      I went to food Lion on ************** in ******* ga on May 17 2025 and my total came to $78.88 and I paid $65.83 with EBT which would leave my total $20.17 before tax $21.88 after tax added . Somehow food Lion charged me $35.88 which is $14 .00 tax . I'm uploading images of my receipt . When I went back to the store the rude manager basically said oh well

      So I order groceries from them they never delivered to me and I was told a excuse and I had call third party that's when I was told truth and I was told couple days I was goin get my money back in couple days and haven't received no refund and it goin on couple weeks

      While shopping at the store, during checkout, I observed a white customer come in to complain about two Hispanic women in the parking lot. The Manager appeared to overreact and was empowered to rush these ladies off of the parking lot. I felt very saddened by the interaction, even more so by how quickly your associates wanted to run them off. This appeared to be racially driven.I was also very saddened that there were no rotiserrie chickens available at 6pm. I had to replan my entire meal on a strict budget because there were none available.

      Every single time I try to use the app at either Food Lion in the ******** area, it never works. This is so frustrating. I have my coupons clipped and have earned money that I cant use because the wi-fi doesnt work. Why offer this if you cant make it work?!?!?!

      On 04/19/2025 at 11:15 AM I went to the ****************************************** to purchase a Food Lion Portion Ham that was advertised at $0.89 per pound on an online store weekly ad circular. Screenshot of this ad enclosed. When attempting to purchase this item for the sale price they attempted to charge $1.29 per pound. I talked to the meat market manager about this and he claimed that the store had no such sale. This is false advertising. I live 18 miles away from this store (one way) and I went there specifically for this ham. I want to store to honor their advertisements and I seek for them to provide a ham for me at their advertised sale price.

      I purchased a box of ****** eye drops. The box was thrown amongst all my other products and destroyed. And although that may seem minor, I wanted to return the product for an exchange. The employee whom was the "grocery manager " refused to refund or exchange the product despite the policy and made blatant insinuations in front of my 3 children that the item was not paid for. He then tried to refer to the company as if its structure was a franchise and not a corporation. When asked about his reason, he inferred again about "no proof of purchase for such a small and valueless item." He was not helpful and neither was his assistant manager "Queen". Whose name he refused to disclose. The whole interaction was embarrassing and a waste of my time. Considering the policy states that the return was a valid return. He refused to honor the policy despite knowing that's what the policy stated. Which leads me to believe he profiled me.

      On SATURDAY, 2/15/25 I placed an order for grocery pickup in the amount of $379.05. A hold was placed on my bank account for $409.37. A few hours later I received a text from Food Lion stating there were technical issues and that my order was canceled and my charges should be reversed in 24 hours. Charges were not reversed in that time frame. I gave a few more days and contacted my bank. There was nothing they could do, the charge is still showing as pending and they stated I need to contact Food Lion. When I contacted Food Lion on THURSDAY, the *** seemed like she couldn't care less and that I needed to wait 3-5 business days for the refund. It is ridiculous for a refund to take this long to clear. It is causing me to be late on other bills and not be able to get the needed groceries for my family. I have shopped at Food Lion for years, but I can't afford for something like this to happen again. I understand that technical difficulties happen, but they need to review things with their credit card processor so as not to add undue stress on their customers. We live paycheck to paycheck and I'm stressing myself sick over this.

      In reviewing order m639408011 originally submitted on February 15, 2025, we have confirmed any pre-authorization amount has since been removed. If this amount remains pending from the customers bank, the account holders bank will ultimately release the hold amount. All orders are pre-authorized up to 110% of the submitted order amount. This is a hold only and not a charge. Pre-authorizations are automatically released upon any cancellation and sent to the cardholders bank to finalize the release.


      We have also verified the submission of order #m647745229 scheduled for February 17, 2025 in which a preauthorization amount of $100.98 was held. This amount has since been released to the bank as well.


      We regret any concerns resulting from the conversation with our customer care representative and will review the recordings and coach accordingly. We value the feedback we receive from our customers and remain committed to a helpful experience.


      At this time, we are not showing any amount held in the amount of $409.37 in our system as it has since been released. Since this a held amount only and not a charge as previously noted, we are unable to refund any amount not charged.

      I placed a to go order, and my daughter went to pick it up, food lion associate slammed her truck lid, when she got home we could not get it opened. We worked over 45 mins trying, I called store, they made us come back, which was another trip, they got the trunk opened. All our frozen, meats, and dairy items was left in temps above what is consider safe! They were out for 3+ hours as we live 35 mins away! They only gave us one bag of ice to put on the spoiled food to drive back home with a broken truck now, that we have to fix and they gave us a 25-dollar gas card to to shell and I don't even know of a shell gas station anywhere even near us, and that wouldn't even cover the gas she used for all the trips back and forth each time! I want my money back for all the food that was left out over 3+ hours! I also think they should have to pay to fix her truck from breaking something in the latch from slamming it, cause its always worked fine before today!! I want the money back for all the spoiled food and money for the latch for her car truck! IF not at least the money back for all the perishable food that we cannot and will not consume cause its not safe after 3 hours! Check with food and safety they will tell you!! We had to bungie strap her truck to even get it to close so she could get home!

      Please close this complaint. Since I have filed this claim they have called my wife's cellphone a total of 6 times from that store and they will either hang up soon as we answer or they will make up stupid things to ask us, like did you just call here or are you the one that called about the phone and then they slam the phone down on us. This place is downright horrible. I don't want no more communication from them at all. I am done and I will never take my business there again, as they do not care one bit and my wife had to block the store number on her cellphone (since this is the number associated with the Food lion account), so they will stop calling us with nonsense calls. When we did call them the first time about the trunk issue and the guy there named *********** was so down right rude to my wife it was unreal, he spoke so down to her it was extremely uncalled for. So we wish this case to be closed so maybe then they will stop harressing us. Thank you!
