I had a highly unpleasant experience with this rental car company in Fort Lauderdale. When my wife tried to pick up our prepaid rental car, they demanded an additional $400 and insisted on insurance coverage, even though our existing auto insurance already covered $100,000 for property damage. It was frustrating to be coerced into paying for $300,000 of property damage coverage for a rental car worth $25,000. This kind of business practice feels like a scam and is definitely not customer-friendly. Be cautious if you choose to rent from them.

I wish I would have read all those reviews before falling for this scam. I booked a rental car for 10 days in Romania, when I arrived there they told me I have to pay a security deposit that can be refunded if I provide proof of insurance. Since I had already had purchased insurance through Priceline, I agreed to pay the amount expecting it to get refunded when I return the car. The company is refusing to refund the amount stating that the insurance I have purchased is not what they required. Nothing like this was explained and I was made to believe I will be getting my money back, if only I had insurance which I did. They charged me $1250 which is a ridiculous amount for a rental car that cost me $156. What a disgusting way to do business. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!

I would give it zero if I could . Total scam . Starts off low then add $12.99 day for sun pass then some insurance management nonsense fee that cost me $200 extra .. all in All it cost me $420 more than what I expected to pay. They give u a discount to pay in advance then they rip u off and
Say your deposit is non refundable.

Do not rent from this business with fraudulent and unscrupulous business practices. We rented a vehicle in the Fort Lauderdale location of Priceless Car Rental through Expedia in October 2023. The price on Expedia tripled by the time we picked up the wreck of a car. We declined the insurance on Expedia as we have multiple sources of car rental insurance on personal policies and this was accepted. By the time we got to the rental location our $300 rental was increased by this businesses mandatory $300 insurance then their mandatory Sunpass toll of $150 for 10 days. We told the business we have our own transponder for Florida as we have a family home there, but they said it's mandatory. Their own website states it is not mandatory. The company rented us a vehicle that had dents and scratches all over it and a wheel bearing issue. They told us the gas tank was just under full, yet it was 3/4 full and their contact states there is a service charge if you don't bring it back full. This business needs to be investigated!!!!! I will also be filing the BBB complaint and we have complained to Expedia who interestingly does not list this business as a rental option since we secured our rental only weeks ago.

WARNING – “bait-and-switch” type of business! I rented a car from their Bucharest (Romania) office, and I ended up being charged about 4 TIMES MORE comparing with renting from an established Company (AVIS, Enterprise and so on). This is their scheme: they are advertising 2-3 cars at much lower price than the rest of their fleet, as “bait”. In the contract they have you sign, they are adding an OUTRAGEOUS amount on top of the actual rental cost, as “insurance”: but ATTENTION – this is, in fact, a “Third party liability” type of insurance (for the possible damage that you will do to others in case of an accident). They will tell you that they will reimburse these money (the rental contract is stating “the amount MAY be refunded…”) if you provide proof you already have this type of insurance issued by other institution for the rental. BUT - if you are using a Travel Credit Card for your rental insurance (as I did), these cards cover ONLY COMPREHENSIVE part (the damages for the rental car), not “third party liability”! (Evan the insurance Nexcar is offering when you are renting the car is still comprehensive only, so they may still charge you for the liability part). I tried to contact NexCar Bucharest to discuss the charges, but they NEVER responded to my inquiries. I contacted NextCar Headquarters (US), but they “could not help me”, stating the Bucharest rental office is a franchise, which operates independently (???). Obviously, this is a “scheme” that has been put together to OVERCHARGE the customers that are not reading all the fine prints of the rental contract (do you?). My advice: STAY AWAY from NexCar rental! Awfully BAD BUSINESS!

Ask if I wanted to bring the car back full of gas or prepay for gas. Since I was unfamiliar with the area and in a large city I opted to prepay. I was charged $50 for gas. I used less than 2 gallon of gas and filled the car up but the refused to refund my $50. The car also had mechanical issues with the brakes. DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL company. All kinds of hidden charges. NOT a reputable company.

We had rented a car in Baltimore the pick up process was fine we go the car all good. Day of return however we had a hard time locating a gas station near by and due to heavy traffic we were running late for our flight and had to turn the car back in with 4gals less of gas. I expected a fee and more expensive fuel cost than at the pump. However reading the contract they emailed me after the fact they charged the 7$ fee and then charged for 21gals of gas at a higher rate than what was on the contract. Sent an email complaint, and I plan on calling a complaint when customer service opens up but this is horrible buisness practice. If the contract says I would have to pay an estimated refuling fee based on fuel cost of 4.75$ per gallon plus a 7$ refuling fee that is what I expect to pay. I will never use this service again.

Low rates are an intentional and complete scam. Do not use this car rental company. Their vehicles are all very poor quality and they will force you to pay an undisclosed $30-$50 per day for an additional coverage no one has. You cannot even add the coverage to your existing policy bc they refuse to let you and require the coverage to exist on your policy 30 days prior. Total scam! Do not use!!

TOTAL SCAMMERS . Run away!!!! You will get there and have hundreds of dollars worth of add on’s (mandatory). Like if you take the toll pass add on its 13.99 a day. If you refused it, you pay 14.99 a day (manditory) . The charge a FEE (not deposited of 250.00 ) to use a depot card instead of credit card. Only accept 2 insurance companies (otherwise, mandatory you use theirs) there were other things too (too many to remember. People were walking out let and right and going back to the airport to rent another company.
