1 starTheir products don't last and they don't backup their product. Bought in 2020. And have had to have mechanism replaced, so door will shut, in 2022, ***************************** 2024. I have to do the work. Prices are those of a premium with their actual item is a below par. After the third time within 3 years, you would think they would replace with something that actually works.Andersen Corporation

1 star2012 replaced every window in my existing home and my newly built **** sf addition with ******** 400 series tilt sash windows. . Spent just under $10,000. Fast foreward to 2021. Every window condensates where the two windows meet and lock. Condensation between the glass and the sash. SERIOUS MOLD ISSUES. Contacted ******** window who transferred me to corporate as the service tech continuously talked over me and would not let me say anything. SHE TOLD ME THAT ******** WINFOW **** NOT COVER MOISTURE ISSUES. She said it was because of the temperature difference between inside and outside air!!! No doubt. That is what a window is supposed to do. Stop the cold from comin in. What kind of bologna is that? Mom has 200 series tilt wash and everyone of her windows leaks and is moldy. ******** WINDOW TOLD ME TO POUND SAND. THEY WILL NOT WARRSNTY THEIR WINDOWS DUE YO MOISTURE DAMAGE. IM GOING TO THROW OUT $10,000 worth of ******** 400 series tiltcwadh windows. I will install Pella or ****** windows. If you want a leaky, wet and moldy Windows?? Order the tilt sash windows and you will be disappointed too. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP FROM ******** WINDOW. THEY FEEL THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE REST OF SOCIETY. In actuality, they are nothing but overpaid peons who thinks they are somebody special as they control you like a puppet. WORD TO THE WISE DO NOT BUY ******** WINDOWS. YOU GET NO WARRANTY WITH THE WINDOW. 20 YEARS IS THE WARRANTY ON MY WINDOWS. ******** CORPORATE TOLD ME TO POUND SAND AND DISCONNECTED THEMSELVES TO NEVER ANSWER THE ***** AGAIN. 1 starhad a 2 year disastrous process with my door project. already commented and got a call with the regional manager who offered me. $500 apology on a $35,000 project. I must highly recommend to steer clear of this company. they are not ******** windows but instead subsidiary that does they install for outrageous fees with subcontractors... highly recommend you find a reputable contractor to install your ******** windows.Andersen Corporation

1 starI had a new house built, ***** square feet and used ******** windows and patio door. I spent $24,875 for the windows. One window would not lock, ******** was contacted in October and now at the end of January they have not fixed the problem. Their commercial saying they are responsible is NOT true. They are not responsive, drag their feet and do not stand behind their products. It is pathetic. I have worked with a general contractor that spends hundreds of thousands of dollars with them every year and they are not responding to him. It is disgusting. They do not even deserve one star! They would have ******************* listed as the customer since they are the general contractor.Andersen Corporation

1 starFor 10 years now I am dealing now with the doors installed from ******** Windows for the price paid i had to repair it several times because of its cheap parts used , a little cheap Plastic part that is actually the most important part to turn the door handle brakes, it requires a whole set that has to be installed and replaced that comes in a 7 foot long box and can not be shipped overnight because of its size besides the fact it comes with a hefty price of $ 280.00.Today I had it and called the factory direct, to place a complaint, I explained my frustration and the person actually said that it is the wrong door for its application on the end I wanted to know from the person if I have to replace not that wanted another ******** Door, but as it is in my business in the handicap entrance, and I am living on the ******** Border kind of remote i might not have another choice, so I wanted to know from the person what model number will replace my lousy door , she could not neither would not answer my question i insisted to speak to a person that could help me with this information, she said unwillingly HOLD ON after 20 minutes i hung up have better things to e.g writing this review. Anyone reading this can make up their own mind if a ******** Door or Window is needed in your placeReview fromlarry

1 starWe ordered a custom made ******** window from Midwest Widow, and Door recently and have had numerous problems. First, the window leaked so much that my walls and carpet got drenched the very first heavy rain. This problem continued to occur with each heavy rain from then on. I called the installer to come a tell me what the problem was. He insisted that it probably was roof leak. So he calked it a couple times and it didn't stop the rain from coming in. Finally after a couple visits I suggested to spay water on the window. Immediately the water started to flow throught. His reaction was that he could not believe that that the window was that defective. Midwest windows and doors said that their is a process to deal with this. I am waiting patiently to hear from someone to explain what will happen to fix the problem. Communiation has been terrible in regard to what is next. Currenty, winter has come and my windows are freezing up with much frost in the interior corners. I will write my next review as to how they respond.Andersen Corporation

1 starWe purchased a 400 series patio door in June of 2023, installed it in early July by our framing contractor. 6 months later it is covered in mold all around where it suppose to seal. Since we purchased it through ********** we had to submit the warranty claim and pictures through **********. Andersen sent nobody out to look at the installation or door issues, going off the pictures Andersen denied the warranty claim. So the warranty on this very expensive door is totally non-existent, which to me is fraudulent. I cannot believe a decision like this is made from a few pictures, to not even send out a technician tells me they have no plans to honor any sort of warranty. On another issue we had; our house has all Andersen windows and when we uncrated 2 of the 3 large windows there was physical damage. The boxes they came in were not damaged at all, but when we removed the window the sash was bent on one window and weather stripping hanging out on another. This tells me is boxed like this, so quality control and assurance is definitely non-existent. Now here is the best part, they did warranty these, they sent me the replacement sashes. They didn't send a tech out to replace them, they sent them to me so I can replace them. Seriously, the home owner is supposed to replace them? So in a nut shell, if purchase Andersen products, be prepared to to disappointed.Andersen Corporation

1 starThese are the worst windows ever! They are hard to clean and keep clean. They are too high so that I cannot look outside my kitchen window. They were too expensive, and I'd never buy them again. And, the representative never called me back when I needed to ask him a question.Andersen Corporation

1 starDo not buy these windows! For four years we've been trying to get them to fix the extremely loud vibration in 6 of our windows they installed. When there is a wind storm, the windows vibrate and actually shake the house; it sounds like a helicopter flying over. We've lost many night's sleep due to this loud noise.******** is aware of this problem with their Renewal windows. It's caused by the spring inside the window casing vibrating. They're always very pleasant when I call, and send someone out eventually, but they've been out 6 times and each time the attempt to fix it was more ridiculous than the last. The first tech cut a straw and covered one side of the spring with it. The next tech said it was still doing it because the last tech didn't cover the springs in both sides of the window with straws, but he didn't have straws with him, so he left. One came out to supposedly fix the problem with a special piece designed to fix the vibration (according to the service department). He didn't have any such piece with him, so he said he was sent to observe the windows, which I explained, only make the noise when it's windy and he wouldn't have much to observe on that windless day. He then went and cut foam out of some packaging in his truck and covered the springs with it. That did not work.The last tech came out and put a plastic sleeve over the springs, which also had no effect.In between these "fixes" we've had several techs come out to supposedly fix the problem and do absolutely nothing.I have several different video recordings of the noise, which have all been sent to *****************I'm at the point now where I either want new windows, or my money back on these 6 windows. I've been very patient, but this has gone on long enough and ******** needs to make it right.Andersen Corporation
