      I would have actually given this company zero stars if I could. All I wanted to do is add beneficiaries to an existing account so my kids would not have a hassle if something happens to me, and I was told I have to have a Medallion form filled out, which means another trip to the bank and all the hassle that entails, plus one Medallion form for each beneficiary. Hey EQ, NO ONE ELSE ASKS FOR THIS. I've read all the online comments here and couldn't agree more. This company is effed up. I'd sell my stocks now but then I'll have to pay taxes on them.

      I read the first few reviews here. I have the identical experiences with EQ. Excuses, customer service reps give you different answers, paperwork sent in can't be confirmed, wasted medallion stamps that they claim 'can't be scanned' (I kept a copy and it is a very clear stamp), etc. I am handling my parents' stock holdings with both POA and court ordered lifetime Conservatorship. EQ policy does not accept a Conservatorship order over 60 days old to communicate with them. Nobody goes back to court to get it validated every two months! Mine is LIFETIME! My father passed a decade ago and my mother has advanced dementia. They held about 10 different companies' stocks/shares. The ones held by Computershare all got transferred and moved to direct beneficiaries without a hitch. I sold off a couple of the smaller ones to pay for her care. I called into each company's rep with Computershare and wrote notes and specific guidelines. So this process is not new to me. I have ONE stock holding with EQ left to handle and it is nothing but a nightmare to get answers. And don't even think about using the company they have an agreement with to do the medallion stamps by internet/mail. Read those reviews! I went with a medallion company out of ******* with instant responses that had great service. So instead of transferring this stock and listing direct beneficiaries at *** according to the terms of my mother's will, I am selling this company as soon as someone from EQ gives me a straight answer about needing a THIRD notarized Affidavit of ******** form to them because the first two were lost at sea or whatever (along with the 2 wasted medallion stamped *********** forms. There is NO WAY I would put my mother's grandchildren (her heirs) into this ridiculous web from EQ to get their inheritance from that stock. My brother and I will distribute it on our own. If I were to ever buy stocks, I would immediately ask who is the holding company, and if EQ, I would absolutely pass!

      Every time I call, it's a different person, many with accents hard to understand.Been trying to get corrected ****s for joint owners of accounts my uncle had. He died over a year ago, and the tax liability goes to the surviving joint tenants, who need to get the corrected ****s.I have emailed, snail-mailed, then called several times trying to find out if ****s would be sent. "It's under review." "It's not my department." I was not able to talk to anyone in the correct department. I had the representative file a complaint with them, which will probably go nowhere.

      I have been trying since the end of Nov 2022 to close my deceased mother's account. I have fax and mailed twice the appropriate estate paperwork and death certificate and was told they received it but I had to mail it again with my request ti liquidate because the don't keep the paperwork. I am still waiting on statements for 3 account so I can get the required medallion stamp. Talked to several associates and keep getting the run around. All I want yo do is settle my mithers estate!

      This is the most crooked company I have ever worked with. I would advise you not to put your money. They will take your account from you and claim you were inactive. These people are Crooks

      I have had an account for many years and now when I want to sell there system will not allow me to fill in tax forms. I have had many telephone calls and they continually say to wait 2 days and it will be fixed. I have also faxed forms. It is very disappointing.

      Worst experience with a company ever. They gave me the run around for a year. Lost my paperwork, sent me someone elses information, told me it would take two weeks to scan 5 pieces of information I sent them. Horrid customer service ever. I contacted them 50 or more times by phone, email, mail. Kept changing what they said they needed from me. Contacted managers and they were useless. So frustrating. Avoid this company. They are a total nightmare. Took a year to get what I needed. I
