      I filed a Claim on 5-11-23 for an electrical problem that I have in my home. I have called on several occasions and has gotten the same response for a customer service representative that they are looking for a Contractor in my area to come and repair my service. I called again today, ****, 2023 (which makes 2-Weeks) and keep getting the same thing, that I can hire my own contractor and they would reimbursement me. Why would I call my own Electrical Contractor, when that is the reason I signed on with them. Plus, the way they are handling my Claim, Why would I Trust them to Reimburse Me. I am Tired of Getting the" Run Around". I have decided that I am going to "CANCEL" Both of my Contract with them. If I had known if that's the way they worked, I would have Never Signed on with them.! If I had a Choice, I would' "Not" give them Not "One Star".

      I am writing to express my deep disappointment as a customer and concerned citizen regarding the services provided by AWR through *** DEP. I am dissatisfied with the handling of my recent complaint and feel the need to raise awareness among other consumers. Holding AWR accountable for their inadequate response is crucial.On May 21, 2023, I had a clogged sewer back-up in my basement and sought assistance from AWR. ****** and ***** failed to provide timely and efficient solutions. Initially, ****** informed me that I would have to wait 24 hours for a plumber, which is unacceptable given the urgency and safety risks involved. Seeking clarification from *****, I was shocked to learn that it would take an additional three days for professional assistance. This extended delay forced me to find alternative accommodations as essential utilities became unusable.When I requested to speak with a supervisor for an expedited resolution, I was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Eventually, ***** informed me that his supervisor was in an important meeting, showcasing the lack of consideration and urgency, even on a Sunday morning. It is disheartening to experience such dismissive treatment from a company I have relied on.I have faithfully paid for the American Water Resources Sewer Line Protection Insurance Policy through *** DEP, expecting prompt assistance in times of need. Unfortunately, this incident has shattered my confidence in your services. I implored ****** and ***** to take my complaint seriously and resolve the situation promptly.Furthermore, it is imperative for you to address systemic issues within your customer service department to prevent others from facing similar problems.

      I have been dealing with this problem with American Water Resources, *** since January 2023 until present and it still is not settled. I opened 3 water/ sewerage account's 1 each for 3 different properties. From day one **** opened the accounts wrong and the problems began. The way he opened them it looked fraudulent to my bank so they stopped it until I called AWR to find out what was going on. I then authorized the payments and AWR was paid. Suddenly, AWR continued to charge my card, ultimately to the amount of $850.32, while I only owed $287.28, they finally credited me $467.28 when they in fact owed me $563.04 and I called them and inquired what the heck was going on, I was told by the customer service rep that they were having a computer glitch and I would get it all back. That never happened I have spoken to a total of 14 Cust. Ser. Reps. and every single one of them including their Supervisor's have done nothing but make promises and lie. I was told 3 weeks ago that they couldn't credit me but would mail me a check for $257.40 because they "suddenly" couldn't credit me. They even realized they had charged me for 4 houses instead of three and had paid for 1 house 2 times. They even had me send them another $95.76 , saying that they couldn't take the extra payment from the one house and credit it to one they claimed they did get paid for (which my bank verified they did).They have really given me the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and lied to me over and over. I was promised a call back several time and never received one. I called and asked for the Corporate Offices phone number and was told, no one was going to give it to me. How's that for customer service? Thank you E&D ************ LLC

      We had the protection plan and have been denied our claim several times now! We had many photos but they are claiming they need video of the damaged pipes. I want my money back that I put in for this plan! We were in a hotel for days and ** American water did not help ** so we paid for the work to be done so we could get back into our house. Then tried to get reimbursed with no luck. This insurance is a scam! 3 days ago we were told our claim was approved for reimbursement only to find out the woman lied and we were denied a 3rd time. The insurance is a scam! Do not bother! Save your money!

      I think this company is the WORST! They do not keep their word. They never have anyone that is available to come to do the work...they tell you to go ahead & contact someone to fix whatever the problem is & then they do not reimburse you! IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!! I had to to choose a star rating but I did not want to give them even one star!!!!

      I recently bought the American water resources warranty, was fairly easy to purchase as california resident. 05/10/2023 I noticed leak in outside system, call the company and they sent out a company, refusing to approve fixing the leak, I'm in california and cannot even speak to a person, I call the number and no one is licensed in california; therefore, they're unable to speak with me and someone from california will give me a call back, meantime, Myself and Family is without water nearly a week now. Please, do not waste your money seems more like an elaborate scam.***********************

      They are a scam. We purchased the insurance in April of 2022. In January of 2023, our water bill soared and we were service lines needed to be replaced. Called American Water Resources, LLC and they told us to get it fixed and submit bill along with pictures of the work. We submitted all the paperwork they requested. On March 22, 2023, we were informed by **** that they were deducting $200 on the bill because the insurance did not pay for pressure regulators and processing for payment. With that information, we renewed our insurance when it came due in April. Have called several times to check on payment and we are told they are still reviewing our claim even though in March we were told it had been renewed and payment was forthcoming. As of May, no check and when you call you get a different customer service rep who basically says they are reviewing for payment. We have contacted Better Business and per our attorney, will file in small business court. May never see our money, but we won't be fooled in April **** to renewing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

      They did not reach out to us. I did receive one missed called that I could not identify; however if it was them, they did not leave me a message to call them back. If they had left message, I would have certainly called back immediately. We were told on March 22, 2023 by ****, a claim reviewer, that our claim had been approved and we would be receiving a check in the amount of $2,719.24. They had deduced the cost of the pressure valve and that the check would be received by mail. We did receive a check, dated 16 May 2023, in the amount of $1,479.00. No explanation why they shorted ** $1,240.24. I can not understand why this company has a good rating with Better Business Bureau. Surely if they treat ** like they have treated **, they treat others the same. If we do not get in writing why the check was short from what we had been told was approved, we will be contacting the Arkansas ************************* about the business.

      Water is backing up into my basement because we have roots growing in the sewer pipe so everything keeps getting caught on them and blocking the pipe up. So for a week now weve been going to relatives house to shower/do clothes etc.(family of 4) weve been waiting for the claim to go through because we can NOT use water or it comes out the toilet/sink in my basement, its absolutely disgusting and we cannot afford to pay this much money all at once thats why we have this protection. A ignorant ****** lady called this morning and denied the claim (with attitude) how you gonna call ME with attitude? Oh and she has the nerve to tell me that my water pipe isnt clogged and I have running water?!?!?! Wtf ?????? While Im ****** off because her attitude and my claim being denied but while ** trying to ask questions shes talking over me and then SHE says your not gonna talk to me like that and hangs up!! I have a few questions I want answers too? How can I pay for this service and then be denied this service? This program is called water and sewer pipe PROTECTION! So why are you not PROTECTING my sewer pipe when I really need it? If this service is through American water why are THEY allowing this third company to come in and do this to their customers? Someone needs to shut this company down! This is a legal SCAM!!!! I also have all my family/friends/neighbors thinking AWR are coming to my house to cut a piece of pipe out (the root problem area like I WAS TOLD WOULD HAPPEN) so this will get spread around to everyone I know and everyone they know. I cant wrap my head around paying for a service and getting denied that service? A PAID program promising water and sewer pipe protection and not holding up their end? How are they not shut down yet and I see from all the other comments we arent the only ones so that says a lot about this company! Well at this point all I can say is BEWARE of this company and if your thinking about it ?? DONT do it!!!

      Dontt ever use AWR and their sub contractors. Ultimate Plumming does not care and never follows thru with any of their messy work that they were supposed to do when originally called. I still have a sink hole in my driveway that that came 4 times to throw dirt and gravel to mend it. I do not have faith in AWR either as the second representative I spoke with hung up on me.
