I've been an EZ Pass account holder since ****. I had my credit card stolen twice and didn't know it. This time I thought my tag wasn't reading as I have had that problem before. Then I got these ridiculous violations in the mail to the tune of $416.00 in penalties. My cars plate is listed under my name so it was a "registered ESPass vehicle.I emailed the resolution email on their web site and they came back and said they gave me a "courtesy" violation pass already since it happened for the second time in 12 months. I can't help that my credit card has been stolen multiple times. I have no problem paying the tolls naturally but this is ridiculous. Now I am getting collection notices and no one returns your calls.

I am a long time ez pass customer, with an account in good standing. My credit card on file declined and ez pass did not notify me and subsequently over 21 violations has occurred in a 2 week time period. They will only delete 12 and are attempting to charge me over ****** for ***** in tolls. Supervisor gave me absolutely no options to appeal other than "theres nothing we can do" after 2 phone calls that each had over 2 hours of hold times. I will be seeking legal recourse for the stress this has caused me

EZ pass has some scam going. I have been a long time, in good standing customer. Months back the credit card that I had on file for auto-replenishment was compromised and I had to cancel the card. I did not realize that the card had initially been compromised and no charges were being processed. I incurred a fine which I immediately disputed. I never received a response. From there, I received several additional fines. Again, I disputed these with an explanation, paid the toll, and replenished my balance. Here is the part that gets me.Once you have a violation, EZ pass does NOT allow you to keep a card on file for auto-replenishment! I am a frequent traveler for work and rely on auto-replenishment. Now I am constantly incurring fines. I feel like this is just a money grab. Why not allow me to auto-replenish any longer? I have tried disputing, tried contacting them and now I got a collection notice for fines. I have always paid the toll but really - a $50 fine for a $2 toll. It is a money grab, scam tactic. Someone should really be looking into this. Especially if you have a patron who has been in good standing for 10+ years with no issues, now this is a perpetual problem. Anyone else experience this? Maybe its time for some of us to band together.

I have been a ** Ezpass customer for 3 years, maybe more. I Never moved the ez pass tags and always pay my toll bill. I am now getting a toll violation every time i use the EZpass. I recieved a letter that states my car is not registered when in fact it is! I have had the same car with the same license plates and the tags are in the same location. Yet im now being charged a violation administrative fee of $50 every time i use the tolls. I can have a positive balance and still get a violation! I have called many many times to try to resolve this issue and i am put on hold for hours with no answer at all. They are unreachable! I see many other people going through similar circumstance. They need to be investigated!

I purchased a car in New Jersey last summer, so I received a temporary New Jersey license plate. Since I live in ********, I registered the car and my EZ Pass account with the New York DMV. During this process, I was told I could use my car without an EZ Pass tag because my temporary license plate can be scanned and connected to my EZ Pass account. So, during the first few weeks of owning a car, I started commuting daily to work from ******** to New Jersey, and traveled once to visit family in ************. The ******** and ************ tolls charged properly, but for some reason, the New Jersey tolls were not processing properly and incurred $50 penalty fees for each transaction. EZ Pass started sending me notices in fall 2022, but I was in the middle of moving so the notifications and address forwarding got delayed. Around March 2023, I called EZ Pass New Jersey to pay off the fees but remove the penalties, and they referred me to ******** EZ Pass. When I contacted ******** EZ Pass, they referred me back to New Jersey, and neither of them indicated it was an issue they were willing to pursue, so I thought they understood my explanation as to why the penalties should be removed and took care of it. Then last week, I received a bill from a collections agency for just over $1,000, consisting of tolls and penalties. I called New Jersey EZ Pass to pay off those outstanding tolls only, not the penalties, and New Jersey EZ Pass accepted my payment. I then asked New Jersey EZ Pass to waive penalties, since those werent my fault and were applied in error. EZ Pass New Jersey only agreed to lower the penalties to about $400. The New Jersey EZ Pass supervisor I spoke with today was unhelpful and was not willing to recognize that this was their mistake, not mine. I should not be charged any penalties at all, because I had a working EZ Pass account while I had a temporary license plate.

I have ezpass ** for the last 5 years no Problem, but for the last six months I keep getting violations requesting $50 because my ezpass can't read or because I don't have the extra $0.13 on the account and I keep calling to dispute the violation and let the office know that I have a issue but nothing ever gets resolved needless to say now I can't dispute anymore and have to pay $104.00 on tolls violations because I've reached my limit. And no matter what I say I can't fix the problem and I keep being told that it's my fault and I have to pay the violations.

I called ** E-Z pass to cancel the Delaware Memorial Bridge Commuter Discount Plan (DRBACMTP) (Tag specific) plan since I no longer worked in **. However, I was being charged the $25 fee for not reaching the minimum toll allotment to avoid this fee. I called to cancel the plan in 2021. I spoke to few representatives via phone during the month of April and May of 2023 to understand why I was receiving the fee when I barely used the ez pass device.4/23 a representative stated that they saw that I requested to have the plan cancelled and that the fee of $25 was being debited from my account. They promised to remove the fee however, only a supervisor can do so and the supervisor would call me. The most recent conversation I had was on 5/25 and spoke to a representative by the name ******. She told me that the plan was never removed and that she wouldn't escalate requesting having the most recent $25 fee refunded because she knows it wouldn't be honored. I asked her to try as she wouldn't know and I'd rather get a no from the escalation team.I still have not been contacted to any supervisor or anyone that has the authority to credit my account.Since ** E-Z Pass was aware/notified of my request to remove the plan and a representative stated they saw the request of removal(all of their calls are recorded)...I am in connection with my attorney at escalating further. Fasley charging fees to consumers seems like a huge consumer affairs problem.

I have been a customer with ****************** for the past 10 years with no issues. Recently my credit card got stolen so I had to cancel it. During that time, I forgot to update the payment information on my EZpass account. Driving as usual, until I saw a notification by one of the toll gates to call the customer ************************* my surprise, every time I passed the toll gate I was charged an extra $50. That being said my current bill was over $1200. I called the agency, and they were able to drop 12 out of 22 disputes. Now the bill is $480, although I paid all the pending amount for the tolls. This is unfair. The employee's response to my concerns was "You do not have to pay it, we will just send it to collections". Since when can anyone just charge a ridiculous amount of money in penalties without the customer's approval and just send the bill to collections to ruin their credit score? I hope you can help me with my concern. Looking forward to your advice.****
