1 starI will never use Forbright Bank for a CD again. You are not allowed to transfer funds externally when your CD matures but must instead call customer service. You then have a long phone wait. When I got through, I had a nice phone rep who told me I needed to fill out a docusign form which she emailed me and it would take 3 to 4 days after receiving the signed form. Four business days later still no transfer of funds, so I call customer service again and they tell me my form was received but not processed and now it will take another 3 days to transfer my small $5,000 CD. I am glad I did a test run on a small CD before placing more money in this bank.Forbright Bank

1 starTerrible! A CD matured at ************** and I gave them specific instructions using a Forbright bank form to transfer the money into another Forbright account. ********************** then proceeded to make an incorrect transfer to a different account altogether! The end result was that the transaction never went through. And because the bank has a 3 day waiting period every time a transfer takes place, I ended up losing nearly two weeks of interest. I then followed up and Investigated with the bank, who then reviewed the Forbank form. It was conclusive evidence that they screwed up. Forbright bank called it human error. And I lost 2 weeks of interest on my C.D that had matured in which I attempted to transfer it out to another account. It's the second time it happened. Now I simply use their high growth savings. And when they become no longer competitive, I will no longer bank with this company.Forbright Bank

1 starI opened a joint account with my husband. The bank did not recognize his password and didn't even see him as the joint owner of the account. I attempted to add him to the account but there was a technical issue that wouldn't allow him to sign on We called numerous times and were told that the issue was sent to the technical division and they would call. No call. This is after spending a long time each time being placed on hold. Next day same issue, We ask to speak to a supervisor and were told that we would get a call back. No one ever called. Their customer service is horrible. A week later, after not resolving the issue that my husband was unable to access his account, I moved my money out and called to close the account. Now I was told that just today they fixed the problem. I no longer trust this bank and it was too little too late. This time I got a call back.Forbright Bank

1 starTrying to close my account, Ive been on the phone for 30+ minutes, trying to return a message from the bank and trying to explain to the employee that my old bank is closed for two weeks now And was hung up on by the employee. I am trying to close my account and have ********************** to send my balance to my new bank. I have given the bank my new account number and routing number to send my balance to the new bank..Forbright Bank

5 starsAfter being denied to a HYSA at a local bank (********************, 5.25 APY), I wanted to test another bank to see if I will get denied. After 10 minutes after getting the denied email from ********************, I have applied and gotten approved thru Forbright Bank, 5.30 APY. Both banks had identical questions, same requirements to meet when completing the application. I have no overdraft, credit score at 3 credit bureau are over 820, no credit freeze, no security freeze, pay bills on time, $0 balance on 2 credit cards and overpayment on 1 credit card, etc.Loving Forbright Bank. For me it take 4 days out of 5 days for my money to be transfer between my bank regular saving account to ********************** HYSA. Both financial institution go thru security of the money being transfer is from a real person, real account and not a fraud thus the reason it take up to 5 days for ACH transfer.Calling **************** and speaking to Suki, Cat and **** are awesome. These ladies provided answer to my questions and more. The ladies have provided me an update with a date when the money will be available to my Forbright Bank account. When calling customer service, I am connected less than 10 minutes. The mobile app is easy to use and to navigate.Forbright Bank is a win. I am very happy with my Growth Savings Account that I have applied and have been approved for a second Growth Savings account as ********************** does not have buckets yet. After calling customer service and speaking to ****, I was informed Forbright Bank will be looking into having buckets within the Growth Savings account in the future In the end everything happens for a reason. I am a happy customer of ********************** that focus on sustainability coming from a licensed architect, LEED BD+C.Forbright Bank

1 starBEWARE OF SERVICE ALERTS!This bank automatically renews CDs without notifying you until the 10-day option to withdraw your money has passed. Hidden deep within its website is a menu item listed as "Settings." Drill down to "Alerts," and there you will find "SERVICE ALERTS." ONLY IF YOU PHYSICALLY CHECK THE BOXES TO SEND YOU A TEXT OR EMAIL WHEN YOUR CD IS MATURING WILL THEY NOTIFY YOU. I learned this after they had renewed my CD at a much later rate.Forbright Bank

2 starsWARNING! - This company is legitimate but watch out. They are a hot mess. I invested in a 9 month CD. The rate was good but their system and customer service is a joke. You can't do anything except see your account information online. You have to call or email for any service or help. Their CD automatically reinvests whether you want it to or not. I did not so I waited on hold to request closure rather than reinvestment. I FINALLY got though to a representative to request my CD closure upon maturity and they had to send me a document to be signed and returned. I did this but when the CD matured a month later, they automatically reinvested my money for another 9 months without my permission and contrary to my signed form submitted to them!!I waited on hold again and asked that my money be returned to me as agreed. I explained that I had requested closure and she said she could see the agreement in their system but could not explain why the money was not returned to me but reinvested instead. When I told her this was not acceptable and asked to speak to a manager, she said "hello? can you hear me?" and hung up on me.BEWARE - UNSCRUPULOUSForbright Bank

It is correct that when a CD reaches maturity, the account holder will receive a notice and have 10 calendar days to determine if they would like to close the CD or change the term. If the CD rolls over, it will do so for the same term and whatever the current interest rate is at the date of maturity. Please note when the CD is nearing it's maturity date, it does show the newly updated maturity date, however this does not indicate it has been automatically renewed and you still have 10 calendar days to make a decision. Our records do indicate we received your signed CD Closure Request (Multi) and ACH Authorization Form on Saturday, August 10th and your account was closed on Monday, August 12th.
