      Extremely dissatisfied with the Lady Managr of Nextcar BWI airport Nextcar Manager. She charge me more money and when I questioned her then instead to understand she started arguing with me and was not willing to listen my concern even. She was completely disrespectful and unable to understand my concerns. She is non professional and mentally sick lady. She is not appropriate person to post this kind of important place I.e. airport. Next car will loose customers if they appointment this kind of non cooperative and non sense manager at key places.

      I have the same story as others here. Hidden charges that doubled the cost. NO DISCLOSURE on any of this. Avoid at all costs. People at counter were simply rude, although they must be dealing with angry customers all day. I don't want to give a single star. Ripoff!

      This company is a bunch of crooks and thieves. I waited 2.5 hour for my car. It was an SUV with 4 wheel drive. They told me my car was dropped off at the wrong location, and it would be there in 20 minutes. Every 20 minutes, I was told it would be another 20 minutes. After 2.5 hours, they gave me a minivan. I told them this was not what I rented. I paid a lot of extra money to get and SUV with 4 wheel drive. When I booked on-line, the cost of a minivan was a lot less. I was robbed. I didn't get wait I paid for. The employees could care less. Never use this company.

      DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Absolutely the WORST service I had ever experienced in any car rental place! They are full of hidden fees! Do not buy the insurance online, they force you to buy their insurance in addition to the insurance that you purchase online because it does not meet “their liability standards” we chose a midsize SUV a jeep patriot or similar. They gave us a Nissan kicks and said it was all they had. They offered to upgrade for another fee. They force you to pay 12 dollars a day for toll fees, if you decline that, they charge you a 50 dollar fee along with 15.00 a day for however long you have the rental. They charge you 45 dollars a day to add your spouse as a driver. On top of that they charge you a 500 dollar refundable fee themat they return to you in 15 business days. The representative was not helpful. If you could work for this company shame on yourself. They are thieves! Please stay far away, you are better off using a reputable company such as hertz or Avis. At least you know what you are getting up front. Shame on you Nextcar, I hope you get what you do to ppl and there hard working money, back ten fold.

      Save yourself the aggrevation. Do not rent from Next Car. You have been warned! Look at all the complaint and negative reviews. I had a terrible experience with them in Orlando. It was very sad to see how many people they pissed off while I was waiting in line for over an hour. They have so many hidden fees. Your $10/day rental could cost you $250+. They don't take all insurance companies and you must show them your insurance delcaration page. Who walks around with insurance delcaration page? They didn't accept my insurance after I showed them proof of full coverage. Also, if your flight is late, or you've been in line waiting, by the time you get to the counter your reservation is automatically cancelled. Because I prepaid for the car rental, I lost that money. At the end, I ended up taking the shuttle back to the airport and rented from another company without any issues. They didn't even ask for proof of insurance. I'm writing this to help you so that you don't ruin the start of your vacation by renting from NextCar.

      I rented a car from these people from the TIA location. They quoted me just over $600. When it was said and done, I paid almost $900. The deposit went from $250 to $500 because I used my debit card and not my credit card to pay for the car. They said I would get it back as soon as I returned the car. It's now been 10 days and still no deposit refund. CROOKS

      Nextcar is only receiving a 1 star rating from me since 0 stars is not possible.
      On 22 Dec 2022, my flight to from Phoenix to BWI was diverted to Denver due to an inflight emergency with one of the engines. When we reached the Denver airport, I contacted Nextcar to let them know. I also asked them when they closed. They said the closed at 11pm.
      When our replacement flight was ready, I informed Nextcar that our new arrival time was 3am and that I would contact them the next day to pick up my rental car.
      The next day (23 Dec 2022), I called Nextcar. They informed me they had no available cars due to the holiday season. When I asked them about a refund, the customer service representative (who was very polite) stated that I had to work through Travelocity to request the refund since Travelocity received payment.
      Travelocity's customer service representative (also very polite) captured all of the details and asked me to hold while they attempted to contact Nextcar. After several attempts, she said they would forward the refund request to their head office to confirm my details from Nextcar and request a refund.
      This morning (31 Dec 2022), Travelocity informed me that Nextcar declined the refund request.
      The first issue is not taking the extreme circumstances, which were out of my control, into account when making their decision to deny my refund request.
      The second issue is not having a rental car for me despite making a reservation, and pre-paying for it, for 22-29 Dec 2022.
      The third issue is hiding behind Travelocity instead of contacting me directly to resolve this issue.
      The fourth issue is seeing this as a binary decision (refund, no refund). I would have accepted a partial refund given I was not able to arrive as scheduled on 22 Dec 2022.
      I am now seeking legal representation to resolve this issue with Nextcar. It is unfortunate that I have to take this route as I would prefer to speak with the head of their Customer Service department to work this out.

      I canceled my reservation and let them keep the deposit. Hidden fees. The worst car-rental experience I have ever had.

      Please be very very very CAREFUL if you rent a car with this company:
      1) Has two diferents names(NextCar, *********) Not BBB acredited business.
      2)Does not drive out of state's border, if you do it extra charges will be $1,000.00 plus tax.
      3) Many,many,many hide charges you never know until you arrive their counter.
      4) You'll be charged insurance more of $300 even when provide your own policy insurance.
      5) You will be extra charged for their shuttle service fee, airport fee, recovery fee, vehicle licence fee, Miami privilege fee, Customer facility charge, glass and tire cover fee, location fee and adding and of couse local and goverment taxes.
      So, could be doing a 5 days reservation ( MUST BE PREPAID, NOT REIMBURSABLE) for around $75 ($15 per day) but could be charged upon return above $1,700.00
      HAVE A BEAUTIFUL VACATIONS !!!
      AVOID IT , KEEP AWAY OF THIS RENT A CAR FAKE COMPANY

      We rented a car from NextCar in San Jose, Costa Rica. The rental price was reasonable that is why we rented from them. I also purchased an additional collision issuance prior to our arrival. When we got to the airport, it turned out that the company is outside of the airport and we needed to be shuttled there. When we got to the place, they did not accept the collision insurance that we purchased ahead of time and charged us $865 insurance for a week which was more expensive than the car rental. They said absolutely nothing about this steep insurance on their site or in their communication emails. We swallowed it because we had no choice.
      Upon car return, we faced another steep rip off. You have to return the car with full tank of gas, but there are no gas stations nearby. Knowing that, we filled the tank several miles from the airport. Our gas tank was 98% full, the niddle barely moved passed the "Full" mark, but we were charged three times the price to fill the remaining 2% of the gas tank. I do not recommend doing business with them.
