I visited the store at ******************************** to pick up a couple of items. When I tried to scan the first item using the flat bed scanner it would not scan. There had been a lady assisting another customer and when she was done I tried to get her attention, but she just walked away. I very politely called her three times before she turned and barked "WHAT" at me. When I told her that the item would not scan she walked back again, this time saying very rudely "Oh yes it does." She grabbed the item from me, walked to the side of the machine and used the hand held scanner. "She then goes "See" and then leans in and makes the rudest and most insulting comment I have ever heard a customer service person make. "I don't know what that s*** is but it smells pretty strong." Now I consider myself a very clean person. I had showered and put on clean clothes so I apologize if my odor offended her. However I had just helped a neighbor who had passed away family clean out their apartment. Due to a near fatal bout of Typhus Fever I have no sense of smell. If I picked up an odor that offended her I apologize. But that gives her no right to attack, insult and disrespect me. As a result of this I will never enter a Food Lion again. I am in fear of being so viciously attacked again. And they call this customer service?Food Lion, LLC Response

I no longer buy my lamb chops there when you open the package they really stink bad I can go somewhere else and buy lamb chops and they're fine also to the watermelon that's cut up in a container I've thrown more than twice containers out because it's bad just saying!Food Lion, LLC Response

Selling fried chicken that wasn't done. No response at all from cooperate called all day 2/9/24. But I put a picture on FB. No remorse at all, no response let's me know they do not care at all but want us to spend money there.Food Lion, LLC Response

I am so sick of food Lion advertising a special and then not having it in the store this week they advertise standing rib roast so that is what I planned for my Christmas dinner went to the store yesterday to get one none in the case like usual none in the case like usual talk to the butcher and he said they have been out of them they might get a case in tomorrow I asked how many in a case he said four this should be against the lawReview from Tammy S

I’m my mother was accosted and harassed at a check out by an irate customer having to wait in line. The manager was checking her out and allowed it to go on. Finally another lane was opened after 5 min. My mother is 82 years old. I called them and was told lies by the manager! Called corporate and they did nothing but call the store and have them call to apologize. lol. We will never be back !Review from JERSON D

Please be alert to the prices of promotional products at Food Lion, because you may be paying more. On Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 5:48 pm, I purchased at Food Lion #0197 1129 Weaver Dairy Rd Chapel Hill for $29.89, which included a promotion on an American cheese for $3.99 per pound; I had selected about a pound of this cheese and it would cost less than $3.99 in total. However, upon reviewing the purchase receipt, I realized they had charged me $5.99 per pound; instead of the promotion of $3.99 per pound. Given this situation, I returned to the place and told them about this case. The Manager decided that she would not give me the promotion price, and then I decided to return the cheeses and get back the money I had paid with my credit card. The manager told me she would refund me, and asked me to enter my credit card into the machine. However, the receipt she gave me needed to reflect the refund. Instead, my credit card had been charged with $9.06. In other words, I am losing the value of the refund $6.51 plus the $9.06. I am losing a little more than $15.39 with the taxes. I have photos of the promotion on the cheese, receipts, and my credit card statement to support this complaint.Review from Janie W

Saturday I placed an order using the Food Lion To Go feature. I initially planned on picking up the items but saw that delivery was an option. I selected delivery because it would allow me to run some errands and free up some time. The delivery window that I selected was between 1230-1:50pm. There were no options to select a 4 hour delivery window. My order arrived at 11:25am and sat outside unrefrigerated for over an hour. My order consisted of number of perishable items including meat, dairy, frozen, and produce. I submitted an issue ticket with Instacart which I didn’t realize was responsible for the delivery… and they told me they could provide me a $65 credit and free delivery on my next order over $35. Grocery delivery is not a service that use often and this would not benefit me because I am afraid to serve my family the perishable items that were out in the sun off of refrigeration. I requested to have that credit/ refund to be applied to my original payment method. They replied and told me that my delivery window was from 9:37am-1:50pm which makes no sense. I cannot believe that I’m having to go through this much hassle for someone to make this right. I believe the perishable items in my order should be refunded or I need to see a credit to be applied for me to see that it is visible. Who can make this right?
