      I signed up for trash and recycling service on my first home at the end of August/beginning of September. No documents were ever mailed or emailed about the start of my service after payment, but two bins were dropped off. I knew something may have been off because they both said Waste Management on them and when I called to see when a welcome package would be sent, the rep was surprised they had already come. Here is the issue: my regular trash has been picked up every week on Monday without issue; however, my recycling has not. It's supposed to be picked up every other Wednesday and of the 3 Wednesdays I have been in my house, it has never been picked up. I called a few times: Once to have on-demand service for the first week they missed. Second time was to follow-up about that service. The third time I called was to have my recycling service removed and refunded and for them to pick up the bin (which would require someone to come and empty it first). I was told that it would be picked up during the next scheduled pick-up and removal would take 7- 10 business days. The next scheduled pick-up came and went...called again and was basically told the same thing. This been has been on my curb as an eyesore going on a month and I keep getting the runaround. Lastly, my account only shows that there is recycling service, so this needs to be corrected to show what I actually have.

      We had service with GFL for recycling and trash service from February 2020 thru June 2021. We sold our home in June 2021, moved to ****************. We cancelled service for July 12, 2021, GFL picked up bins, and, closed our account. We were told we would receive a refund in the form of a physical check for the amount we had credited of *****. We never received it. I have called and attempted to find out what the problem is. The customer service is horrendous. I never get a straight answer, information I'm given is then deemed incorrect when I have to call back to inquire about delays. I have called many times and been told I will "receive my refund when I receive it." My most recent call as of the end of September 2022, I was told they were investigating why my refund was not issued, and, I would receive a follow up call. I have had no contact from GFL since. I call and am put on hold for 45 minutes to hours, waiting for someone to answer. I have sent inquiries through their help desk and heard nothing. I have attached account showing refund owed and account number.

      The week of 9/5/22 we received a letter from GFL informing us that our back door service was being terminated on 9/16/22. The letter stated that we would be receiving a refund prorated based on the dates of service that had been paid past 9/16/22. The letter did not indicate any action required by us to terminate service.
      On 9/21/22 I was charged an additional fee of over $200 for service 10/1-12/31/22 that they would not be providing. In previous attempts to resolve issues with this company, I have learned that they do not even look at requests submitted online. On 9/22 I attempted to call GFL, and after waiting on hold for over an hour, being hung up on once during that wait, I was told a refund for $236.15 was being issued. It is now 10/9/22 and I have not received any refund. I have attempted to call, but, again, suffering wait times of over an hour and being disconnected while waiting, I have yet to speak to anyone. This company is attempting to steal from me and make it impossible to resolve.

      I am rejecting this response because: when I previously spoke to a representative of GFL I was told it would take two weeks for my refund to be processed. Now I am being told 6-8 weeks to process my refund. There is no explanation for why it should take this long. I have no confidence they will do as they say.

      The complaint my family is making involves the weekly household trash collection. The business refuses to pick up the trash if the weather is too wet saying the truck may get stuck in the road. The truth is we go weeks without trash collection when the business could simply send a different truck less likely to get stuck. This day, August 18th, the road was a little wet but not too wet to prohibit their trash acquisition. They simply refuse because it is easier to let others suffer from weeks of refuse building up by their driveway. This is not the first offense and something needs to be done. I have tried my best to urge this business to come on dryer days, but they refuse to help. In addition to this, they refuse to refund or prorate my monthly payment. This is not a complicated matter to solve, but they simply refuse to help.

      At the end of July 2022, we discontinued business with the GFL Enviromental Trash Pickup Service. We have sent the company three (3) messages using their web site on August 11, 2022, we have sent multiple emails discontinuing the service, datated Aug 23, Sept 8 and Sept 19th. We have called the local and national telephone numbers: 855-364-7932 and 770-474-9273. We have called an Executive, **** ******* at ************ with no response from the company. The GFL Env company sent yet another bill dated October 3, 2022. We immediately called the 770-474-9273 telephone number and spoke to **** *****. In a few minutes, she called back at 5:07pm Oct 6th, and said she would need a copy of my new companies contract. I am not sure why she would need that, it is not GFL's business what my new provider is charging me. ***** ************************** And she also implied that we had not cancelled through ALL of our coorespondence, which is not the case. We have made it clear that we have cancelled and we have attempted many times for them to come get their trash receptacles, which they have not. ACCT: *********

      I called GFL Environmental, my trash pickup service, on October 6 asking to cancel my service permanently due to poor service. I'd just been charged $234.57 for the period 10/1/22-12/31/22. I asked the representative for a refund of the unused portion of the charge. He said no, can't do that, because I cancelled within the quarterly service period. I think that's ridiculous and just outright theft on GFL's part. The office that services me is located in *********** TN. All I want is a pro-rated portion of my Q4 fee refunded. That seems entirely fair.

      Its been 3 weeks since GFL had collected my garbage. I called 5x about the issue. Nothing has been done, and when I ask to speak to supervisor I am told they are on the phone and would get back to me. I called Friday Sept 30. Was told it takes ***** hours to speak to supervisor. Called again Tuesday Oct 4,when I didnt hear anything. I was told I would receive a call Oct 5, still no call. Today Oct 6 is garbage ************** I was told the drivers stated multiple times the cans were too far from curb. But I was never informed Except once 3 weeks ago, and nobody has been back to collect my grange since then, And I keep getting the run around. I attached an image of my location of my cans currently today Thursday Oct 6. If they are missing weeks I want to be given their biggest cans they Offer without a charge, since I have bags out they told me to put out being torn open by animals.

      GFL is a trash service, they discontinued emptying my dumpster the middle of August (2022), I repeatedly called them about no service, and nothing was done about it, this went on for about a month, then they told me that the driver was concerned that they were going to damage my driveway culvert, and that they would not pick up my trash until I signed a waiver for damage that might result if they crossed it to empty my dumpster; to which I answered that I would sign the waiver, when they gave me credit on my account for the month of service that I paid for and didnt receive. Every time I try to resolve this problem, I get transferred to an individual who is never in their office, I leave a voicemail for them to return my call, and its never returned. Meanwhile, my trash keeps building up, I have run out of room in my dumpster. I dont feel I should pay for any of the time my dumpster wasnt emptied. I am hoping you can help me to resolve this matter.

      Want to report bad business practices of my father's trash collection company. I have been trying to close the account since July because the house was empty and vacant and listed for sale. I sent several emails requesting service to stop, to no avail. Made phone calls to the company and was told that service would be stopped, but then it never was and we were continually billed. Followed directions on back of bill which stated to send a letter via certified mail to stop service. That letter was signed for on August 22, 2022, yet service was not cancelled. Home was sold on 9/29/22, yet they are still billing for October when home is no longer owned by my ******* ******* phone call today and NOW they tell me its because they want a copy of my *** to cancel service, yet I was never told this before. I stated that I am wary of their email system since none of my emails were ever acknowledged. I asked to go in person with my copy of the *** and they stated that the local office would not help me. Finally spoke to a supervisor and got his personal work email to send *** . I am waiting to see if this works to cancel the service. Also they now state that they want the trash cans collected. I told them that someone should've told me that while we still owned the property as I no longer have access to the house. I have never encountered such a difficult company to contact and deal with. As of this moment, the account is STILL active and showing that my father **** for ****************

There is no need for the trash recepticles to be returned as the new resident is using them for their own service.       GFL continually skips our trash and/or recycling pickup. I never get any noticed that they are not going to picking up my trash and/or recycling, and when I try to call to tell them that they missed my pickup, I wait on hold for up to 45 minutes and no representative answers their phone. I file online requests for missed service but they do not respond. I do not know what I need to do to have my trash and recycling picked up as promised. I have one month of recycling sitting at my curb waiting on GFL! This is one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with.
