1 starWe are very disappointed with the customer service with America ***************************************. Signed up for their service for a year sent in a cashier check because we refuse to give them out credit card information so they accepted it same as cash. Can't get anybody who speaks good English and have the answers to my questions. I tried to register an account online and had a problem with that. Called all 3 numbers with no luck after an hour and a half on the phone with 3 different people that knew nothing. I explained to them all that their website did not have a link on their website that says (PAY YOUR BILL) which is not due until November 2025 and they couldn't even fix that. Their website looks like s SCAM. I will not be renewing with this company (A VERY DISAPPOINTED HOMEOWNERS. Nobody should have to go through this at all while spending their money. My concern is if we are having these issues what would happen if we had to file a claim. Would we have to jump through these kind of hoops ?? I DON'T THINK SO). We are so disappointed with this companyReview fromElaine B

1 starI filed a claim on 7/10, AWR assigned a plumber to the job and I am still waiting for someone to do something on 7/24. My water will be shut off by the water company on 7/31 so I don't have much time left. No one can let me know when and if the job will be done.I am so sorry I bought this insurance.American Water Resources, LLC

Dear ******,
We are truly sorry to hear about your recent experience with your plumbing claim. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused. We reviewed your account and see that work has begun by a local plumbing company. We are going to investigate this further and make things right. We will reach out to you within the next 24 hours so we can discuss your concerns in more detail.
Kind Regards,
The American Water Resources Team

1 starIf I could leave zero star I would. I have a water line leak in front of my house. I have had American Water Resources for about 5 years now and never had to file a claim. I filed a claim to fix my water line yesterday. The company they assigned to fix the leak has a F rating on the BBB. KEEPE Up reviews are horrendous. All reviewers say they would give a zero if allowed. American Water Resources will not send any other company to fix the water line. They would rather deal with a horrible company. So American water resources will lose my business since they don't care to have reputable companies do work for them.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starI would preface this by saying I am a claims adjuster. Upon finding I had a clogged line I sent for maintenance, and the plumber told me I have a cracked line. I sat down and read my policy in its entirety and cracked plumbing is a covered loss. I contacted the online support, explained there was no current backup but the pipe was cracked, would this be a covered loss? I was told yes - cracked sewer lines is a covered loss. The plumber on site snaked the lines because my family still has to live here. I called the claim in, explained no backup but a cracked pipe has been found. The representative said it was a covered loss, and scheduled their plumbing vendor to come out.Their vendor comes out and says "Oh, the line is cleared and since there's no backup there is nothing we can do here."I am confused as to what I'm paying for. I will revisit the policy language this weekend and see if if I will have to seek legal counsel. I hate to be one of those people, but the policy language doesn't say anything about having to have an active backup.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starMonthly premium was doubled. When I phoned them to cancel I find out their calls are outsourced to a call center in ********. Communication was very bad. What I did understand was "I will continue to get billed until the end of their billing cycle which would be a few months".....what??!! I was put on hold for 5 minutes at a time (three times) in hopes I would hang up. ******American Water Resources, LLC

1 starMy Mother Has Been Fighting With This Company For 3 Months Trying To Get The Sewer Line Repaired. The Company Has Dispatched At Least 5 Pluming Company To Make Assessments On The Problem, And Each Company Came To The Same Conclusion. If She's Paying For Water And Sewer Line Insurance, Why Haven't They Did The Work That Needs To Be Done Yet? It's Overwhelming Knowing The Company Is Not Honoring What They're Selling. I'm Praying Her Problem Get Resolved Soon, I To See Her Stressing Over The Problem.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starI have attempted to cancel my plan with AWR after they rejected an online claim regarding damage to my covered sewer line. The policy is written in such a way that practically nothing is covered. I have been billed twice since attempting to cancel the first time. And there is no online documentation of a claim filed or a policy cancellation request filed in May and again today July 17th.American Water Resources, LLC

1 starI've paid a monthly fee for AWR's water and sewage insurance coverage for almost a decade. I figured it was worth the expense in case a larger plumbing issue should come up. Well I've just spent the past several days being given the runaround by *** ***resentatives (when I could even get them on the phone), told my claim would have to be escalated to a CA *** who would get back to me by email or phone (never did), then be told by the plumber they sent to evaluate the leak (a damaged toilet wax ring) that such a problem wasn't covered and that I'd have to make the ***air myself. When I tried (AGAIN) to get information about the coverage I was told (AGAIN) that they'd have someone "get back to me" (NEVER DID, AGAIN). This company has TERRIBLE customer service, TERRIBLE lines of communication, TERRIBLE everything. What a waste of money, but ****** learned. *** was recommended to me by **** (I'm an alumni) as a program they endorsed and which should therefore be considered trustworthy. Again, ****** LEARNED. Note: I will say that the plumber they contracted to send to me was a very nice a professional man whom I may very well hire to fix the wax ring. But as far as getting any reimbursement for the work from ***, forget about it. I only wish I could have my wasted money and time back, and that other non-suspecting prospective *** customers can learn from my mistake.American Water Resources, LLC
