I stopped by our local Krispy Kreme on 9/27/25 at around 11:45 am only to discover that all the donut cases were empty. I asked if they had any donuts in the back, and they said the only two types they had available were plain glazed and a few pumpkin spice. I asked why they didnt have any other donuts, and the girl just replied I don't know. I ended up buying a dozen donuts. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that they were day-old donuts! Definitely not fresh. It was too late to go back and return them, but I was very disappointed that they were selling day-old donuts. I placed an order through the Krispy Kreme app on September 22, 2025, order #*****************. A promo code (BOGO2) was correctly applied at checkout. While adjusting the delivery date, the Krispy Kreme app automatically removed the discount without notifying me. When I completed the order, I was charged about $20 more than the correct discounted total. The app provided no option to cancel immediately after processing. This is a billing error, as I never authorized payment at the higher non-discounted price. I am requesting a refund of the overcharge.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
When I filed my original BBB complaint, I focused on the billing error because I hadnt examined the donuts closely at that time. After receiving and opening them, I found the glaze was wet and messy, and they did not look or taste fresh. While I appreciate the $20 refund, I feel the quality of the product was far below Krispy Kremes standards. This issue is specifically unique to the Krispy Kreme location I received my delivery order from (****************************************************************), as this location does not produce the donuts on site and receives them elsewhere. For this reason, I do not feel satisfied with the overcharge refund.Business Response

transaction date 8/25/25 @ appx 11:53 am #*****. Adress of store: **************************************************************. That store phone #: **********. I tried to access my account internet app for Krispy Kreme as I sat in front of this store. It took me thru several steps, then wouldn't let me log on, then blew up the app, then said to call the company number ***********. Did so, they said would file report, & someone will contact me. In the meantime they said go into store, show them your phone, & they would be able to help. Did so, mgr tried to help me, did try to get on their app on my phone, and the app completely went nuts and completely destroyed. The mgr fell sorry for me and helped me get some donuts without the app. The mgr there is Mr. ******** **** is a great employee as helped while the national organization did nothing. I then call H/Q again next day *& still no help. Again repeated that in the next 2 days, no help. Finally went back again (it is 50 miles 1 way thus 100 miles round trip for me), and mgr again Mr ******** again helped me because the app was still destroyed. One call I made to H/Q 9/3/25 at 8:10 got me to *** *********** Supervisor Call Ctr. She said my phone number is my case number & did a direct line to supervisor and escalated my report. I also again to please be put on their physical **** mail so I could get a hard copy of the coupons available. and someone would call me back & handle the problem along with helping me reset my Krispy Kreme app so I could access my coupons. Called them today, finally got "Ms ***** very nice lady, explained situation, updated correct email address. She said would escalate complaint, again put me down for **** mail to my home address, have someone email, phone call me with update. We ordered the specialty ***** ****** donuts online, drove 35 min to and waited 30 min in drive through to get to the window, only to be told there are no ***** ****** donuts. They said they would refund the order. We asked for a receipt. They said no, we just wait for the email. Yes. Im just very disappointed with Krispy Kreme. When we you guys have a speciality donut that is a popular theme its never in stock at your stores. You have one of the biggest themes being ***** ******. I ordered it on the app because it said it was available so I placed my order. The driver gets there and says its not available. Im also upset because the app doesnt allow you to cancel through it. I placed my order before 8am and to cancel it I had to wait until 8am est to get customer support on the line to cancel my order. Now thats ridiculous as the driver is now stuck in limbo because I cant immediately cancel it. The customer service *** was nice and canceled the order to get it refunded and express that a lot of people want these donuts. Why didnt you as a company do a better job when this promotion came out. How is the store out of this. Only a few people have been able to get this donut as stores run out before they even open. I guess I wont get a chance to try these before the promotion is over with.Business Response

Today is 8/23/25 at 8:40pm. We pulled up in the drive through and all the lights were on. Online hours said the establishment was open until 9pm. We waited, and no one acknowledged our presence. (Lights are still on). Another car pulled up behind us. I urged my son to pull up to the window thinking maybe the speaker wasnt working. We did, and as soon as we got up to the window, someone turned all the lights off. The car behind us got impatient and drove off. Inside, we could see the slushy machine still on, as well as the computer screen. Obviously, whoever was closing decided they didnt want to serve customers anymore. Lousy service to say the least. We dont get to visit very often, so we were very disappointed at how we were untreated.Business Response

Local Krispie Kreme in *************** has not had ANY of the past 6 Limited time only donuts.. EVER. I have personally checked every day during each of the last 6 series, they were not available ONCE, AT ALL, NEVER. They were not available in the *** dozen, nor in the Build your own dozen. Unfortunately, we only have ONE store in the surrounding 50 miles. Not to mention, this store rarely even has the classic assortments, rarely has any variety of donut holes. On any given day, there might be 5 donuts to choose from. They never have cake batter, lemon filled, cake glazed, or custard filled. Stopped in store at 3:45 pm on Thursday to purchase the 1 doz and get a doz. I was told they didn't have any glazed doughnuts at the time, that it would be about 30 minutes. I left and went to another store and came back 1 hour later still no glazed doughnuts. My family and I waited for 2 hours (6:16 pm) for glazed doughnuts. We were told the person who usually does this job had been terminated. This is inexcusable for someone to wait this long , we were not offered a drink, free had dozen or anything. The doughnuts were fresh but half glazed, which changed the taste of the product. I know things happen but this is not good at all. I spent my hard earned money for my desert for the rest of the week and it wasn't good at all. i highly disappointed!Business Response
