What a scam ezpass is and theres nothing you can do. We have no choice but to use it on the highways and if not then the tolls are over double. They put all these fees on and will not let you choose the amount to replenish, the6 choose it for you. **, ** and ** are such crooks. My card expired and I had gone thru the toll booths before I could change my card so I got a letter from NJ about a $9 toll and there was a $100 admin fee. PA charged me only for some of the tolls then put them as an invoice and left it open so I accrued late fees. I emailed them and they didnt do anything and charged me more late fees

Toll collection is supposed to make travel faster, easier, and more efficient. The promise of E-ZPass, when it was rolled out, was to remove the inconvenience of stopping to pay cash at toll booths. You sign up, receive a tag, mount it in your car, and the system automatically deducts the tolls from your account. Simple, right? At least, thats how its supposed to work. But for many drivers in New Jersey, including myself, the E-ZPass system has become a bureaucratic trap a labyrinth of errors, impossible customer **********************, endless violations, and financial stress. What should be an effortless system has turned into an absolute nightmare. For weeks now, Ive been caught in this loop: unable to reach anyone on the phone, unable to log in to the website, unable to pay my bill, and stuck with violations piling higher and higher. And the more I try to resolve it, the worse it seems to get. This is my story not just of a flawed toll system, but of how a state-run service can fail the very people its meant to serve.

I went over the **********/ ***************** which was a 2.50 toll. I had the cash on hand but it was closed and it started I would receive the bill in the mail. I received the bill for 2.50 plus 7.50 bill fee. ?? I called customer ********************** was waiting for 1 1/2 hours for customer ********************** to answer my call. They stated I had to pay the 7.50 fee no exceptions ?????? A 2.50 toll cost me *****. State of New Jersey ***** and lives ripping people off!!!!!

EZ Pass (New Jersey) is a total scam. First and foremost, this company is not a U.S. owned company as it is owned by ************** (which is owned by the ************************ Customer ********************** is a basically a no-show. Their violation system is extremely flawed and is a money-grab mechanism. Very disappointed with EZ Pass.

EZ-Pass is, without a doubt, the WORST vendor I have ever dealt with, from being on hold for over 2.5 hours to being charged for tolls I never went through. What can one do if one cannot get through to anyone to discuss? Is anyone working there?? This is a SCAM. The governor should get involved and clean this place up.

I had to get my transponders replaced because they were at least 13 years old, one wasn't working and NJ EZ Pass never contacted me about the tag replacement program. Their automated telephone system and website mention a prepaid envelope to be used to return the old transponders. I received the new transponders, but no prepaid envelope(s). Eventually, I went to a local *********** and paid $8.49 (postage/envelope) for the units to be returned. When I was finally able to speak with a NJ EZ Pass agent, he stated they no longer send out prepaid envelopes. He was not able to give a date when the prepaid envelopes program stopped, only kept stating "Recently". I contacted my NJ legislators, who contacted ****. A **** representative called back and stated it was a NJ EZ Pass issue. She would ask her supervisor for reimbursement, but stated it would probably be denied. I have never heard back from ****. I called back NJ EZ Pass and waited over an hour to speak with an agent. The female agent stated the same thing about they no longer provide prepaid envelopes. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was informed no supervisor was available, but would call back. This was on July 9th. On July 15th, a supervisor called, but the number on the caller ID indicated "Spam Likely" so I didn't answer. He left a voicemail message stating he was a supervisor and returning my phone call. He stated to call back their toll free number, so I have to wait again. As of July 15th, their website and automated telephone system still mentions prepaid envelopes.

Dear *********** am writing to EXPOSE NJ EZ PASS FOR alleging insufficient funds in my E-ZPass account. I submitted a dispute including my EZ pass number on the back on the invoice as the directions clearly stated. I then faxed my dispute back on 3/14/25 which was successfully sent , and i also kept my transmission fax report. ( this was done within the 10 day ***** period) This claim is erroneous, as I have an active autopay arrangement in place to ensure my account always maintains adequate funds.Upon receiving the violation notice, I promptly reviewed my E-ZPass account and confirmed that the autopay feature is enabled and functioning correctly. This system automatically replenishes my account balance as needed, preventing any instances of insufficient funds. Therefore, the assertion that my account lacked sufficient funds is *************, I have collections notice for an error on NJ EZ-PASS behalf.also i have attempted to call on multiple occasions and i can not get to a representative and wait times are longer than 30 mins although the QUE states on 25 mins

Something has to be done about the EZ-Pass business. If the ******************** doesn't want to hire toll collectors that's fine. IT IS ROBBERY FOR EZ-PASS TO MAKE ME PAY $50.85 FOR AN $.85 TOLL. There has to be some branch of government in New Jersey that can stop this tyranny. You cannot force me to buy a product that i don't want. I don't travel the Parkway and I don't need to be penalized because I don't want to buy their product.

The absolute worst customer ********************** ever!!!! Not only did I have to sit on hold for over an hour multiple times but I was told that my account was in good standing only to get a letter from a lawyer two weeks later after ez pass sent me to collections. The best part of the whole thing is that the balance that was sent to collections was not for tolls all tolls are paid, it was for a50 dollar fee for each toll that the ez pass transponder did not read. When i got the statement from ezpass i disputed the tolls as i am a expass customer they took the tolls out of ********************** account but send the fees to collection anyway, this is the 7 time this has happened. I have 5 cars under my account and its always the same transponder that has trouble. I even requested a new one but they insists it how we drive and not the transponder. Also is it a requirement to work for them you have to be a rude nasty person ? I have yet to find one present person who works here. If I could have given them negative stars I would have!!!
