Said company had setup a tent outside of Tractor Supply in ************. I purchased a box of steaks for $350. Was only when I got home that I realized the box had under 10lbs of meat. I paid roughly $35 per pound! I would've been better off going to Wal-mart. Feel scammed.Initial Complaint

Statements made regarding product is misleading and false. The steaks were maybe 2 lbs for $40 and they contain so much solution or water added in that they cook down to nothing. This is not high quality meat as you sold it to us, this is less than mediocre meat that isnt from a farm and is the same as all of the usual grocery store selection only grocers have much better cuts. On October 14th I was offered a meat deal from a meats around amarica tent outside the ******** **** *******
When speaking with the men I was offered a "discount" on the "freshly flash frozen meats" that should stay good for "1-2years" what I instead received was already expired meats that even when cooked retained rancid smell and taste, sub par quality when the employee quoted it to be "prime" and a large chunk of change out of my pocket, 70 cash, 122.57 on the card
No reply from their customer service department to date tho its only been encroaching on 24h since purchasing and is a Sunday.
Tldr on Oct, 14th 2023 I was roped in with false advertising, rancid food that led to minor food poisoning, and no customer service reply.Initial Complaint

I went for the 20 ribeyes for 40$ and was pressured into spending 170$ sales rep kept pushing for more and more, the meat looked nice frozen I felt that I spent over my ideal amount but felt that it may be worth it since it was so much meat, when the meet thawed out it was grey and slimy did not look edible at all, the smell was off I’m like ok let just try it. It was some of the toughness steaks I had in my life, I feel scammed and feel bad for all the others in-line because we were all excited thinking we were getting a deal, this company needs to be stopped and people need to be warned.Business Response

We went to a tent special on 4th of July 2023 here in *******, **. They had a big tent and truck set up in a parking lot in front of one of the stores. Heard about this great meat special. Supposed to be such a great quality of meat. Spent over $400 on one of their meat packages. Came home. Put everything in freezer. Most of this meat became inedible. Would thaw some to cook and when we went to cook once it was opened it had a foul bad odor, didn't look right at all. Had a gray sliver slimey look to it. Had to throw away. I have tried to contact them requesting a refund. I have had no luck in hearing back from anyone. I have sent emails with pictures of the bad meat. And also facebook messenger. Nothing. Terrible Terrible quality. This business is a scam. Should not be in business. I want a full refund and response from them.Business Response

I already complained about this business. Probably thanks to the BBB I finally got a response from them. They sent an email and I answered all of their questions and that was almost 2 months ago. I have even messaged on website and Facebook messenger and no response. How do I get them to respond. This business needs to be shut down. We purchased a box of steaks from the essential meat company at the *********** **** this weekend aug 13th. They are the worst steaks. We want to give them bs m and get out money back. Purchased steaks and seafood. Upon opening the packages, horrible smell of rotten meat. The quality of meat was horrible and the meat is clearly bad and then frozen so the consumer doesn’t know that the meat has gone bad. I want a refund but no one will answer their phones.Business Response
