There are no words to explain how bad this company is. From the representatives that barely speak English to the mis information and omitted information. I am trying to settle an Estate and am having no success with this company. Only more forms to complete and additional fees.

I am thrilled to see so many others with similar experiences- I thought it was me. This is Whack-A-Mole with the intent to drive the customer crazy and thus be unable to sell their stocks. I have been trying to sell my dead fathers stocks for literally four years now. Every time I call, I get different instructions. Every time I submit the forms according to their instructions, I get a letter back - MONTHS later, mind you - saying that I sent the wrong things. Today I called three times, after having my forms rejected twice in the past two months, with two advisors telling me one thing and another a different thing. I decided to take the advice of the majority, even though I am fully expecting round 900 of Whack-A-Mole. Each transaction costs money as the value of the stocks I wish to sell goes down.

Awful, awful service. They just do not seem to give a hoot. I was a custodial owner of an account for my minor son for years. He is now over age 21 so I wanted to remove myself from the account and transfer shares solely into his name. I obtained necessary stock power which I completed and had medallion guaranteed by my bank. Mailed it in and a week later I see the change made in their system but EQ SS mis-spelled my son's last name. After calling them they said we need to get another medallion guarantied stock power to change name to right spelling. It was their clerical error! No address change. No social security number change. I have no idea how this requested change can get done but we now seem to be caught in a death loop because of their idiocy. Truly infuriating. AVOID these con artists at all costs.

The service continues to be deeply disappointing. Communications remain unclear and misleading, with no definitive indication of whether AST or EQ is currently acting as the transfer agentdespite the merger dating back to 2021. This lack of clarity creates significant challenges for brokerage firms, and I can only imagine the confusion it causes for shareholders. We spent six months following up on a GE Corporate Action, only to receive conflicting information with every call. Although the brokerage firm was handling the request on behalf of the client, rejection letters were sent directly to the client, undermining our efforts and making us appear uninformed. This kind of misalignment damages trust and credibility. We should be working in partnership to support our mutual clientsthe shareholdersnot operating at cross purposes.

-Terrible customer service - they completely ignore the questions Im asking and give me the same generic response over and over again.-They apparently could not verify my bank account (provide no guidance as to why and make no attempt to verify after they determine they cant). And so that results in sending large checks in the mail with no tracking information and a 15 business day window. -They did not notify me that they couldnt verify my bank account or that the funds would then be sent as a check. - Terrible platform for sales. In clicking back and forth through different scenarios on their website, that essentially adds anything I click to an invisible cart - when I placed the order, I thought I was submitting only what I had just planned. Instead what I was clicking through previously (never submitted) also created a sale. There was no summary screen of the order being placed so I had no idea.-absolutely do not recommend this company.

I have never had a bigger displeasure dealing with people. My brother shot and killed my Dad. I'm trying to get this done with. Every single time I call, they tell me I need something I didn't before to get anything done or to have even simple questions answered. Ein, death certificate, letters of appointment, medallion signatures, ssn, birthday, all of that is in and can be confirmed at any point. Now they tell me they can't tell me anything unless I have the account number. This company is despicable and is clearly out here to make life hard for anyone who goes with them. I would rather deal with another family member dying then deal with this company ever again. I'd forget about any money they had. You'll never get it or any information. You can't go in even to talk in person for a meeting if things go south. The people who answer also don't have any management. If you call and ask, they'll tell you that doesn't exist. This company is clearly scamming.

I have a mom that is a senior home - i have been trying for a year to sell her stock so she can qualify for help. Its not a large amount of stock but I have been given the run around over and over and over every month. I send my paperwork in by priority mail but it takes the a month to kick the paperwork back and says its not right. I have called and kept a log of each time i call and what paper work needs to be sent in so far NOTHING! I am at the end of cash flow for her rent payment - I need HELP and I explain that to them every single time I call. I had another stock to sell for her with another company done in two weeks - people were very helpful and all could be done by email.
I can see I am not the only one having this problem BUT there should be some way of getting help on this stock. This is just wrong and I feel like I am dealing with front people - these people have no answers to give - call back in 4 days - paperwork hasnt been processed yet - they will look at it same thing every time i call. I have a log going of every time I call. The star rating should not be a one but a NEGATIVE.

EQ Shareowner Services P.O. ************************************* I have been buying stock from EQ Shareowner Services for over 30 years, tried selling a portion of my shares on June 11 2025, requested direct deposit, the money was not direct deposit because they said they could not confirm my banking info, they did not try to contact me to confirm info and mailed a check on 6/13/25 which I have not received as of July 1 2025. I called to have another check issued and told that the check will take 20 business days before they mail out and another 10 business days before I receive. I needed this money to show proof of funds for a house I put $4000 down on and supposed to close the week of 7/7/25. This is totally unacceptable. I will not receive my money until sometime in September some 2 months after selling my shares. How can they do business like this? If they do this to other customers I can only imagine how much interest they are collecting on these funds. I called multiple times and was told there is NOTHING they can do.******* ********

We have sold stocks and they said they had to send us a check. They said it would be 10 days. It has been nearly 2 months and we still havent received a check. We have been lied to several times by this company about when the check we sent. They refuse to direct deposit the funds to our account. They have told us that if we get a fed ex account and pay the fees they can overnight the check to us. Then they have to Double check to see if they can do that. Stay away from this company.

This is an inefficient, incompetent, borderline dishonest *************** mother passed away on November 7, 2024. It took literally three months of repetitive telephone calls and submission of Letters of Instruction and *********** forms to effect ownership transfer and sale of three securities managed by this firm. Their telephone agents speaking variably comprehensible English and cannot answer the most basic of questions. When forms submitted do not meet their confusing requirements, they simply discard them despite having Medallion signatures, and return blank forms without explanation. Voided checks were submitted with their "Sale After Transfer" forms to allow for wire transfer of sold shares, but instead they mailed checks...which is the case for everything they send by mail, they use pre-sorted first class mailings which no doubt save money but result in ten business days to be received. I have reported them to the *** and ************************************** Services to ensure that their unacceptable business practices are documented.
