Liquid web doesn't respond to emergency situations fast enough. I am having an email problem with my server and every client's site I'm hosting. I asked for a supervisor (2nd opinion) and in 4 hours during business hours they can't pick up a phone to call to get this resolved.To them I'm just an other server. To me this is my WHOLE **********!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a customer of Alpha Hosting for many years, which Liquid Web recently acquired. They decided that a great day to do site migrations was Christmas Eve - not a day that I would pick, especially given that support will likely be non-existent on Christmas, but I digress. In any case, the migration completes, and I check my site (running Magento 1). It seems to be up, but it's dreadfully slow, taking up to 30 seconds to load a page. I asked about this, and they claimed that they put me on a service equivalent (price-wise) to what I was paying at Alpha Hosting... even though they don't publicly offer any shared hosting services. I argued that my service was never this slow, and they claimed that the server I was on previously was "massively underutilized," and their loss was my gain. Really? They then linked me to their existing plans, with only one comparably priced, but only when you sign up for a two-year contract. I'm not interested in this as I'm in the process of closing my business and am only keeping the site up to sell off my remaining stock. Otherwise, the monthly price for the cheapest service is 2.5x what I was currently paying (I had pre-paid for one year of hosting back in June of 2021). My guess is that they shoved all of Alpha Hosting's shared hosting customers onto the smallest number of servers possible. That way, these customers would be forced into signing up for one of their more expensive plans or have them scrambling to find another hosting provider. To top it off, my site has now been down for almost a full day and counting, with no one answering my support ticket. Again, I realize that it was Christmas yesterday, which again leads me to ask... who came up with the ingenious idea to perform site migrations just before a major holiday? If you're a small business owner looking for a reasonably priced hosting provider that values their customers (and not just the ones paying hundreds or thousands of dollars per month for hosting), don't even consider using Liquid Web... there are many, many other options out there.
