      I pulled into the Avis ************************ location and tried to attract the attention of an attendant. He would not attend to me and ignored me whilst he was fully engaged in a personal phone call. The most awful customer service.I have been overcharged and insist on being contacted.

      We are sorry to hear that you were treated rudely. That is not what we like to hear and surely don't want our customers to have bad experiences with our agents. Reports such as this are not taken lightly and the inappropriate behavior you encountered at the *********************** location will be addressed with the location management urgently.  

      We did confirm that Prepaid Fuel had been accepted on your rental. While we do not typically have refund for unused fuel, we do confirm that you returned the vehicle full and have issued a refund of the prepaid fuel. An updated receipt has been issued reflecting the adjustment. 

      Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your contacting us.

      I just rented a car in ****** and the agent used high-pressure tactics to sell additionalcar insurance. I was already covered by current auto insurance for rentals. Then the agent said I'd have to continue renting the car through any potential repair period. Avis ended up charging me twice what I paid to rent the car just the insurance alone. Agents must receive a commission to have customers get insurance, because she was using every tactic in the book to close her deal. The agent also used personal stories and guilt to manipulate me to get this insurance. She essentiallysaid that locals in **** had to endure high pricing, so I should too. That just doesn't belong in a professional car rental interaction.

      I was charged 105 dollars over what my receipt stated and was told it was not refundable because I returned the rental 1 hour early. How ridiculous is it to get penalized for returning your car early.

      RUN AWAY! AVIS advertised a guaranteed lowest price for a certain class of car. I was comparison shopping and their price did NOT include fees and taxes - until you agree to the rental. Once you see the all-in price, they lock in the rental and charge you a $50 cancellation fee even if you cancel within minutes of looking at the reservation. It was worth it in the long run as I saved $400 on a better car with Dollar, but still needed to pay Avis the $50 fee. It's a scam. AVIS should be ashamed of this business practice. The states' attorney general should review this as well.

      When booking a reservation, we provide available vehicles and rates after our renters indicate the location, dates, and applicable discounts and promotions for their intended use. Additional products are offered and many of these *** be subject to surcharges and taxes, however, the selected vehicle type, rate, and associated taxes and fees are available for review in the top right corner of the screen on our website. If no additional products are selected, the same information carries over to the final screen and this information remains displayed in the top right corner. 

      Our prepay policies are disclosed in summary in the Terms and Conditions field and a full disclosure is highlighted beside the checkbox that indicates that our renters reviewed all of these policies. We understand that you *** have overlooked this information and apologize for any difficulties that *** have caused.

      Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your contacting us.

      Work rental experience. I sat for 2+ hours for a car. After my reservation being moved to 4 different locations. Then they initially tried to reject my reservation( which I pre paid in full for) because I dont have a credit card. Then they didnt have type of vehicle I reserved, only larger more expensive( which then I got charged extra for). And also was charged another$250 deposit. When I returned car on time and clean I was not refunded deposit. Eventually I was refunded part of deposit, but the other $105 still was not refunded. Avis claims it was but my bank has had to open a dispute because it was not refunded. When I call they are very rude and tell me they are not paying it because it was already refunded on there end. This is ridiculous. Is my $105 gonna make or break them? But I will never use Avis or budget in my life again and I rent cars ***** times a year. For that $105 they just cost tens of thousands of dollars of my business.

      Was really expecting to have a great weekend with the guys. On my confirmation email it did all I needed was my drivers license and credit card. Upon arrival the girl at the counter tried to upgrade me as if it was free then told me it was more. She then said I needed 2 photo id's, which I didn't have on me because the confirmation email didn't say i needed to. Then came a supervisor who then just flat out refused service. Then also refused to refund me and told me to call the 1800 number. Also good luck getting anything solved with these guys. The 1800 customer service number is a 3rd party contractor so they have no supervisors you can talk to. What a joke of a company.

      We rented our car from ******************* on 8/6-8/9. Our RA is 7 5 4 0 5 4 9 5 4 Our car promised was a **** Mustang or similar. We got a Kia **** that had been in a hail storm and was dented on the roof on the hood and had multiple dents and scratches. When we asked for a different car they didnt have any other options other than an 8 passenger van. So we asked for at least a discount and we were told no. I was super disappointed. Especially since the car was in such bad shape. How is it that we paid the same for a dented and banged up car that the person who got there earlier paid for a brand new Tesla? I have sent my complaints with pictures to Avis in hopes of a refund or a discount and hopefully it will be resolved.

      We apologize the vehicle you were provided had pre-existing damage. We forecast vehicle availability based on how vehicles are scheduled to return. Several circumstances could cause inventory issues such as vehicles being extended, not returned on time or as agreed, returned to a different location, or breakdowns. We do our best to accommodate every rental but sometimes if vehicles aren't returned when they are scheduled, it causes us to be short on vehicles.

      For the downgrade and condition of the vehicle you had use of, we have submitted for an adjustment of $95.00 from the rental charges. A receipt reflecting this adjustment will be sent automatically once this has been processed.

      My experience with Avis wasnt great from the start but it because worse. I rented a premium sub which I prepaid for however I was told they had none available and I had two wait 90 mins after my appt time to receive a similar vehicle. Luckily a lady who also didnt receive her car of choice who was given my car of choice her my frustration at the counter and asked that I be given the vehicle. The rental was for one day, however the morning of the return I was rear ended while traveling and experienced a traumatic car wreck resulting in the car being struck twice by two different cars and myself and two passengers being hospitalized. I reported the incident to Avis a few hours after the wreck, while in the hospital, and was assured the vehicle rental would be closed out and provided case number ********. This was not the case as each day Ive called Avis and I was told I owe nothing and to allow ***** hours to close out the rental. The wreck occurred on 8/4/24 and Ive spoken with Avis daily yet they continue to attempt to charge my credit card and have not closed out the return.

      Rental contracts remain open until a vehicle is physically recovered by Avis; from review of your case you provided that the vehicle had been impounded by a 3rd party after your accident. This information has been submitted to our Impound team to recover the vehicle. When the vehicle has been accounted for, the rental can be closed. 

      Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.

      Budget has the worse customer service we have ever experienced:Showed up for our rental at the *************** and our confirmed reservation, along with 50 other people, and they had zero cars for any of us.Extremely rude employees at the counters who showed no interest or concern for the customers.The Budget employee told us to return tomorrow for a car. I asked if we would receive a charge for not picking up at our scheduled time and they said of course not. Of course we received a late charge and and extra charge for supposedly changing our reservation at the last min? Although all of the changes were because they had no cars! It was extremely hard to get through to their customer service number, hours spent trying to correct this. My son is in the military and he was supposed to get that discount, but didnt. At the Budget counter they wouldnt help at all saying they couldnt do anything because we prepaid? We had to go back to the number that takes you hours to get though.Lastly, my son went to the website to change his return date. His dates to come home have changed. The minute you choose modify return date it automatically puts in the date you are choosing that option. The calendar choices are grey and you cant choose any dates! So now he has a return dat of today instead of Saturday . I am sure there will be another charge for this. He spent another hour trying to sort it out on the customer service line. They gave him a case number but were not able to enter the correct return date? Of course were not concerned with any possible website issues or willing to help with anything. When this is all over my son and I will be filing another complaint with documentation to back it up.I believe it is fraud when you have a company that makes a bunch of mistakes and charges the customer for it and offers no good customer service to fix the mistakes they made.

      I am a frequent traveler, having to fly nearly every week, so naturally I rent many cars. Ive mad max ****** with National, Hertz, and now AVIS. Over the last 2 years with AVIS, Ive had sooo many issues that never occurred with either ***** and National. Not only is their rewards program inferior compared to their competition, but their reoccurring rental issues a nightmare to deal with.The primary issues are billing errors and poor car maintenance. Approximately 1 in every 5 rental cars I have will have a billing error. Typically, this is a charge for gas when the tank is returned full. This leads to having to call customer service to dispute the charges. So I have to call AVIS customer service on a monthly basis to remove fraudulent charges they make, probably in the hopes that people wont dispute. The more important issue at hand is the condition of the cars that are rented out at AVIS. Within the span of 1 year, Ive received 2 cars with mechanical failures that required a tow and swap. within 8 months, Ive had 4 cars with tire pressure lights go on due to being severely under or overinflated. Im talking 23PSI or 50PSI. I even had a car with a tire bubble. Naturally, I contacted AVIS customer service about these systematic tire problems. I received an automated message confirmation, then a few days later an employee reached out to me with a template response that did not even address any of the issues in my email and was just corporate speak for yaya we dont care. TLDR; AVIS corporate systematically erroneously bills customers and does not maintain their vehicles and rents them out in dangerous conditions
