1 starA few months ago we purchased a new home in our 55+ community and decided to install LeafGuard gutters. We discovered online that Leaf Guard of ****** was the company that currently installs LeafGuard gutters. We met with a Leaf Guard of ****** representative who walked around home and measured our gutter needs, showed us the gutters and downspouts and discussed our cost bid. The gutters and downspouts shown to us looked like the same LeafGuard gutters we had installed in our previous home by a company that no longer services ******; hence, we decided to once again install LeafGuard gutters. We were not told that the downspouts were no longer tapered into the grounding receptacles; we discovered at installation that our gray downspouts were changed to go into an ugly, plastic transition ring that only came in white or black. We were also not informed that this installation of LeafGuard gutters would expose the shiny roof flashing over the top of the gutters and the unpainted surfaces under the gutters. We had just spent a lot of money re-landscaping and painting the exterior of our home and this gutter installation by Leaf Guard of ****** has totally negated the aesthetics of our forever home. We called Leaf Guard of ****** to discussed these issues, express our dissatisfaction and asked who was going to pay for the painters to return to paint the roof flashing and under the gutters and we were told they were not painters and it was up to ** to have it painted. Leaf Guard of ******** ended our call with I will send you a **** gift for $100what an insult! We paid almost $12,000 and was left with a botched, embarrassing installation on our once beautiful home! We will NEVER recommend Leaf Guard of ****** to anyone; in fact, we have added this company to the Do Not Use list at our HOA *****************Review fromMichael Y

1 starWe have received two solicitations for estimates via U.S. Mail this year (one in March and one in June). The strange thing is that the company name appears on their solicitation as Leafguard (one word) whereas their name on the BBB website (same address) is LeafGuard. Also their return address on the solicitation is **************, **, but the letter is signed by the Regional Manager, Leafguard of Chicago and their corporate office on the BBB website is **************, **. Phone number shown on the BBB website is an 888 (toll-free number) and the phone number on the solicitation is a 312 area code (Chicago). Because of past negative experience, we do not do business or seek estimates from companies that conduct this type of marketing. We attempted to send a message in March via their website to request removal from their mailing list, but could not send it as the sender is required to check a box that agrees to further solicitations. After reading the BBB reviews for this company, we respectfully request that the BBB contact this company for us to expedite removal of our name and address as follows from their mailing list. Thank you.The Yazbec Family ********************************************************* ****Review fromSharon F

1 starI am so disgusted with this company...we had gutters installed I believe in 2019 AND PAID IN FULL !!!! Probably a big mistake.....we had a crew out three times to fix a leaking gutter in the front and for the last few years we have had water flooding our basement because the drain was installed too close to the window well...I have mold in my basement walls I called week before last and an appointment was set for last week at around 5:30 PM...at 6 I called the service person ( after no response on the phone and could not leave a message as he box was full ) and told him it was too late and we would have to set up another appointment..he said he would have his manager call me the next day ( Thursday ) and set up another time..I waited around all day and NO PHONE CALL...I called the office on Thursday and was told it was fixed on Wednesday..I exp;lained to her IT WAS NOT FIXED !!! She was going to turn in a complaint and someone would get back to me on Friday......NOTHING.....I called again today and gave the info AGAIN...I guess the issue is DON"T PAY IN FULL.....because if you don't owe them any money, they don't owe you any service !!!!!!!Review fromJanice K

Highly recommended from me ??Review fromSang G

2 starsBe wary of Sales. They are not transparent in all the fees and work, and will "omit" a lot of information. For my personal experience, the Sales rep ********* made the pitch sound like all of the fascia wood behind the gutters was rotted and would be replaced, however in reality they only replaced a 10-ft section. Additionally they pitched that Leafguard will remove the gutters should you ever need to paint the house, but failed to mention that there will be a (pricey minimum) fee for dispatch. Installers were knowledgeable and did a good job with the install, however left dozens of screws & nails around the house (including the 6-inch nails, kind of hard to miss). Very aggressive sales tactic and said things like "it's time to grow up" and rush you through signing paperwork saying "it's just standard stuff". Poor communication post-sales as well.Overall gutters work but would not have paid x4 the cost of other systems if we'd known fascia wood not be replaced. System was installed 4 weeks ago, we reached out and offered to discuss a service contract as compromise before leaving a review to no avail, interestingly it looks like lots of first-time reviewers are now leaving ****** reviews (most of them before the install itself), I'd guess that they're offering a discount for positive reviews.Review fromSusan K

1 starIronic that we purchased this product so that my 70+ year old husband wouldn't be up on a ladder, and today he had to go up a ladder to REPAIR their product. The lifetime warranty is a joke. The first winter after install the product popped off the gutters. We call, and they say that isn't covered under the warranty. Apparently the warranty only covers leaves not getting into the gutters. Anything else that goes wrong....it's your own problem! So, either a $99 service call plus cost of repairs or my husband is back up on the ladder. Wish I had reviewed all these negative reviews prior to purchasing. Interesting that their website has many positive reviews, but no option to submit a new one. They would not like mine!Review fromJulianna F

1 starWe finally had gutters installed in April of 2023 after being rescheduled many times. The crew ******* didn't call to reschedule, until after the date they were scheduled to do the work. We explained that we wanted them to come when one of us would be home since we have pets and they would be affected. After the work was done we were told by the crew that their ******* would come out and inspect their work. That never transpired, and there were also issues as to what was to be included per the original quote. We have had other companies and contractors do work on our home and other buildings and we have been very pleased with them. I can honestly say that I have never dealt with such a rude, unprofessional company before this one. I only wish that I had done more research before deciding to have work done by them.Review fromDebra P

1 starAfter googling and calling what appeared to be a local gutter repair/installation company we started getting numerous calls per day from LeafGuard. The rep came quickly to give a quote, spent 2 hours with my spouse in a high pressure sales pitch starting with a quote of over $10K and ending with $8K. Rep appeared irritated when we did not immediately contract for the job, explaining that we were simply obtaining estimates. We ended up contracting with a local company for the exact some gutters for the entire house for $2700. BTW: The quote from LeafGuard was $8K for the back of the house only. We feel this is very deceptive adverstising which borders on SCAM.Review fromBetty D

1 starMy now 85 year old mother got LeafGuard roughly 2 years ago so she no longer had to clean out her gutters after my fathers passing. After the installation upon the first rain fall, my mother noticed the gutters were leaking in several places. After several attempts to contact LeafGuard she finally was contacted. When a representative came out, they werent there long enough to identify the issue. This was one of many times they were called back with no prevail to the issues. Then it snowed and she got ice dams that had to be chiseled away by family. She became so frustrated with the lack of professionalism and nobody was fixing her issues that she had the gutters removed and replaced with different ones. She is still paying off her ***** dollar bill for gutters that did not meet their qualifications as they claimed. We feel she should get some restitution for thiswith the many attempts to get a hold of them and nobody returning her calls. We took several videos of the damage.Review fromRodney A

1 starInstalledLeaf Guard in May 2022. Installed quickly. First rain we had, water ran out at 1 of the corner joints. Also water dripped all along roof over patio. In June a different crew stopped to repair leak. They couldn't repair because water was standing in th gutter at that corner and needed to have more done than they were prepared for. This crew ****** was very critical of the quality of the instillation. Said the drip cap should have been replaced and gutter over patio needed drip cap. A couple of weeks later the original crew came back. They wanted to put a down spout that would run directly onto the driveway which would mean ice in the winter. I didn't let them do this and they were upset about this. They did put in another down spout that had been recommended in the original plan. The smeared caulking along the patio gutter that just made fewer but larger drips. In July they sent crew that put up new drip cap, repaired the caulking mess on patio. They poured water in the gutter after repairing and water didn't stand. Felt like the problem was solved. When it rained the corner still leaked and we had a new leak in corner by front door. I notified Leaf Guard but because it was getting into winter I didn't expect much till spring. It's now April 2023 and I call and left messages twice and have sent 3 text messages including pictures and have not received any calls or text. I agree that ice is problem also.
