I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car was so appalling I feel compelled to warn others. Getting a car from Enterprise was one of the most frustrating, unpleasant experiences Ive ever had and unfortunately, the rudeness and lack of professionalism seem to be a pattern at every location Ive dealt with.I left my vehicle at the service department of the dealership, and since they did not have a vehicle available at the moment, they told me they could take me to Enterprise, where I could get a car for the day. First, the employees are incredibly rude and unhelpful. When I arrived to pick up my car, the representative barely acknowledged me and did not even bother to walk me around the car and show me the mileage and gas. The car they initially offered had the tire pressure light on, and when I mentioned this, he said that it was an error and that I could drive the vehicle like this. When I said I did not feel comfortable, he offered to change it for another one. The car I left at the dealership was an SUV, and when I asked if they had anything similar, he said the dealership only pays for the minimum, which I do not understand because I have gotten bigger cars in the past. I was thankful I was getting a vehicle, so I did not ask again and just left with that one. I did not say anything, but although the car was clean on the inside, it had the signed papers from the last person and was missing the sign I always get stating that the car had been cleaned. Sadly, this isnt just one bad apple; Ive rented from several Enterprise branches over the years, and its always the same: rude, unhelpful, and indifferent employees who clearly dont value their customers at all.The worst part about this is that most dealerships do business with enterprises, which means that every single time I have to take my car to the dealership, my only two options are to stay without a car or deal with the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the employees.

Enterprise confirmed my reservation. I walked there on foot. They said they had no cars and refused to ******* ride, no solution. Corporate did nothing. I had to walk back.

I had a confirmed reservation made months ago for a 15-passenger van, essential for a group of 10 traveling from *****. Just days before pickup, the Culver City office in *********** informed us that the van would not be available and incredibly, the only option they offered was a 7-seater, in which we obviously dont all fit. When we proposed a reasonable alternative (a premium 67 seat SUV plus a small car), the local agent pressured us, saying:Let me know if you want the 7 seater or not because other people will book the vehicle before I can lock it in for you, then we wont have anything at all to give you. This is unacceptable. That message is coercive, unprofessional, and puts all the burden on the customer despite having a confirmed reservation. We booked with Enterprise expecting reliability. So far, this experience has caused us stress, disruption, and uncertainty just before an international trip that has been planned for months.Weve contacted customer service and are now waiting to hear from upper management. We hope they act responsibly

Terrible customer service. We reserved a vehicle 5 days ahead. We were contacted one hour prior to pick up time that the vehicle promised was not available.

RA# 6M1RD4: I am from ********* ********* and in town visiting family in silver spring ********. I was unfortunately rear ended on December 6 at 6:30 pm. The progressive insurance company scheduled me for a rental at your ********** ******** location (ENTERPRISE ************ **********, **) on December 9th. The rental was for a 2022 ****** Corolla LE. The night of December 9th at 8pm the battery on the corolla died. I was completely stranded and had to walk to my nearest auto part shop (Advance Auto **********************************) to purchase a jumper cable in the amount of $26.49. Confirming after jumping the vehicle, there was no fault of my own as to why the battery would have died. In fear of being stranded again I returned to the home I am currently staying in ******** and cancelled my plans that night. I returned the vehicle to the ********** location on December 23 and explained the situation. The representatives apologized for the inconvenience and offer no further compensation for being stranded in the middle of winter. After leaving a one star review I received a message to please reach out to customer service on the ******************** website ***************************************************************************** to elaborate the night of the battery incident. they have yet responded back

I reserved a car last week and went to pick it up in the *****************************, branch. I had the worse customer experience in my life there. The guy was extremely rude and literally refused to give me the car. The same day I called customer service and complained. They promised someone would call me back. But, never heard from them. I would never go back there again!

I rented a mini-can at the **************. We got our luggage, went to the airport exit found there was no transportation to the rental counter and was listed a 6 min walk (approx 1 mile). I walk with a cane and my wife uses a ******. For us that was not possible. I called the main TF number and they gave me a local number. I explained my situation asked if they could send someone to pick us up at the terminal. Even suggested they use the van I would be renting so once luggage was loaded it would not have to be re-loaded. All I got was a very cold uncaring "No we don't do that" No attempt to help at all just basically no we can't you need to get here yourself. We ended up getting **** ride 1 mile at $15 to the counter. We finally got our minivan and were on our way. Just as we neared the **********/***** border the van got a flat tire. We had to pull to the side of the freeway and call for help. By this time it was after hours and no repair place open so they towed us to a tire repair place and then had **** pick us to take us to the *********** to get a replacement vehicle as it was closer. They were friendly but did not have any mini-vans so gave us a jeep. The reason we needed a mini-van was while on vacation we rented a mobility scooter to help us get around at the places we would visit. They suggested we call in the morning to see what could be done and as it was late we wanted to get to the hotel to relax so we did. In the AM I noticed we left our handicap tag hanging from the mirror of the min-van and forget it. When I called to ask if they could help me get it back I was told no. When asked about a mini-van was told can't be done all *** was required was to give us a car (ANY Car) so they fulfilled their requirement . I remembered the tire repair place called them direct he took the tag out and I went to pick it up. No help from Enterprise. The biggest complaint is the lack of empathy and cold rudeness from so many people I talked to. They just didn't care.

Ive been a frequent renter with Enterprise, but my recent experience at the ************ branch was extremely disappointing. I initially requested an upgrade when I picked up my rental. They didnt have one available, which I understood, but the employee (***, I believe) asked me to return later that day. When I returned as instructed, there was only one car option, and it was not fully fueledit was at about one-third of a tank, and I had to refuel it myself. The employee then asked me to come back again on Saturday, promising that better options would be available and that I would receive a follow-up call. No one ever contacted me. When I went back, I was told they couldnt help because the branchs electricity was down, and I was simply told to request online if I wanted to switch the car. I asked for a way to ensure I wouldnt face the same issue again, but I was told no note could be left and that the employee wouldnt be there. What frustrated me most was the lack of accountability and follow-through. I felt like I was being sent in circles with no real solution, and my concerns were met with indifference. I rent vehicles for extended periods (in this case, a full month), and it matters to me that I get a car that meets my needs. I explained this clearly, but I was repeatedly dismissed with vague promises to check later or come back tomorrow, with no action ******** this point, I am seriously considering switching to another location or company. This was not the level of customer service I expect from **********************.

Booked a car for the next morning with the booking department. They quoted a price that was in our budget so we booked it to be picked up at the *****, ******* facility and dropped off in a few days at the ***********************. A few minutes before they closed we got a call from a person, Dimetri, who said he was the branch manager and we would be charged $75 plus taxes on top of the quote we accepted earlier. He was arrogant, rude and would not work with us, he would not give us his last name, and hung up when we were trying to get the price we were quoted earlier from the company. This is SHADY!! It is a bait and switch and not professional from a car rental company. If we book a car at a certain price, we should get it at the price or close not $100 more. In the last 6 months, I have rented six cars and can tell you go to HERTZ.

Ive never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. The manager, ******* ******, was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional from the start. I was stranded 4 hours from home with 4 kids, 2 dogs, and luggage, and he refused to help because I didnt have a credit card even though I used my debit card for the original rental and was never told I couldnt.Instead of helping, he talked over me, ignored my explanation, and eventually called security when I asked for help not a supervisor. I ended up having to rent a U-Haul at 3x the price and later had a seizure from stress and heat, ending up in the hospital. This man should not be in a customer-facing role. Ive worked in customer service for 25 years and was truly shocked by how I was treated.******* ****** not only needs a serious ****** in basic customer service and respectful communication, but also in professional appearance. If youre going to represent yourself as a manager, you should look the part. Showing up in a wrinkled, unbuttoned, untucked shirt that looked like it had been slept in only reinforced the lack of professionalism he displayed in every aspect of our interaction.Enterprise do better.
