed me and said she could not help me ! So here I am in ******* with no way to get to my grandmothers house!! Why am I being punished because I dont want to go in debt and have a credit card ?!?! You should be ashamed of yourselves!! You say its a recorded line so I suggest you pull all the calls and train everyone of them correctly!!!

       If you have prepaid the rental, the rental authorization hold will be $250.00 USD; these funds will not be available for your use. Prepaid charge cards are not accepted for this required hold and in case of reservation with non ** currency, a credit card with same currency of reservation with equivalent USD amount would be required.       I tried to rent a compact sedan on Feb/23 at midnight at *** airport. First there is no one at the counter so I have to yell loudly to find someone. He is very impatient and impolite. He told be there is no compact sedan and he can only give me minivan or pickup, which are too big for me to drive. I had not choose but to choose the pickup. I told him that I did not want any additional service but when I return the car, I found out that RSN service fee for 8 usd per day was added. The customer service was rude as well when I tried to argue about this. This is the worse experience I had and I will never rent from AVIS.

      Unhelpful, belittling, and rude counter rep; deceptive extension verbal phone-quote not honored upon return. Offered no choice of cars in same class tier. No way to contact folks at local counter to attempt to remedy mischarges. Charged my bank card without showing me or having me a[[rove of charges, or inquiring if I desired to pay using another method. Then, claimed it was already charged and could do nothing about it, and wasn't authorized to make any changes. Final charges failed to calculate original "discounts" that were in agreement. Definitely, will be VERY reluctant to use Avis again!!

      For those customers who are not members of our Avis Preferred frequent renter program, Avis provides a signed, written copy of their rental agreement contract that specifically outlines all of the charges associated with their rental period. These charges are based on the rental parameters provided in the reservation or based on any changes made by the customer at the time the contract is created at the rental counter. These contracts are signed by the customer at the time of ********************** so that by signing the rental agreement contract, the customer agrees to all of the ********************** charges and any potential costs associated with changes in your rental parameters. The costs associated with any changes in the rental parameters are also outlined on the written contract. If a customer does not agree with the contract details presented at time of rental, it is the due responsibility of the renter to request clarification and correction prior to departing the location with the rental agreement and vehicle.
       
      We are sorry that the charges displayed on your finalized rental billing differed from what you were expecting. Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your contacting us.

      I rented from this location and the customer service was atrocious and they didn't even help me with an inspection prior to taking the vehicle. While driving the bumper fell off the vehicle without any collision as it looks like it was incorrectly repaired previously. They are now charging me a large sum to repair it and refusing to assist me despite the fact I had no control over the scenario. I would recommend you rent anywhere else besides here as they disregard your safety and your wallet.

      I rented a car from Budget at their ********************** Airport February ****, ****. We were supposed to get a ****** corolla type car, but they rented us a ************** Bolt. The woman at counter said it should work for us, so we agreed. She asked where we were going, let her know 1 hour away and also drive to *****, ** to visit my grand-son. She felt it would work and looked up place we were staying, ******************, & said it had a charging station. So we agreed. Car was less that 50% charged when we received it and she noted that for us. Our resort did not have a charge station but local WaWa did. WaWa was only for Tesla. After much looking, found Margaritaville Resort. Took hours to find where to charge and then after a few hors, realized a ***** Bolts require 18 hours to fully charge. No instructions in car, no car manual, counter people unknowledgeable about electric car. We called Roadside assistance 3 times for help and hung up on twice after long wait times. They did not know what to do. YOu should have a record of our calls to roadside. They hung up on us each time, before we could resolve it. You should have records of our calls to them. Since an 18 hour charge had to leave at Margaritaville resort and walk back to hotel and back to car for 2 miles along a very busy highway. Concerned they would tow it as not staying there. never got to ***** to see grandson. Upon returning car, woman was rushed and unhelpful, said she could do nothing for us and call Budget. I purchased the insurance, as read electric vehicles have more accidents & expensive to fix. Did not want to chance it going on my insurance, so I spent extra money on insurance. I believe you should refund me my rental fee and the insurance I paid for. Very Unhappy with Budget and their lack of knowledge of electric vehicles, no info in the car for the consumer on how to use electric vehicles, lack of customer service from their Roadside Assistance and counter person.

      I recently rented a vehicle for business travel from the ********* ************ Rent a Car. When I returned the vehicle there was no employee available to check in my vehicle so I continued on to catch my shuttle and flight. When I received my e-receipt there was additional $125 charge for fuel although the vehicle was returned full. I cannot imagine a scenario where this was accidental or an error by the employee checking in my vehicle as the fuel gauge read full. I reached out to customer service and have spent over a couple hours attempting to have the charge reversed, with no success. I will never rent from **** again. Beware if you are a business traveler and if you can be there when the employee checks in your vehicle you may avoid this situation.
