I purchased a $100.00 ********** (in-store only) giftcard from CardCash.com on 01/20/2024 (Order #*******). On 02/27/2024 (38 days later) I visited an ********** for the 1st time in 2 years and attempt to use the giftcard, only to discover it has a $0 balance!CardCash.com has a 45 Day Money Back Guarantee:"100% Risk Free 45 Day Money Back Guarantee on All Discounted Gift Cards CardCash customers use pre-owned discounted gift cards to save you money on everything they buy. We offer a 100% guarantee that every gift card you purchase from CardCash will be valid at the merchant and for the dollar amount specified on your order for a full 45 days from the date of purchase. If you encounter a card with a balance discrepancy within 45 days of your purchase, contact us immediately for a full refund."On 02/27/2024 I followed CardCash's instructions and contacted their claim's department *********************************** about the discrepancy. On the same day I got a reply saying an investigation had been initiated (request #******) and to allow them 3-5 business days to conduct a review. On 03/04/2024 (44 days after purchase) I received a notice that my giftcard had been used on 02/08/2024 and they promptly closed my claim without waiting for a reply. I told them it wasn't me and suggested it was whoever sold the card as is apparently common on their website (see quote below)."The two most common reasons gift cards lose their balance are: (1) The card was purchased with a stolen credit card and subsequently canceled by the issuing company. (2) The original owner used the card number after selling it to CardCash."Business Response

Order number: ******* I have a gift card from Nordstrom that I never use so I decided to sell it somewhere for cash. I checked the balance before doing so and confirmed the amount. I stumbled upon cardcash. I did all the process including entering all the information and received an email that it was being reviewed. The next day I received an email that it is being cancelled. I called cardcash and they told me that the reason was because of the zero balance on the card. They suggested that I should call the merchant which I did and found out that card had zero balance and was used in a place hundreds miles away from me.Business Response

I'm not a scammer there's no reason for my purchases to be cancelled. I recently sent in four gift cards to sell. I verified the balances on all of them and they were all sent in the same envelope. I got an email saying that the $50 gift card I sent in had a zero balance on it, despite the fact that I verified the balance before sending the card in. They also claimed that they did not receive two of the four cards that I sent despite all four cards being sent in the same envelope. They are, of course, denying that the $50 gift card has money on it and continue saying that two of the four cards were not received, complete lies. I'm considering involving law enforcement.Business Response

We have successfully verified and processed payment for three out of the four cards you submitted.
However, upon verification, we found that the **** $50 card you provided has a zero balance.
It seems there might have been a misunderstanding or an issue with the card you received. We kindly suggest reaching out to the source from which you obtained the card to address this matter further. This company apparently allows you to sell unwanted gift cards for cash but, a card I added o my account with them to sell sent me through a loop saying I have to pay $1 for some type of holding fee. They took a dollar once and did not give me the cash for the card and each time I tried to go to the sell the card option it asked for another $1. When I contacted them I received a response that had nothing to do with the $1 hold on my checking account. It has been close to a month now. I think they are a scam and want my $1 back from them.Business Response

Hi,
The $1.00 charge you noticed on your credit card is just a standard temporary authorization and has been voided.

I went to sell a giftcard online on 01/28/2024. The verification process was taking longer than expected, so I canceled the sale. I then went on to check the balance of my giftcard and it had been completely drained! CardCash never sent that my offer was accepted and will not answer and support message now after running away with my $200 gift card!Business Response

I sold a gift card to CardCash on 11/22/2023. I was paid for the gift card. On -1/16/24 I received an email from someone named ***** with CardCash stating that she is reaching out to me for an important matter regarding the gift card and to respond to the email to discuss this issue.I responded on the same day - 01/16/24 and never heard back.On 01/23/24 I received another email from ***** stating that after reaching out to you several times it has become apparent that you are unwilling to work with us in resolving your open balance. Due to the nature of the claim and your continued failure to respond, if you dont reply by the end of the week we will escalate this matter to an outside collection agency.I responded to her again. I am not sure what she is to asking about, I dont have a balance? I did not purchase anything from them and I do not appreciate the harassment, the threats and the blatant disregard to my email communication back.Business Response
