  I love using Varsity Tutors! They have helped me so much with my Math skills and have been responsive as well as so helpful every step of the way. I also love to use their included classes and material as it helps me to learn another new subject that I have always wanted to learn but have never had the chance.

  We have been with Varsity Tutors for a month and are extremely impressed so far with the services for our 2nd and 6th graders. It is extremely personalized and the tutors have gone above and beyond to meet the needs of our kids. It has already made a much bigger impact than anything the school has tried or provided.

  I purchased a package of tutoring sessions (35 hours) for $2053 on 1-27-22. I was not told when I purchased this package that the hours would EXPIRE in ONE YEAR! I would never have purchased it had I known that. When I called them, I was told there was "nothing they could do" and they would offer me a free month of tutoring to make me whole (which was weak, but I accepted it because my daughter needed the help).I was under the impression the hours were there for my daughter to use throughout high school. I was told by reps subsequently that the expiration was in the contract, but at NO TIME did anyone verbalize that to me. I am appalled at this deceptive business practice, and to add insult to injury, their tutors did not help my daughter academically. She had a session with a Geometry tutor recently and received a 60 on the subsequent test. Just terrible.

  Varsity Tutors has been the best thing for my son! He really loves his tutor and said that he feels his sessions are a lot of fun and his confidence has definitely increased.

  Varsity Tutors does not allow for time to find suitable tutors, though they advertise tutors are available for many educational disciplines. I was not allowed to use the entire $2000 I paid for tutoring because time ran out before I was able to redeem the entire tutoring time once I finally found a suitable tutor. Consequently, I paid for 19 more sessions than I was able to use, @ a loss to me of $1181.90, which I fully expect to reclaim, despite their corrupt policy.

  Cancellation process is awful. Followed instructions on the website and emailed them to stop my auto-renewal and that I would no longer be taking classes so no longer needed the service. Since the specific word "cancel" was not in the email they still processed my payment. I called in and they said they would refund me. Two weeks later and still no refund. Second call inbound to them and she said it would be up to their review board whether to refund me. She sees I called in but there were no notes taken by the last representative. Terrible business practice and now I'm out $650 and at their whim on whether they process my refund.

  Varsity Tutors is so good with communication. Any time of day or night they will respond. My daughter has had two tutors, and they were both amazing. Patient. On time. And most importantly, effective. Her grade went from a D to a B in Algebra in 5 months. The sessions are recorded so that it can be reviewed later on if needed. And she even has access to group sessions of any subject. As an educator myself, I definitely highly recommend their services. You will not be disappointed.

  I was encouraged by their sales rep to purchase the $199.00 monthly tutoring sessions for 2hrs/wk and access to online tutors daily for 1 month. When I told her that i only need help for 1hr and for the day. The rep told me that i would have to purchase the services first in order to recieve the tutoring. Being in a bind, i went ahead and purchased the services (on 4/25 at 4:30p). When i logged on to website to find a tutor to help me, i waited for little over an hour for a tutor to assist me. When i finally got ahold of a tutor, the tutor was inexperienced on the tutoring subject i requested (statistic research sociology), because onky knows contemporary sociology. The next tutor i got after another 30-40mins of searching, was a no show. The final tutor i got offered to help me because he knew the statistical portion of my homework help, and was able to assist me with the statistics reading for "********* r" however wasnt able to assist me in relation to my research assiginment and essay explaining thr results; i met with that tutor for 15mins. After realizing the services i purchased we insufficent enough for the amount of time it took for me to find a tutor (1hr 45mins), or for the amount of tutoring time i recieved (15mins). Reviewing my account i noticed that they had charged me 1hr and 30mins of instant tutoring, and that i only had 30mins of the 2hrs per a MONTH (not the **** that i was assured). When i realized i was bamboozaled into purchasing insufficent tutoring services, that failed to provide me with the help i so despartely needed, i immediately contacted the office @ 9p after i was told by the sales rep that someone will be available to assist me up till 11p. At 9:45p I tried calling them requesting to cancel my membership and be refunded for the services i didnt use 1hr 30mins, but was unable to reach anyone in the office, so i emailed the company instead. I was told by the operator on 4/26 that i will recieve a refund in 48h. Its fri 4/28 no refund.
