  I placed an order on swappa under a seller nycphonebuyer. 15 minutes after I placed the order and it was accepted, swappa kicked me off tge site and has not responded to my inquiries for help. I attempted to contact both swappa and the seller. No responses. I don’t know if swappa notified the seller or if swappa is keeping rhe money or something else. I am not happy. I don’t know what us going on

  I've bought two phones on here without any issues. The issue is with your carrier so make sure to choose that wisely more than bagging on Swappa.

  It's an online platform to sell cell phones and buy them. They're really strict on guidelines and have relatively annoying rules on commenting. They also don't really have your back if you have an issue when buying a phone. They'll just defer to PayPal with that. And their fees are insanely high. Like way higher than they should be.

One of the key reasons we use PayPal for payment processing is for cases where a buyer and seller cannot reach a mutual agreement. It looks like this issue has been resolved through the PayPal dispute process and you have been fully refunded.   Over the past 3 years I have purchased two iPhones and one Macbook on Swappa, different sellers for each transaction. First iphone was actually in far batter condition than the listing described and was a super deal. The next one, the iPhone XS, the USPS lost the package. I was frustrated, but the Swappa seller was great, refunded the full amount and then dealt with the post office to get reimbursed (obviously it was insured). My latest purchase was the MacBook which I tried to cancel after it had already been shipped. The seller was great, took it upon himself to redirect the shipment back to himself. Ended up being another USPS screw-up, it was eventually delivered to me. Seller again, took care of sending me a return ship label. Refunded the entire amount even though it was totally my fault for changing my mind. Communication during all three transactions with seller and Swappa staff (they monitor everything) was excellent. Have nothing bad to say about Swappa.
