In April of 2021 I gave Magic Home Services, which is owned and operated by Gutter Magic LLC, a 1/3 down payment of almost $7,000 for an 18x20 deck. Per our contract this deck should have been completed between June and July of 2021. It is now November 12th, 2021 and there is no progress. Every time I call they have a new excuse. Their first line of excuses were about the permits. In my contract it states that the cost included the permits. This was also the line sold to us by their salesman Dennis. It turns out this is not true and not company policy. I paid for the permits in home that this would speed up the building process as they said they would not start until the permits were picked up. In August, after calling repeatedly for updates I was told the company did not even have qualified workers to complete the deck. This, is fraud. I have now entered into a contract with a company that does not have the ability to complete the project they sold me. However, I was told that the deck was on pace to be built in October if I just "had faith in their company". In October, the customer service rep Danita told me that my project was "next in line" and that materials were delayed. This is after I was told back in July that my money had already been spent on materials and we were awaiting people to build the deck. So I have been lied to again, and still do not have any information on when my project will be completed. Because this is clearly fraud as the company has taken my check, cashed it, and does not have the resources or personnel to complete the project, I am looking for a full refund with interest for the 7 months they have had my money. This company is fraudulent and can in no way actually do the work which they have promised, let alone actually call their customers back. Thank you.
