1 starI signed up for waterline protection program on 3/9/21.The monthly price was to be $5.85.Starting 07/22, they QUIETLY raised the price by 30% to $7.45!From 03/23, they changed the price to $12.80. More than double the initial price - WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OR PROVIDING AN OPTION TO CANCEL.I called them on 4/29/23. They had no explanation but said they would change the price to $6.49 and refund the excess amount charged from 07/22.I called them again on 5/6/23 to check on the issue.They told me without any explanation that NO refund was due and the person I spoke with lied. This was blatant robbery!This company is clearly running a bait & switch scam. They low ball an offer and WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION, raise the prices significantly. They provide no explanation and have the audacity to deny refunds for the amounts charged fraudulently.

So, a very rude lady named ****** called. She provided no explanation for the price increases, lack of notices or any apology. Like a broken record, she kept repeating that no refund was due even though they stole my money. Icing on the cake was her hanging up on me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY. I am filing a Small Claims case against them and advise all others who have been scammed to do the same.American Water Resources, LLC

As mentioned above, your representative repeats the same thing over and over again without addressing the **** your company is perpetrating on thousands of customers. It is shocking that such a fraud is blatantly going on. The only way this issue can be resolved is by refunding the money your company has stolen from me. The problem remains unresolved and will be settled in a Small Claims court.Review fromVaun D

1 starThis company is the worst insurance provider (if you don't want to call it scam), They don't have transparent billing practices. They are doing business under the different legitimate company called "American Water". Here is what happened with me. I enrolled into "Water and Sewer line protection" in 2021, for 2 properties, for just around $12 per month. Last year, they increased the price to $18. Just 3 months ago, they increased the price to $29 . When I realized that, I had already paid $29 for 3 months. I called them, ******** service agent told me that it was increase for ALL customers because the contractors they use have raised their price. But They were still charging me $18 for my other property which is within 5 min walking distance of 1st property. I asked him about the difference, and he put me on long hold, came back and said that it is because for 1st property, I am paying my premium with utility bill payment and for 2nd property I am paying by Credit card. What at ridiculous explanation ? Usually vendor charges you more for using credit card than online bill payment via bank, but in this case it is opposite, you know why ? Because people usually don't look at utility bill because they think it might be due to increased water usage, but they keep an eye on credit card charges. So it is easy for them to start charging more on utility bill because less people will notice it. I was not satisfied with his answer.I called them again, this time a woman, she said that she cant issue me refund because they never issue refund, their system doesn't just allow to issue refund. She said I should have read the terms and condition and hung up on me.$30/month ($360 annually) just for water and sewer protection for **** sq feet condo ? My property insurance costs me just $250 annually just for the reference. This company is a scam.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starI have contacted this agency for the past few days 5/1/23 and 5/2/23 via telephone and text, and they continue to deny my claims. I explained that I continue having an issue with the lines backing up into my basement. They denied my claims 3x (never even showed up, just denied to dispatch someone). I asked to speak to a supervisor and have not heard back. This is extremely frustrating being that they are associated with DEP in ***. I'm paying them for their service, and never send out dispatchers to assess the problem. They have the worst customer service.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starThey are LIARS. A lawsuit is in order. Mom's policy says 24/7 emergency service. It's Sunday, sewer backup at her house, AWR was just like "sorry....no one available to help". I now have to drive 6 hours round trip to manage this problem myself. AWR will have to reimburse me for my time and expenses. 2 starsI purchased this from a flyer sent to me by our natural gas supplier. I would swear in any court the flyer said it would cover up to $10,000 to repair or replace the serer line and up to $5,000 for landscaping. There was a back-up into the house so we called. Someone was sent that day. They stayed late into the night trying to rectify the problem. Long story short, the company water resources sent, finally found the pipe, after digging up shrubs and grass. They managed to get the pipe open temporarily. The plumber said he had to file with Water resources for approval to finish the job. That was a huge, long circus. In short, it was 2 weeks, still no response to my calls from the plumber. I called Water Resources and ultimately they offered to settle and I could call any plumber I wanted to finish the job. But wait. Come to find out they only pay a MAXIMUM of $4,000.00 for any one incident. The estimate to complete the job could be up to $7,000.00!!!!Finally I heard back from the original plumber with a lower estimate. After having looked up reviews for them, I am not sure he would be the first, best choice.We signed the settlement paper and Water Resources said the check would be sent that following Friday. That was 2 weeks ago.I called yesterday and I have no civil words to say about the customer service. what a joke. My ** was probably off the charts. I asked the rep if the check had been mailed. He said it takes 4-6 weeks. I told him we had been told it would be mailed last Friday. He said it takes 4-6 weeks to arrive. I asked him since when does it take 4-6 weeks for a letter to go through ***** Believe me, it went downhill from there.I asked to speak to a supervisor. He put me on hold, waited and couple of minutes and said the supervisor would call me back. HA! I have 2 other home warranty policies, and while they are a hassle to deal with, they are polite and true to their word. This company is infuriating!American Water Resources, LLC

1 starWeve been paying for 5 different protection programs for years. The InHome plumbing is a waste of money and time trying to resolve a leak under sink. Contractors assigned dont do this or that, or are out of service area. **** spent countless hours trying to get help and/or a supervisor AND someone who understands issues.American Water Resources, LLC

We also was told the check was on its way, then the check was in someones desk and still in processing, or someone would call us back, which never happened. We are not impressed with the customers service, we cannot even get to the claims department, it has been a frustrating situation. We did receive the phone call, but not email from them. I tried call **** back, but there is no way to leave a message. The phone call stated that the statement was illegible, after they have had the paperwork since 09/2022. We have sent another email to ******* Water Resources with all the documents again for the third time along with a legible invoice, today. I hope this is suffice.Review fromY. C.

1 starOn Tuesday April 18, 2023, Called the company my sewer was backed up and my basement was filling up with sewage. Dialed the number 3 times I was disconnected. The 4th time i spoke with *******. He needed to transfer me to the ************* representative. I was on the telephone with him for 20 minutes while he was trying to get a representative. He did return frequently to tell me that it would take only another 2 minutes to transfer me to a representative. After 20 minutes he told me that he could not reach anyone and that he suggests that I send the company an email. Clearly, it's a ridiculous solution. I should send an email while my basement is filling up with sewage, really. Needless to say, I called Roto Rooter. I will give my $200 renewal fee to Roto Rooter instead. I will not renew my fake contract. By the way I concur with **** C complain. The exact same thing happened to me. Why not give the supervisors name if the company feels that decision was the correct one?American Water Resources, LLC

2 starsI have had 7 policies with them for over 7 years. I put in about 3 calls with service requests. No one ever called from any of the service companies they said they put calls in to. They told me to hire my own and get a reimbursement. Well that was a nightmare. It was for a mini-split a/c unit repair. Took 13 months after they said many times the check was on the way. I cancelled all of my policies with after this. Oh and that was a nightmare too. They locked me out of my web account. Then told me it was cancelled but keeps charging!!! 16 months later and still no refund after continuous charging my cancelled policy!! I had to close my bank account to stop them!!
