Buyer beware. If a seller makes claims about the state of a product, and then marks it as salvage - even if they say "I only marked it as salvage because of X" - DO NOT BUY IT. Their disputes team will tell you that it was marked as salvage and nothing they claimed matters.

Assume everything is 10 times worse than the seller claims - because they know they can get away with it.

Ive been dealing with them for at least six years. A buyer is not protected in any way. You can be a seller and hide behind the fact that everything is sold as-is, and yet buyers have no recourse when a scam is perpetrated by these sellers. As just one example, I brought a pallet of flatscreen TVs, one of which was in a box. of course theyre not listed as new but theyre not listed as damaged either. when you go to pick these items up, you first have to pay in advance, then youre welcome to pick them up after scheduling & driving, which I did. Every one of those TVs was broken in such a way that it was obvious to whoever put them on pallets. without plugging them in(which certain sellers do not allow) it is impossible to discover til youre home. Keep in mind the game that is performed here: Govdealls facility Tells buyers that theyre not required to pick up an item If you feel its not up to snuff, but if you refuse, you have to then fight for your money back, and regardless of that you will be locked out of an account by the local seller or by the ************************. Furthering ,for anyone who looks online, you will now see that they are allowing third-party car dealers to post their vehicles, and these car dealers are not government sanctioned. They are purely outlets for liquidity centers. Really really really bad. I know what Im doing, and I pity the first time buyer

I ordered a power washer from ************************** for ~ $50 less than the average sale price. The expected delivery date came and went but it never showed. A month after it was expected to arrive, I tried to track my package. *** tracking showed the item was last noted to be in ******** a month ago. I attempted to file a claim with *** in hopes of recovering my package or finding out what happened to it. *** replied that the sending company BLOCKED my ability to file a claim. I contacted the company by email. IMMEDIATELY they replied that my package was lost and that they would refund my money in the next few business days, at which point I noticed there was no sales tax. I asked why they were refunding my money as I wanted the item. If it's lost, they could just send a different one. They said they could not do that as they already offered my refund but that I could order again if I wanted. This, to me, sounds like a perfect scam. They only returned my money because I complained a month after "it got lost". They spent no time researching where the package went and blocked *** from accepting any claims to locate the package. I think they are making beaucoup bucks by "selling" fake packages and only refunding the money for people that raise their awareness for the packages not arriving. I want this stopped. I want their business stopped from scamming others.

If I could leave a 0 stars I would. After many struggles with some items I purchased in the past 12 months (over 20} A few were good, many were not so good, and a couple were really bad. But understanding the nature of the business and how they operate, I've tried to do better about inspecting the items before placing a bid. However that is not possible all the time. This last purchase was the one that broke the camel's back. I purchase 2 identical items, identical description, one did not match the not in service for over a year description....it was more like not in service out in the weather for over 5 years kind of shape. So I took one and the seller agreed to refund me the money because the other item did not match the description. Well Govdeals decided to keep the buyers premium ( $1,500 ) for the item I did not buy even though I purchased the other one. They are far from being a customer driven company, they are not on your side!, and it is an uphill battle all the way until you can't take it anymore....and that's why we're here.Take care of your people, don't forget who pays the premiums when we buy.

Do not buy anything from govdeals especially from Liquidity Services MGL-Sacramento I won an auction and payed for the car yet they wouldn't send me the adress where to pick it up.If you are a bidder and win that does not mean anything. If you win and change your mind you will get charged 40% of the sale and you will be blocked. However the seller can change their mind anytime they want up untill you pick up the item. You can take time off work and be on your way to pick it up they can cancel on you and there is no consequences for them they can just cancel on you and repost as many times as they want to try and get more money. Do not buy anything from govdeals it is a joke of an auction.

Some sellers do not disclose obvious major defects and hide behind lengthy disclaimers, I had to junk 2 cars immediately after I bought them at a cost of $14K. Govdeals has zero customer protection except for filing a useless formal complaint. There should be a zero star rating.

Very disheartening situation !GovDeals I purchased a 2017 f150 xlt super crew with ******* miles. I do accept the responsibility of as is in there disclosure but also have a description of runs and drives well After driving this vehicle less than 100 miles it started smoking. After I charged the oil and drove 400 miles to a **** dealer they had diagnosed a bad high pressure fuel pump that needed replacing($2,295) later. I then finished my travel to ** where I had to wait for another cord dealer inspection as truck was still smoking. After their review the vehicle needs an $11,000 motor replacement as theres scoring to the cylinder walls. After receiving the original title and current registration, there is a warning label that reads warning, odometer discrepancy and it has changed hands approximately four times in less than a year and less than 500 miles. I am a firm believer, that someone or every dealer that had their hands on this vehicle knew something was wrong, and did not disclose. The GovDeals rep has taken my complaint and said they would respond within 24 to 48 hours. We all know that thats a joke a week and a half later with me continuing to call on a regular basis. They finally said that the request for a refund was denied. After $17,800 plus taxes , $2,295 repair bill ,5 hotel stays due to break down and a $150 evaluation I would have been better paying there 40% penalty and refused to pay for this purchase. Instead of being approximately $26,000 out plus a quote of $11,000 for a new motor. There should be laws as to where all vehicles have to go through a safety inspection before selling to protect the consumer. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE CONSIDERING MAKING A GOVDEALS PURCHASE PLEASE TALK THEM OUT OF IT. Govdeals offers no recourse!!!

Beware to buyers of Auctioned vehicles from Liquidity Services -MGL Sacramento: You need to inspect the vehicle before you buy because this seller does not disclose the major problems of the vehicle. They advertise their vehicles very nicely in a good location but their actual location where you pick up the vehicles is in a burned building that has been abandoned. You've been warned.

They locked my account for asking questions about a tractor I was bidding on. This tractor had been listed at least four times for auction. I was blocked from being able to ask questions after questioning this and why it seemed they were running up bids. They said it was because the company selling the tractor complained. I had them delete my account. They do not seem transparent and rude when representing Govdeals.

GovDeals used to be a good source to buy and sell stuff. I have bought all sort of stuff from GovDeals in past 30 years. And I did good. But, in past 4-5 years, GovDeals and all of its affiliate companies have changed their "Seller" policies and are now scamming Buyers. Do NOT let the name of these companies (like All Surplus, Liquidity Services, Bid4Assets etc...) fool you. GovDeals used to only list and auction off or sell items from City, County or State governments as their name imply. But now days, they change their "Seller" policies to include, anyone (private individual, Car Dealers, Junk Brokers, auto repair shops, even a homeless with a phone in his hand selling junks). Another words, now days, anyone can list their junk stuff to be actioned off at their site. These GovDeals affiliated companies are making $$ MILLIONS $$ of dollars in "Buyers and Sellers fee" and no-one is really pay attention to their selling practices. There needs to be a Class Action lawsuit against GovDeals.
