      I rented and paid for a vehicle through Priceline. When I went to pick-up the vehicle in Orlando, Florida I was told that they did not honor my insurance and I would have to pay an additional $20.00 a day in order to get the car and they were putting a $1,000 hold on my credit card. They said I wasn't advised because I went through a third party. I paid because I needed the car, but when I called Priceline they said I shouldn't have had to pay any additional charge. I have never had such a bad experience renting a car before. The staff was slow and could have cared less about pleasant and efficient service. They placed the car in the hot sun, took photos of the vehicle inside and out and then made you walk around the vehicle and mark every scrap, dent, and ding that you saw. I was fearful the whole time that I missed something and this bogus operation would charge me an additional charge. I will never use them again and I'm hoping Priceline will come through with a refund of some sort.

      Company gave us a car with expired paper plates. We drove to our destination 4 hours from LAX we notice this and that the paper plate had flown off in the back. They said we have plates and to drive back to get them. In California law, this vehicle is not legal and driving can get the operator a fine. They’d rather have us drive this illegal car then fix the issue.

      I rented a car on 8/13/23 with a pickup date of 8/15/23-8/19/23. I arrive at the counter to pickup the vehicle. I am then told by an employee that since I am not flying into that airport that I would need to pay an additional 400 plus another 150 for insurance which I had already paid 359.06 through Expedia . I then had to drive 40 miles to another rental car agency .I will never book with these crooks again . This was at the BWI airport location. Basically they wanted to charge me 900 for a 4 days rental

      This was the worst rental car experience of my life. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service. 75 wait on shuttle. Then 2.5 hours in line to get car. While in line, I was told my car would not be available because I was late??? I was waiting in a ridiculous line in the building. Didnt get the car I paid for. Then charged same price for dirty rental. All kind of outright lies and scam upsells were being pushed on me and others trying to get thier cars. Then upon return, only 1 employee to check in over 30 cars! Missed the rare shuttles they provided. Others said I was lucky I only waited 4~ hours, they waited over 6 hours in 97 degree heat. This company should be shut down!

      Worst car rental company. Called to let them know I was arriving later they oked it, then charged me an additional 150$. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Terrible shuttle service, rip off. Person after person came in complaining that they are being scammed. The reps don’t care, it’s not their money and they are immune to people being ripped off.. this company should be shut down and should be sued…

      TOTAL SCAM!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! My flight was delayed 5 hours and I updated through automated text messages from what appears to be Next Car on my arrival. When I went to pick up my rental they stated that they cancelled by reservations after 2 hours of original pick up time because I did not notify them. They claim to not have ownership of this automated text system and said it was through Expedia. Expedia denies ownership of the phone number also. And the rental company gets to keep my $69 deposit. Only thing Expedia will do is give me a $50 credit towards using them for future booking.

      Wow, read the reviews. We all agree, "DO NOT RENT FROM NEXT CAR". Bait and switch. They would not accept my insurance company and wanted $68 a day for their insurance. Never experienced this with any other car rental companies I've used over the years. RUDE, SLOW SERVICE, SPEAK DOWN TO YOU, SO UNPROFESSIONAL.... Rented from a real car company that offers respect and on site service.

      SCAM!!!! DON'T RENT FROM NEXT CAR - I booked through priceline and was quoted $225 for a 6 day economy car rental. When I got to the counter I had to pay an additional $396 for insurance. I could not use my own insurance as it was "not good enough" You need at least $300,000 coverage. I couldn't cancel at this point since you have to cancel at least 8 hrs in advance. I was not the only unhappy customer that day. There must have been at least a dozen of us with the same issue. There was not a single customer that walked away from that counter happy. What are you going to do at that point? They have your money either way. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

      DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE. This place is a SCAM company, charging outrageous fees for insurance claiming that their policy (which wasn’t mentioned anywhere when I booked them through Priceline) is that I have to have 100k collision and $300k liability insurance coverage to use my own insurance and since I didn’t have that high of a policy limit for liability, they charged me $350 for their liability insurance for a 1 week rental!! That is OUTRAGEOUS. I then said I would change my own policy coverage to be $100k/$300k so that I met the minimum policy limit that they claim their company requires, and then the guy says “No, you can’t do that and we won’t accept it because I already entered you in our system as having less coverage on your own policy”. This is by definition a SCAM. They are located a mile offsite from the Fort Lauderdale Airport of which you have to take a shuttle to get there so you’re stuck once you are there. I paid the ridiculous fees but will be suing them for fraud once I get back home.

      Little do they know my husband is an attorney and has all the time in the world to tie their asses up in litigation for their predatory sales tactics. I’m also filing a complaint with the Florida Attorney General’s Office and may start a class action lawsuit against them. They picked the wrong woman to piss off and scam money out of!! Beware of this Nextcar Rental Company’s scams.

      *my reservation also was for a mid sized car and they gave me a compact Nissan Versa instead
