      The tutoring sessions really boosted my grades in chemistry. I was able to comprehend the lessons that were being taught better with the tutor. I was also taking a math tutor but ended up dropping out of math because the schoolteacher was such a tough grader. But the math tutor really helped me understand the concepts.

      This company had extremely sketchy practices.First, they do not allow cancellation of monthly subscriptions without an extremely long and complicated process of talking to account advisors and getting "approval". This sounds like it should be illegal, where "Federal law requires online merchants to provide simple mechanisms for a consumer to cancel a subscription service".Getting "approval" is not a "simple mechanism".Secondly, the website cancelled my tutoring sessions with a week left in the month, and told me I had to reschedule all remaining sessions in the last 3 or 4 days of the calendar month - obviously this was to make it difficult for me to actually use all of my hours after cancelling my membership.

      I normally don’t reach out to sites like this for assistance because they usually take advantage of the person and overcharge and you don’t get anything out of it. That is not the case with Varsity Tutors and my instructor Señora ******* ******. I chose this site because my wife is Latina and I want to communicate with her in her language as much as she focuses to communicate in English. Señora ****** is very personable and professional. Her conversational style makes it easier to learn and use the proper verbiage and pronunciation for each situation. I see the value more and more every week and it always leaves me anxious to get to the next week. The only thing I would add to the site is Spanish tutorials/lessons throughout the week to help assist with the learning plans. Other than that, I would still give Varsity Tutors a 10/10

      This place is awful. Do not waste your Time do not waste your money!!! **************** reps are rude and inconsiderate. I canceled my subscription and they billed me anyway

      Weve had a great experience. Our first tutor wasnt a good fit for my son so they gave us credit for the session and found someone else that was perfect within a day! Great follow up and desire to help you.

      My 7 yr old is being tutored and has had about 4 sessions. I knew on the 1st session, her tutor was phenomenal. Her working many many years with kids ranging between K-3rd, she has more than enough experience to question something that was not put in my daughters notes. It was my daughter has 504 and IEP. She asked me, does she receive any additional or extra classes, ********? She flat out ask, such as a 504 or IEP? I said yes. She mentioned it's not noted on her informational form, but I noticed... she explained why she asked. I was more than happy she asked because it was supposed to have been there. I knew from the second she picked up on it, that she is perfect. I am very happy with everything.My daughter loves working with her tutor, loves the extras that come in the package. It's been really awesome so far..

      Extremely ineffective tutoring service that did not support my daughter's learning. The tutor was condescending and made her feel inadequate which is not what a tutor is supposed to do. I canceled service and they billed me anyway. I spoke with several representatives telling them to cancel my service and I was still charged for the month. I am angry and would never recommend this service to anyone.
