  Like many others, I had a "switcheroo" experience between the price I was initially offered and what I had to pay for my system. The guarantees they made appeared to make it worthwhile and I gave in. Stupid me.
  
  As a Veterans United customer, I was also offered a *lifetime* preferred rate lock of $65.99. Guess what's happening? My rates are increasing.
  
  Stay away from this company. I already wrote to my VU reps to implore them to cancel any partnership they still have.

  I wish I could give negative stars. The cameras are all garbage! The quality stinks the night vision stinks; it's like the night vision isn't even on. This company lied and bribed me to switch from *** to their service. They Told me that I would be getting a $1000.00 voucher because they had a contract with the home builder that I was buying from. They also told me that they use the same equipment that *** uses which was the lie. *** uses Google nest, and safe haven gave me the cameras that *** doesn't use anymore. Then when I called to have my service cancelled, I couldn't even get ahold of anyone I kept getting voicemail and left a message. they called back a few days later and told us that we had 3 days after installation to cancel and that we missed that opportunity even though we called and left a message because they refused to answer our calls. The Tech that installed our system put a big hole and crack in our wall on a new build. I am absolutely pissed.. absolute garbage system!! Ripoff!!

  I was promised that with the purchase of my solar panels I would receive 3 years of paid ADT services. To date I have not received these funds or communication about receiving the check despite multiple attempts to reach out to them for this and am locked into a contract with ADT. I am asking the Safehaven terminate the ADT contract with no penalty fee for ending the contract earlier.

  My husband passed away and safe haven took advantage of me telling me they would install a system . at no time told me I was getting charged over 400 dollars a month plus 69 dollar monitoring fee from ADT ! Didn’t even out sensors on all my windows bc they were going to charge me over 4000 dollars . So I only got a few things Charged me an up front fee which I wrote a check for .. and now I see getting charged monthly 428.00

  I want to warn others about my experience with Safe Haven ADT. A salesperson came to my door and signed me up for service, but they NEVER told me it was a 3-year contract. I only found out when I tried to cancel due to a military move.
  At that point, I was NEVER told I’d have to pay 75% of the remaining contract as a cancellation fee. This is outrageous — especially since the agreement terms were never properly disclosed upfront by the salesperson.
  This kind of misrepresentation is unacceptable. If the contract terms were not properly disclosed, that can make the contract unenforceable or invalid under consumer protection and contract law. Customers have the right to full and clear disclosure before agreeing to any long-term obligation.
  If you’re considering ADT through Safe Haven, please don't do services with them. As they will try to provide you with misinformation.

  Stay as far away from this company as possible. You will get swindled and you will be out A LOT of money. Very deceiving and not honest. Customer service is complete garbage. Stay away, please.

  Horrible system. Not what I wanted and I feel like I was ROBBED because of the outrageous price they charged me. Wish I had seen all the negative reviews before I used them. Beware. Stay away.

  If I could give 0 Stars i would. Safe Haven is a complete scam! Do NOT use them. If you like ADT products then go through ADT directly. Safe Haven misrepresents what their equipment can do. I was promised 24/7 recording. That's a lie. There equipment records for 30 seconds then stops. You also have a monthly limit of recording clips that we go over after 10 days. The worst part is they lock you into a 3 year contract and then once you sign they disappear and say ADT is responsible. meanwhile ADT says Safe haven is responsible. Its an absolute scam and you should avoid at all costs. My rep also ignored me for 2 weeks so by that time i was already out of my cancelation window and trapped in this ridiculously expensive contract. It honestly should be illegal what they do.

  The worst! Their customer service is so unwilling to help. Their only response is, 'we can send a technician out for a fee'. I tried contacting my point of contact, **** ******, and he won't accept or return my calls. Biggest rip off and excuse for a business. And because they rope you into a 3 yr contract, they don't care and there is alternative.
